From my understanding, the reason the 1 in 256 glitch works is because the way Gen 1 checks if a move hits is each move has an accuracy score between 1 and 256. When you use a move the game rolls for a random number between 1 and 256, and if the number rolled is lower than the accuracy score of the move, the move hits. Moves listed as having 100% accuracy have an accuracy score of 256. However if you roll a 256 on the accuracy check, the game checks if 256 is lower than 256, which it isn't, and therefore the move missed. Basically they used a less than check when they should've used less than or equal to check.
there are actually a few moves that negate this check entirely, ensuring you hit no matter what, VG myths made a video that explains this during his 0 hit run of pokemon

Geez, Nintendo.... They came up with this idea in like 1984 or something when that's how you kill the pol's voice in original legend of Zelda (only on the Japanese version) where they included a Microphone thing to plug into controller 2 so you're able to scream into it (and pol's voice have big ears... Which means, apparently, that they're sensitive to loud noises, so screaming at them did enough damage to kill all of them in a room, which is way, way funnier if you imagine it happening in a real world scenario where link is just shouting himself hoarse to kill the giant disembodied rabbit heads) ... And Nintendo was still trying to use the concept this many years later on? And that's just with how obnoxious it would be if everyone was screaming the loudest they could to maximize damage output on the move usage, which should have been enough for the Dev team to kill it right there and yet somehow they didn't pick up on the very obvious potential for abuse? I would have been really pissed if the American version had the same mechanic for killing pol's voice in it because that would have driven me crazy even at 5 or 6 years old...and if not me, then my parents, for sure.
The thing that confuses me is youre saying there are people who actually like to listen to those high pitched screaches of thier cries. No in battle its unavoidable but who actually wants to listen to thier cries
Kanto Karfetch'd is great. Adamant, full attack/speed EVs, defiant. Leaf blade, brave bird, night slash and some quirky move. Citrus berry. Might not destroy all tanky pokemon but it will give a big dent especially if defiant activated. Competetive teams are so bad, they have no diversity to them. It comes down to speed ties and damage RNG. I mix multiple tiers with the teams for casual battles. Not super team but fun.
Seems like their Pokémon knowledge is a bit out of date. In Scarlet/Violet you gain vitamins and feathers that let you gain exactly the right EVs in seconds.. plus hyper training is SUPER easy.. got hundreds of bottle caps saved up for hyper training and I'm just a filthy casual.

the worst chattot story I know of comes from a friend with a very annoying kid neighbor
he traded it a chattot how screamed "YourParentsDivorceIsYourFault"
kid cried, parents took the game away, kid cried some more
f confusion. PTSD. all love
Top of the shelf... is that an Antibus plush?
Where you get your shirt Karl? It's amazing
i honestly was expecting a pokemon whose pokemon it had to fight for good ev’s were like entirely dark colored pokemon like jynx or umbreon
Ogerpon is my birthday Pokemon! At least from the U.S. order of dates, lol. 1017 😊❤
Had to be the guzzlord episode. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
AAAAAAAAAAAAH
Not to brag, but I won a shiny pokemon with all perfect IVs in an online trade. Weird that its name is a website though...
Imagine you just get wonder traded a Pokémon whose name is your IP address
@@whyiwakeup6460 Modern horror story there 😶
Geez, Nintendo.... They came up with this idea in like 1984 or something when that's how you kill the pol's voice in original legend of Zelda (only on the Japanese version) where they included a Microphone thing to plug into controller 2 so you're able to scream into it (and pol's voice have big ears... Which means, apparently, that they're sensitive to loud noises, so screaming at them did enough damage to kill all of them in a room, which is way, way funnier if you imagine it happening in a real world scenario where link is just shouting himself hoarse to kill the giant disembodied rabbit heads)
Not only does chatot say racist things but also look like many degrees of bigot in its official art
Edit: corrected spelling, I hope
The thing that confuses me is youre saying there are people who actually like to listen to those high pitched screaches of thier cries. No in battle its unavoidable but who actually wants to listen to thier cries
God damn, I never knew Chatot was a pokemon. I thought he was better.
They could have fixed it, but they didn't.
When they first said racism, my first thought was jynx
Kanto Karfetch'd is great. Adamant, full attack/speed EVs, defiant. Leaf blade, brave bird, night slash and some quirky move. Citrus berry. Might not destroy all tanky pokemon but it will give a big dent especially if defiant activated.
Competetive teams are so bad, they have no diversity to them. It comes down to speed ties and damage RNG. I mix multiple tiers with the teams for casual battles. Not super team but fun.
Pretending like ev items don’t exist is funny
Seems like their Pokémon knowledge is a bit out of date. In Scarlet/Violet you gain vitamins and feathers that let you gain exactly the right EVs in seconds.. plus hyper training is SUPER easy.. got hundreds of bottle caps saved up for hyper training and I'm just a filthy casual.
Watching this video back to back with the one about Francis Galton is a touch awkward.
You need to see temp6t's matches - they do matches using deliberately off-meta teams.
Level 1 Lechonk moment
Like with BurnOut's dumb face thing, but like I have to admit I can see the dumb idea's sensible thing.
I got 4 Gen1 misses in a row(!) That's a 1/4billion chance.
14:00 wonder trade was in gen 6, which was the generation that removed chatter's special ability to record racial slurs. gen 4/5 GTS chatot were probably telling people to go fuck themselves though.
