- Need to fix a broken firing pin on a Beretta 84 or Beretta 85? This video features a Beretta 85 but the slide disassembly is the same across all 80 series (84 and 81).
There are only a few differences between the few models of the Cheetah (Beretta 81, Beretta 84 and the Beretta 85) so this video should help you across all of them.
Like the Beretta 84FS Cheetah, I just love the Beretta 85FS Cheetah as well. These are fun guns to take to the range!
Don't forget to watch my other beretta content including how to assemble the Beretta 84 slide and other Beretta model 84 and Beretta 85fs Cheetah handgun content. ! They are conveniently located in the following playlist

I just bought a Beretta 84F that had a couple years of neglect and surface rust on it. Your videos helped me take it apart and give it the thorough, careful cleaning and scrubbing it deserved after many apparent years of loyal service. Thank you for posting this!
These are great guns! Glad you got one and found the video helpful!
Great videos, thanks for making them. Learning so much from each of them.
Glad you like the video as well as the other one. Thanks for leaving a comment!
Awesome video! Thank you much!
Very instructional. Great video even though I don’t own one.
Thanks for watching! Maybe it is just me.... but I kind of like watching things being taken apart and put back together. It is even more fun to do it!
How long should my extractor be I ordered one and it’s 1.3 in seems too long?
Would you carry one of these Beretta Cheetah as your CCW? Let's hear you down here in the comments!
Of course I'd carry it. Great gun.
Great video! Please, please, please do the frame as well.
Frame disassembly video is completed (but hasn't launched) and the re-assembly video is still being worked on. I am running a little behind schedule but with any luck I will be able to finish up this weekend and launch them soon. Thanks for watching.
@@TheRogueBanshee that would be awesome, thank you.
What do you do when the pin won't come out? My surplus model has a bunch of crud and rust on top of the extractor, and I'm having a lot of trouble popping out that pin...
So, I am not a gunsmith or armorer, therefore I cannot give advice for liability reasons. I have had luck with rusted pins being soaked in Kroil or PB blaster for a long period of time.
Thanks for watching.
@@TheRogueBanshee Thank you! I will give this a try and hopefully be able to finally disassemble the old girl...
@@dsldarklordspaniard6672 hi, having the same problem. Did it worked?
Found replacement extractor ok, but can't find a firing pin -- any ideas?
have you tried numrich? I am not sure if they will sell you one if you are not an FFL though..
@@TheRogueBanshee there is a guy on gunbroker who makes replacement firing pins. I picked up 2 for my surplus 81s and they work great.
How do I remove the rear sight on a Beretta 87 Cheetah?
Punch and hammer method. Some "universal" sights pushers may work.
I watched these video's backwards lol
Me too!
Was it like listening to an old LP backwards to see if someone is saying satanic words?
@@TheRogueBanshee Stairway backwards? Not quite, "It's my sweet Satan ... Oh I will sing because I live with Satan."
Get thee BEHIND ME, SATAN!! Or some such. If you notice a ghost in the machine cast it out by playing, No More Mr. Nice Guy, from In a Metal Mood, by Pat Boone (oh yes hed did, in 1997). Thing is, you gotta spin it backwards at 66.6 rpm 😲😈👿😇
