Flood risk in Oxford before and after the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme

Video showing how water fills up the floodplain in Oxford during a flood, and then how the same flood would develop after the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme is in place. The floodplain will still get wet, but fewer properties will be affected.
This scenario is based on a flood with a 1 in 100 (1%) chance of happening each year. That is a bigger flood than any recent flooding we have seen in Oxford, including in 2007.
