Yep, Lawrence is phenomenal. Yes, they are brother and sister, and their younger brother Linus is one of the background singers. Try "I'm Confident I'm Insecure" and "23" and "The Weather" next!
All of those are great suggestions, but check out the acoustic or acoustic-ish versions. Every version is great, but those are the most impressive.
@@matttyler8331 Oh absolutely! Thank you for making that clarification. I was referring to the acoustic-ish versions for all!
Can’t wait to hear all the acoustic-ish versions on this channel. It’s wild that there aren’t a ton more reactions to these already on other channels.
It’s always special to see someone’s reaction when they discover Gracie Lawrence’s vocals. Lawrence is a band that would have found a home on one of Stax Record’s labels in an earlier time. While all their “acoustic-ish” videos are phenomenal demonstrations of the vocal ranges of the band and their friends, for a closer sample to their output (which includes a 3-piece horn section), I would recommend finding their track “More” from their second album, “Living Room,” a song I’ve described as the best Earth, Wind & Fire song that was never actually an Earth, Wind & Fire song (it’s an original Lawrence tune).
Welcome to the world of Lawrence.
Enjoy the rabbit hole. It's wild!
Aren't they great? My son introduced me to Lawrence (that's the name of the band, not just the female singer) and this song a few months ago. This group is in heavy rotation in our house. My son is looking forward to seeing them when they come to our town in a few months.
Yay! So excited that you found Lawrence! They are amazing! I havent heard a song that isn't a bop from them yet! You are in for a treat!!!! An older one of thiers that I havrnt seen anyone reactto is make a move. Any and all of thier stuff is incredible! Can't wait for you to react to more!!! Really enjoyed your reaction!
They are from NYC/Manhattan. Fantastic, fun group!
I’m subscribing just so I can see when he discovers their song “I’m Confident That I’m Insecure”. Gracie is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 in that one! And THE WEATHER, because everyone needs to see they can even slay a slow sentimental song just as hard. 🥰❤️🙌🏼
"Do You Wanna Do Nothing With Me" got me hooked on these guys years ago. You should definitely check out that song, too.
Correct brother & sister duo, last name Lawrence, other songs besides the ones mentioned above to check out are Casualty, Make a Move, It's Not all About You. Also Clyde wrote the theme song for the beauty pagent in Miss Congeniality at age 5. They are actually from NY. 😊
These kids absolutely fire
I love Lawrence you’ll enjoy their music
Yup - Welcome to Lawrence (yeah brother/sister). Check out all their Acoustic versions of anything... they are absolutely amazing.
Instant fan! Her voice wow! All of them amazing .
Welcome to the Lawrence Family Business! They are going to kick off a new tour late summer 2024. Just start lining them up. While the acoustic versions are always fire, I'd encourage you to see the normal 8 piece band in action as well. Nothing but banger after banger.
Clyde Lawrence wrote the theme song for the film Miss Congeniatlity....when he was 5. He is literally a prodigy.
Love Lawrence, got a sub my friend
🎼🎼🌱🌱🌱🎠🎠🎠🎠 .. to whomever suggested this gem .. thank you very, very much !! Talk about a pleasant surprise... with some wham - bam - thank - you - Mam talent .. oh yeah .. Fite 🔥 fire 🔥 fire 🔥 fire .. fire it up people's.. BAHHH - BOOOOOM 🎠🎠🎠🎠🎠🎠🌱🌱🎼
Please watch their acoustic ish version for Guy I Used To Be!
Yay, another member! Such a great band. They are siblings. Gracie is amazing, but Clyde is also fantastic. They just came out with" Guy I used to be acoustic-ish," where he is lead in vocals. He is the one who arranges all the music and is just a genius that needs credit. I also love how in all of their acoustic versions, they allow all the background singers to have a moment to shine, and they credit everyone who is performing (if you want to look them up).
OK Welcome to the club. Now that you've found them you need the background on them lol Here's a quick doc they did. Most of us on here are seeing them on their upcoming tour...we're going here in Fort Lauderdale in Sept. Here's their doc so you know them for your future reactions. Enjoy!

So glad you got to see this. I've been watching your XG reactions and I love those but this is my other favorite group to watch people react too.
Ya you got to listen to 23 acousticish, amd I'm confident I'm insecure acousticish as well!!
I think they've been hanging out at the Pentecostal Church! Great reaction as always AB! I think we'll see them again don't you?
Well... South part of Brooklyn. 😁
You need to do Lee Greenwood and Home Free God Bless the U.S.A withe the Air Force Band
React to Tobacco Road (live) by Edgar and Johnny Winter
I DARE YOU
I love your material. Please do...
Little Girl Blue by Janis Joplin.
Pick the video from "The Tom Jones Show!!""
I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE IT!!
I will never take them seriously after watching them open for the Jonas brothers and the atrocious monstrosity cover they did of sean pauls get busy. they are not it.
Respectfully agree to disagree.
Sean Paul’s song is great in its own right and brought Digital Dancehall to a wide audience, but it also suffers from a repetitive drum track and lyrics that revel in macho posturing and the male gaze. Lawrence’s funked-up version adds a smart jazz element, does some judicious lyric pruning and, by giving Gracie lead vocal, adds an element of empowerment. Check out the video they did of it with Rashawn Ross (trumpeter from Dave Matthews) and see if your opinion still holds.
Couldn't disagree more. Love the re imagining of the classic with a New Orleans second-line style rhythm and horns flavor. So dang good.
