    it would be super interesting to learn kind of break down by weeks what you learned in the bootcamp and how you think it would be helpful to you in the profession. Also super interesting to really see more detailed what you needed to do to make decisions you made in the project. There are barely any videos like that.. thanks a bunch for sharing!

    This is cool, I’ve been a UX designer for 2 years now and I actually never did much on the maps and all the other stuff. Mostly interviews, wireframes personas and other stuff but good work and keep it up.

    So how was your overall experience? I guess by now you must have already finished the bootcamp. Would be nice a end to end review. Does it have especialization (UI; Voice, Front-end)? How is the career counselor and job hunting? etc etc. Thanks Sharon! :)

    Can you go at any pace that works for you, or do you have to finish certain things every week?

    I just wanted to ask something.
    Does Parsons give full scholarships? Or is it possible to get full ride in parsons?

    Is it true that springboard has a longer course for those without design background?

    • @sharonyeunkim
      @sharonyeunkim  3 роки тому +1

      Hey! Regardless if you have a design background or not- if you take the UX/UI Bootcamp course you are expected to finish within 9 months. If you enrolled in just the UX Bootcamp that would be 6 months. You can finish faster or slower though if you'd like! For myself, I'm taking an extra month in the UX/UI course so it will be 10 months.

      If you don't have a design background I'm not sure if they do- I would reach out to them directly to see your options.

    Why did you choose Springboard? How much say do you have for choosing a mentor?

    • @sharonyeunkim
      @sharonyeunkim  3 роки тому +3

      Hi David!
      I chose springboard honestly for the mentor. As for choosing-- the absolute MOST important factor is having your schedules match- so don’t really focus on trying to match expertise interests tbh. I made my “availablity” open 24/7 and requested a specific mentor to make sure I got them.

    • @davidluft
      @davidluft 3 роки тому +1

      @@sharonyeunkim Did you know about this mentor from Google beforehand? If so, how did you know of them?
      When you say don't focus on trying to match expertise interests, what do you mean?

    • @sharonyeunkim
      @sharonyeunkim  3 роки тому +2

      @@davidluft @David Luft Hello! I knew them from the Bootcamp as they were one of the available mentors that is included.
      When I said "don't focus on trying to match expertise interests"- I mean that in the grand scheme of things it's more "who you know is more important than what you know" (as I've been told). Considering you are all still in the UX space, the different specializations/expertise interests within UX/UI become negligible when applying for jobs in my opinion.
      Overall my main point is- your connections/relationships with others are important!
