Hey J and forum😀 As usual I watch Janos vids and go on a research tangent. What I can say is that as a stand alone field in high fidelity music reproduction x-overs should be a PhD subject! For about 6 mths now I’ve gone with less is more and am very happy with my 1950’s 301 12” Goodmans drivers. If you don’t know them Goodmans of Wembley UK was a very respected name in loudspeaker manuf. after WW2 up to the early 1970’s when it was sold sold and sold again becoming the cheap-ass electronics label you see today🥺 Their drivers and excellent horn midrange and tweeter were selected for the Voice of the Theatre designs exported to public theatres in Europe and make a great alternative to Altec-Lansing JBLs although the price difference is unfortunately narrowing( An 18” Goodmans field coil sold for $6k USD a couple yrs backI) Happy listening and hope y’all had a reflective Easter🙏

" Can my amplifier drive those speakers ? "
DEALER : " Yes maybe but the speaker needs a better one to live up to it's potential ! "
    " What's the price ? "..............................there you go !!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL :)))) Indeed, people are always thinking that an amplifier must be better in case it can drive more difficult (in other words - less reactive) speakers. The right question for every single amp would be not whether it can drive a singled out loudspeaker, but what is the right speaker to use with it... :)
