It's probably tiring to be one of only 2 people in the history of the NFL to be named Defensive Player of the Year 3 times.... along side the man considered to be the greatest defensive player of all time... I'm guessing you're out of breath walking up the stairs... or taking out the garbage...
With O-linemen grabbing him, tackling him and he being double and triple-teamed he still causing havoc for the QB --- yeah you could say Watt is a beast!
He didn't deserve the MVP. The MVP is the Most Valuable Player. The Texans didn't even make the playoffs. If they had Rodgers, and the Packers had Watt, the Packers would've missed the playoffs and the Texans would've made the playoffs because they had the best QB in the game. Rodgers is a far more valuable football player than Watt.
DCK102988 he had the best season out of any player fuck all that "most valuable player" bullshit if thats the case then the QB should get the award every year because they are always more valuable then someone like watt.
DCK102988 not agreeing with you, the MVP should go to the player who had the best year. andy dalton is more valuable to the bengals then JJ Watt is to the texans but should andy dalton get more MVP votes? no he shouldn't.
DCK102988 Making the playoffs is not a prerequisite for MVP. Rodgers did everything he did because of an entire offense. JJ Watt did it with little to no assistance. Not saying Rodgers isn't a great player but I don't believe he would have had such a great season on really bad offense. Rodgers doesn't single handedly make up the offense for the Packers. It's that simple.
He played the game, Helped him up, and played the game again. Thats good sportsmanship if you ask me. He's not gonna help him up and then run the other direction when the ball is snapped. He's gonna play the game
I honestly think that Watt will go down as the best D-lineman of all time, and has the potential to be the best Defender. Give him a superbowl ring, and a few more DPOY awards... Damn.. He should easily break the all-time sack record too, as well as single-season. Last year he had ZERO help on the D-Line. Now he should have a healthy Clowney, and Vince wilfork in the Middle.
As a Texans fan this is so true he had no help on defense with him clowney was hurt Cushing is still recovering from injury both of our 2 best starting corners kept getting hurt we had an old man as our dt mercilus was up and down we had bad safety's and plus our offense was meh no qb but he was still so dominant but now he has Wilfork, better safety's and corners better lb s hopefully clowney can play and we also have nix that I heard is doing way better
I was at this game and I'll say it, "this sound fx video doesn't even show half of what Watt did that day." He was a factor on every single play literally. Only Texans fans know this, but Watt is a difference maker on every play he's in on. He forced a few picks, was held by lineman on 60% of the plays, batted a few passes down and was walking up and down the sidelines anxious to get back in the game. Against the Titans and Jags last year, he had 10 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, 6 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, a fumble recovered, a safety and a diving TD catch. No one else did that against those teams.
It's sad how the Texans have one of the Top 5 Defenses in the League, yet they have the Bottom 5 Offenses in the League. Their Offense is such a joke and it's hurting them.
+Patrick Nadro Their QB situation is pretty sad, though. Defenses will just stack the box, stop Foster, and force either Hoyer or Mallet to throw. They need a legit QB, with the defense they have now.
Travis K. Well Hoyer and Mallet have been looking good so far. Do they need to improve? Absolutely, there is always room for improvement, but they aren't bad. They are just Average.
+George Horna That's what I mean. If they had a better QB than 'average', the Texans could be alright. Without Foster for a while, it's going to be rough for the QB.
Travis K. Tbh, Foster isn't that Great. He's always Injury Prone, every season he misses a chunk of it because he's always hurt. Blue can do a better job, he's a lot tougher than him. As for the QB situation I think Mallet might have the advantage when it comes to the Regular season. Mallet is 6'6" Hoyer is 6'2" The height Mallet has gives him a bit of an advantage, but Hoyer is more experienced.
what i like about jj watt is that he will talk trash but its never menacing or personal. its all in the heat of the game. for example the way he helped the QB up after tackling him. respect
I am a Broncos fan and I am still angry he didn't get MVP. When you see such a raw talent like JJ watt has it doesn't matter who your favorite team is you have to stand up and recognize these players.
So true. I had a home improvement project I had been avoiding because I needed help and any other excuse I could find, watched this and went to work! Project complete and the ole’ lady loved it.

If they had Rodgers, and the Packers had Watt, the Packers would've missed the playoffs and the Texans would've made the playoffs because they had the best QB in the game. DCK102988 The Texans were one Ravens loss away from being in the playoffs and the only reason they were that close was because of Watt. Rodgers isn't even the MVP of the Packers in my opinion. Most people won't talk about clay Matthews being moved to inside linebacker midway thru the season then their momentum picked up or Lacy being a 1000 yard rusher, or jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb making crazy catches. This is twice in 4 years Watt was snubbed for the MVP. 20.5 sacks, 15 passes defended, 89 plays behind the line of scrimmage, and more assists than can be counted. That was 2012. He had the same season in 2014 but added an INT, 5 forced fumbles, 4 fumbles recovered, oh and scored 5 TD's. If you ask me, UNANIMOUS DPOY, 5 td's, and carrying a team with 4 different qb's to a winning record spells MVP any and every year.

Watt had 4 different qb's 3 of which were sorry. Yet he became the first ever unanimous DPOY, first player ever to record 20+ sacks in multiple sessions, and first lineman in 45 years to score 5 TD's. Oh and the Texans won 7 more games than the year before finishing 9-7 which is a winning record. That's a career stat line for 99% of the d lineman to ever play the game. By the way every time, Rodgers steps on the field the ball is in his hands. Every time Watt steps on the field, his team doesn't even have the ball. Watt made more of an impact with less opportunities than Rodgers. Hands down MVP.

Absolute Beast! I knew he was great but I definitely didn't know he was non stop attack, destruction, causing turnovers and scoring TD's on offense and defense. WOW!
he isn't the same right now he came back off of back surgery too soon that is why hes out now pushed too hard i don't think he will ever have another 20+ sack season but he will come back next year and still have 10+ regularly each year
I highly disagree. The MVP is the Most Valuable Player. The Texans didn't even make the playoffs. If they had Rodgers, and the Packers had Watt, the Packers would've missed the playoffs and the Texans would've made the playoffs because they had the best QB in the game. DCK102988 Rodgers has a beastly duo at WR (Cobb/Nelson) and a brilliantly tough defense. Watt was the only player on the Texans who could make a consistent impact. While Watt couldn't take the packers to the playoffs, i doubt Rodgers could take the Texans there
Okay you obviously don't know Packer football... Cobb took a paycut so he could stay with Rodgers. That's because he knows he won't be near as good with any other QB. Rodgers makes his receivers better. Not the other way around.
***** he can't have u seen the Patriots defense I mean yea they prally got a interception last play of the game in a sb but watt was brought into this league (2011 texans dline)which made him an amazing player all around not saying he wasn't good coming into the league but he had lots of help including wade Phillips

Genetic freak this guy is incredible
+Daniel Ramirez He's a HOF and crazy thing he isn't even done yet, also broke tons of record and I believe another Defense of the year and Man Of the YearRRR.....
a very rare pepe
彼のキャプテンシーに、日本の中間管理職は敬意を表します。低迷するチームを、そして自らをも鼓舞して戦う姿勢は尊敬して止みません。彼がいる限り、テキサンズを応援し続けます❗
Anybody can say what they want good or bad but I'll say this this guy's a hundred million dollar man and at the end of the day that's got to bring a smile to his face
kinda reminds me of Thad from BMS
"I am tired, just from wooohin' "
The GOAT of DE’s!!!!
im a dolphin fan since 83 but I can help but love the way Watt plays football and the type of Man he is of the field
1:18 That footwork is dialed in nicely!
3:29 He literally ran over the O-Linemen Lol
He really deserves a ring🤕
Lol this guy is unreal im so jelous hes not in my pats...i would literrally cry if he ever came to the patriots. Hes the best defender of all time
+Bryan Pena Same bro. #Patsnation
All aboard the bandwagon. #seahawks4lyfe
He is my favorite player.
5:34 I am watching this in 2019 and the Coach for the Texans here is now the Coach for Titans
Lol
jj watt equals thad castle
Nah Brian Cushing is literally Thad castle of the NFL. Watch his Mic'd up videos
"I'm beating these guys like a drum out here"
“This is football “🤣🤣
WELCOME TO ARIZONA SIR!!! 💪💪💪
Absolute Beast! I knew he was great but I definitely didn't know he was non stop attack, destruction, causing turnovers and scoring TD's on offense and defense. WOW!
dude was robbed of the MVP
Derick Smetzer yeah but Rodgers did amazing that year too
Parker Schuh I agree Rodgers was unreal. But it wasn’t something we hadn’t seen by a QB before. Watt was making genuine history
i feel so bad he's on a ass team
Man I'm a Texans fan were all right and if he wanted to he could leave anytime😂
*Alright
And he cant leave because he signed that big ass contract
Yeah but he isn't now they are playing well plus he doesn't want to leave
"SNOWCAPS PERHAPS!"
That is a legend right there. If only he was on the Steelers, J.J, T.J. and Harrison would be unstoppable!
1:25 what it’s all about, even in dominance be Humble..much respect
No one can mess with J.J. Watt! Well I mean, except the Patriots who scored 27 unanswered points.
he isn't the same right now he came back off of back surgery too soon that is why hes out now pushed too hard i don't think he will ever have another 20+ sack season but he will come back next year and still have 10+ regularly each year
That was mostly due to bad secondary.
Should have won MVP hands fucking down. SMH.
I highly disagree. The MVP is the Most Valuable Player. The Texans didn't even make the playoffs. If they had Rodgers, and the Packers had Watt, the Packers would've missed the playoffs and the Texans would've made the playoffs because they had the best QB in the game. Rodgers is a far more valuable football player than Watt.
DCK102988 Watt took a paycut to stay in Houston. Don't go telling me that Watt wouldn't be 5x better on the patriots, packers, seahawks, or broncos.
***** he can't have u seen the Patriots defense I mean yea they prally got a interception last play of the game in a sb but watt was brought into this league (2011 texans dline)which made him an amazing player all around not saying he wasn't good coming into the league but he had lots of help including wade Phillips
Ron Leary had something to say about his wood ing.
Wooing
I Smell Fresh Cash Yup and Romo schooled him that one play too lol
0:29 - 0:30 it cracks me up how he’s just saying that to everyone even though they were not in the conversation lmao!!!
from the UK, never seen a full NFL game, never seen one of these guys in the flesh. JJ looks pretty normal standing with all those other athletes, until I realise it's just because they're all giants. Dude is almost 21 stone. He's a house!
How do you move that fast when you're that big?? Fair enough I have no idea what' s going on but it's super impressive
