  • Matthew 15:21-28, why did Jesus call the Canaanite woman a dog? Is this a story about the faith of the Canaanite woman? Or is it that Jesus calls a woman a dog in order to insult her? Also, why did Jesus initially refuse to help a gentile woman? In this video, Pastor Nelson with Bible Munch answers the question, “Why did Jesus call the Canaanite woman a dog?”.

As a gentile ... I was emotional when i read this chapter of Matthew about the Faith of the gentile woman because of her Faith ...she humbled herself by saying even dogs eats the crumbs that falls from their master's table.... She knows that a crumbs is enough to heal her demon possessed daughter or simply she has the faith that its just a small thing or too easy for Jesus Christ to heal her daughter.

This explanation really helped my spirit, I swear I could've cried. A few weeks ago I saw a video on this situation of Jesus calling the Caananite woman a dog, and I did not recall reading that passage. So I opened my Bible and read it for myself, and I found myself actually quite upset by it. By how Jesus seemed to ignore the woman the first time, and then made that statement seeming to say she was a little dog that was lesser.
This honestly had me pretty upset with God for days, at a time when I was already having a challenge to my faith. But then I found this video and it all makes so much sense. I literally laughed in joy from it, and I had to repent for my anger, and it's like Jesus was saying "That's right, buddy. You owe me an apology." Afterwards I felt like a dark ugliness was lifted from me and I was no longer in a place of dark, angry feelings towards God. Thank you for this message.

@ArchimedesBCJesus said you do not take the food from the children and give it to dogs, which this word means House pet type of dog, how do we know he is referring to a house pet and not a nasty dog on the street??? Cuz the Caananite woman responds "and even the (housepet dog) eats the scraps that fall the master's table", did u catch that?? "THE MASTER'S Table!" That means the dog is a housepet, it belongs to the master and is under his table, so even if u didnt know the hebrew, u see both Jesus and the Woman know what each are referring too and Jesus rewarded her for her faith by healing possessed daughter.... Jesus was fulfilling the prophecy, He came for the Children of Israel first, then the Gentiles next, so it wasn't her turn Just yet, Jesus is the Food for the Children, but like a housepet in Jesus Mercy he gave some "Food" aka crumbs to the Gentile (healed her daughter) to hold her over in the meantime, same way u do ur housepet Dog, and Jesus just that, Children of Israel had a chance at Jesus they rejected him and then he extended himself to ALL the world, gentiles included...and fyi Jesus used another word to refer to nasty stray dogs who referring to evil sinful people and thats not the word used here in greek, this the housepet version of the word

The word "meet" in this context means "proper" or "appropriate." So when Jesus says "It is not meet to take the children's bread and to cast it to the dogs," He is saying that it is not proper or appropriate to take something that is meant for one group of people (the children) and give it to another group (the dogs).
In this passage, Jesus is speaking with a Canaanite woman who has come to Him asking for healing for her daughter. At first, Jesus seems to ignore her, but when His disciples urge Him to send her away, He tells her that His mission is to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The woman persists in asking for help, and Jesus responds with the statement about not giving the children's bread to the dogs.
Some scholars interpret Jesus' statement as a test of the woman's faith and persistence. Others suggest that He may have been using the language and attitudes of His culture to challenge the prevailing notion that non-Jews were inferior to Jews. In either case, the woman's response shows her faith and humility, and Jesus commends her for her great faith and heals her daughter.

True worship is in spirit and in truth. Jesus came didn't came primarily for the lost sheep of Israel. He came for all humans. However, the gospel was preached first to the Jews because they were waiting for the Messiah. Once again, there is no favoritism in Christianity. There is neither Jew nor Gentile in Christ.

After the resurrection Jesus said, ”As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world” (John 17:18), and he told his disciples, ”Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” (Mark 16:15). Besides, I don’t deny that Christianity has Hebrew/Judean roots, but Christianity is a UNIVERSAL and not an ethno-religion. Moreover, St. Paul's teachings are in line with the teachings of Christ.

To help you understand better, the word dog in ancient Greek is κύων but the suffix -άριον is used in diminutive nouns, meaning words that express smaller or more tender forms of the object they describe.
    For example:
"δάκτυλος" (finger) → "δακτύλιον" (small finger) "κύων" (dog) → "κυνάριον" (small dog/puppy)
"πλοῖον" (ship) → "πλοιάριον" (small ship)
This suffix gives the word a diminutive or affectionate character, often indicating something smaller or cuter than usual. So the word dog here is meant as a loving puppy

Mathew reveals Jesus blatantly saying he came for the Jewish people, not the Gentiles. Furthermore, Jesus referred to the Gentiles as being outside his goal, or mission, because he was only interested in preaching to Jewish people. Jesus was Jewish, was raised in a Jewish family, and only had Jewish followers. This is why he said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." The woman continued to 'beg' Jesus for help and Jesus said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs." After Jesus appears to be admitting he thinks very poorly of non Jewish people he states he believes they should not be fed because feeding the Jewish people matters more to him and his mission. Only when the woman excepts Jesus' low opinion of her (little dog) does Jesus agree to help her.

This is not true at all, it irritates me nobody gets this parable, Jesus said to her "u dont take the food of children and give it to dogs", first of all in greek this version of dog is referring to Housepet type of dog, and even if u didnt know that, did u catch the Caananites womans response she said" Yes Jesus but even house pet dogs are given the scraps of food by their masters", keyword "MASTER"!! Meaning this is dog that kept by the master, which is in ur house, which is a beloved pet animal, he is not insulting her and she didnt take it as an insult, Jesus uses dog to refer to evil ppl earlier in the gospels and its a different word... and Jesus responses like ur faith is so great ill reward by healing ur daughter..... Jesus primary goal was to rescue the Children of Israel, hence the "Children" reference, we non Jews / Gentiles are the "House Pets" and it was all apart of Gods plan cuz what happened they rejected Jesus, and thats all Jesus was saying like hey im here for the Jews not the not Jews its not ur time yet for me to give you FOODDDD and the woman Responded, saying basically i know u cant gimme Food im not ur child but even im ur loving house pet and even Food aka crumbs is given to the loving housepet. And Jesus was like basically like that that is a great point, ima reward you...and this goes over everyones heads in the comment section

She agrees and says Yes Lord and then he heals her daughter and demons removed. Jesus can be misunderstood often. If he truly thought she was a dog and called her a dog such as said "I would heal you but YOU ARE A DOG" that would be different. Those who give sage advice because they are empaths know we can pick up on personal things about people and guide them in the right direction. Chances are this woman was doing something to invite demons into her life.

She called herself a dog first. And Jesus, in fact, was even harsher than described.. but it was all an act, a show by Jesus, as every great teacher does, because He wanted to teach the disciples a lesson; that He is here for everyone who needs Him, irrespective of them being Jew or Gentile, and that there are many who yearn for Him.
Read Poem of the Man God chapter 330. To understand it further, read from Chapter 325. Jesus and the disciples have been insulted and driven away from so many places that the disciples are furious by how He is being treated, say that there is no point spreading the message to these people, no one here needs Him, and even loving and tender John begins to scheme to physically assault a few who insulted Jesus. Jesus is deeply hurt by the disciples' behaving this way despite Him teaching them love and forgiveness.
The Canaanite woman comes to Jesus as He is leaving a house early in the morning. He is "inexplicably hard" towards the woman. He even says to Jonah, who has hosted Him, "«I have no time, Jonah. I have a long way to go and in any case I have come for the sheep of Israel."
The woman desperately pleads to Him saying "«I saw You yesterday while You were crossing the torrent and I heard them call You: “Master.” I followed You, among the bushes, and I heard what these people were saying. I understood who You are... And I came here this morning before daybreak and I remained here, on the threshold, like a little dog, until Sarah got up and made me go in. Have mercy, my Lord, on a mother and a little girl!
But Jesus is walking fast and turns a deaf ear to her entreaties.
The people of the household say to her: «Resign yourself! He will not listen to you. He said so Himself: He has come for the children of Israel...»
She is desperate but at the same time full of faith, and she stands up saying: «No. I will pray until He listens to me.» And she follows the Master shouting her entreaties, which draw to the doors of the houses in the village all those who are already awake and who, like the people of Jonah's household, begin to follow her to see what happens.
In the meantime the apostles, seized with astonishment, look at one another and whisper: «Why is He doing that? He has never done it before!...»»
In the meantime the apostles, seized with astonishment, look at one another and whisper: «Why is He doing that? He has never done it before!...»
And John says: «He cured also those two people at Alexandroscene.» «But they were proselytes» replies Thaddeus.
«And what about the woman He is going to cure now?»
«She is a proselyte as well» says the shepherd Annas.
«Oh! but how many times has He cured Gentiles or heathens! And what about the Roman girl?...» says Andrew desolately, as he cannot set his mind at rest seeing Jesus' harsh behaviour towards the Cananean woman.
After even more drama and exchanges between Jesus and the woman, Jesus finally lights up with joy seeing her faith and persistence of the Gentile woman, that has persisted for so long, right in front of the disciples who were alarmed by Jesus' harshness ("...while Andrew whispers: «Poor woman!», and John repeats continuously: «I do not understand... I do not understand...» John is dumbfounded at Jesus' behaviour.")
He blesses her, and says to the disciples:
«But, Master, why did You make her implore You so much, before listening to her?» asks James of Zebedee.
«Through your fault and the fault of all of you. That is not a defeat, James. I was not expelled, derided or cursed here... Let that be a relief to your disheartened spirits. I have already had today My most delicious food. And I bless God for it. And now let us go and see this other woman who believes and can wait with firm faith.»

Those who curse his people will be cursed and those who bless his people will be blessed. If we believe that Jesus is Lord and He can see into the future and know all things, it's not hard to see why He called people dogs nowadays.

Jesus' people are those who believe in him, regardless of whether Jews or Gentiles. In fact, the Jews who reject Christ and the Gospel are not his people. Concerning the Gentiles, God says in the prophecy of Hosea, “Those who were not my people, I will now call my people. And I will love those whom I did not love before.” Romans 9:25. Christians are already blessed by their faith in Jesus. Besides, God is not a respecter of persons. Stop inserting your own views into the bible and pretend that Gentiles are second-class people. Matthew 21:43 Having denounced the sin, Christ now enunciates the punishment thereof, in continuation of his parable. Because ye slay the Son, reject the Cornerstone, the vineyard, i.e. the kingdom of God, shall be taken from you. Ye shall no longer be God's peculiar people; your special privileges shall be taken away. It's obvious that you have your knowledge about Christianity from these TV preachers and mega-churches.

Listen man, a person with a will to know could look into Canaan and see the answers to this question. The answers however have some implications depending on who understands them. Firstly he called her a dog because it’s the symbol of Canaan. (See: Canaan Dog)
His behavior toward his is because of something we don’t see from Jesus any other time in the Bible; kinship. He tells the woman she doesn’t need his blessing, she already has it and to be home with her child. You see, jesus was a Canaanite. This is why he calls Jews, Jews. And doesn’t call people gentiles. They are just gods children, people, his people.
Knowledge plays a role. The son of man, is what Jesus claimed to be, it’s what he taught his followers. Why did he ask “what do you say I am”? Because in his mind he was just a messenger of the most high, elio(Canaanite: el of mine) as he said on the cross. The son of man isn’t a messiah, a king, he is an anointer, a cup of gods love. He is the product of mankind, a soul god keeps here all the time to gauge the progress of the human experience. He isn’t a judge, or a king, but a leader and a follower what we call Peer. What he wanted to hear was these people were listening to his actions when he said “who do you say I am”. His hope was they would “just as me”.
Nazarites we’re around before Hebrews…and it was documented. Jesus was titled “Nazarene” in life. The church said he was “of Nazareth” the error here is Nazareth was not a founded city until 300ad. Before this for over a thousand years Nazareth existed under many names, the word literally means “house of the eye”, the Nazarite those under the vow of the most high left a trinket where they travelled a Nazar 🧿. This symbol can be found in a time far older than any happenings of the Middle East, or most of the Egyptian histories. It is first recorded as a intact symbol in the caucus and Himalayas around 3000bc, before the time of King Gilgamesh, Numrod, or the Tower of Babel. The leader of this group, who is just a Nazarite himself, a peer, is called “Nazarene” which means “the upper eye” and would be seen as the high priest/king of the group of nomads that was Nazareth in biblical times. Melchizedek was one of these Nazarite, and Jesus was said to be the last high priest in order of Melchizedek. Melchizedek was also a Canaanite, not a Jew, and gave blessing to an Iraqi not a Hebrew.

After having been a cause of scandal in his homeland, in Nàzaret, and having received the announcement of the death of John the Baptist, Jesus had withdrawn on the boat, in a deserted place, on the sidelines: nevertheless a large crowd had followed him on foot, leaving the
city. Now, after having reproached Peter for doubting and having been a man of little faith, and having discussed with scribes and Pharisees about what causes uncleanness to men (Matthew 15: 1-20), he withdraws again, this time. in pagan land, in the area of Tire and Sidone: there too he is joined, not by an Israelite crowd, but by a pagan woman. The counterpoint, in truth, between Jesus' retreat and his attracting a multitude to himself in this way, is even stronger than the previous one: in fact, the woman is one, but she is the symbol of all the nations to which the gospel, to the ends of the earth (Acts 1,8).
The starting point, for the infidels, is the same as for the Israelites: their daughter is possessed by a demon. Common is the fatigue of living for all men, without distinction: being paralyzed by sin, slaves to one's vices, not being able to flourish. However, Jesus' reaction is very different: in Israel he never tires of teaching; here he instead he doesn't utter a word. In fact, in his short life, Jesus only addressed the Jews: it is the price of the incarnation, self-limitation of the One who is infinite in a defined point in time and space. Just as he was unable to make his earthly voice heard if not for a few years, so he was unable to push it except within a limited region.
Nonetheless, his Word has come down to us through the centuries: thanks to the testimony of his disciples, from generation to generation, in an unbroken chain (Luke 1,1-4; 1 John 1,1-3). The delimitation of his historical mission requires our involvement: we become missionaries together with him, children of the same Father. However, that woman already received the gift of healing her daughter directly from Jesus: how did she manage to force him, to anticipate her times? Jesus himself gives the answer: through the greatness of his faith. In women, faith is recognizing in herself her own need and indigence, and in Jesus the medicine capable of healing her, the bread capable of satisfying her (John 6:35). However, it is enough for her to collect a single crumb of the bread multiplied in the desert, a particle of the Eucharist: and then, as the desert was transformed into a garden (Matthew 14:19). The Son offered his body for everyone, so that each one, welcoming it, learns in turn to live as a son.

Simply put he's putting her second based on her race, that is pretty much the definition of racist. No, it was not about race, but about religion. The Canaanites had human sacrifices. From the context, it is clear, that Jesus was testing this Canaanite woman and taught the apostles a lesson. A little pet dog that belonged to the family is not comparable to a stray dog. Yes, Jesus was provocative here, but to illustrate things. However, he compared the Pharisees with snakes and called them worse names than a little pet dog.

@@carlomariaromano4320 What religion were the Canaanites, how did you come to the conclusion they had human sacrifices? To which deity and why? If you follow the Bible, the Jews also had human sacrifices, there was 3 we know of with Jesus. If it was about religion why not simply say her religion and not her race? They identified her religion based solely on her race, this is called racial profiling. If Jesus were the son of God he would have known this woman was a good person, so he tested her for nothing, made her admit she was inferior to teach the disciples a lesson.
Dog was a massive insult especially when compared to a human, whether a pet or a stray, its still disgusting to make such a comparison, to assume that someone is inferior because of their parents.
As for teaching the disciples a lesson, I think this is where I somewhat agree. But think of it like this, what if a doctor made someone admit they were like a dog before he helped them, based on their ethnicity and assumed religion and practices? You know it would be wrong, you wouldn't make excuses for this doctor, you wouldn't try and say "hes teaching the other doctors a lesson" would you? At the end of the day you can see that its racist, but because its Jesus you will make special excuses.
Did you know this is one of the two main parts of the Bible used by the Ku Klux Klan, to justify their racism? The first is they claim the mark of Cain is black skin, (Bible does not actually say what the mark is). They believe that the Greek/Phonetician woman had darker skin than the Israelites and Greek people did. The KKK will actually help another race if they admit they are inferior to them, just like Jesus did here.
I don't support racism period. I don't make special exceptions for anyone with racism.

Imagine a dog trying to find what its looking for. What it's desire is to find and yet He was so much more compared to a small dog. Also, dog is God spelled backwards.

Wrong, Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Now grace is given to all at the time salvation was of the Jews and Gentiles get blessings by blessing Israel for being Gods people. It was a dispensational matter, Jesus told them go not to the Gentiles. Now we can be saved by believing the gospel of the grace of God regardless of Jew or Gentiles 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

I love the Bible but I hate Christianity because of its plethora of false pagan doctrines. The Bible is a book, written by Israelites, for Israelites. Then people (gentiles) got the book, read it and started to insert themselves into the book and there’s where the confusion began.
Fine, let’s say Jesus was creating some metaphor which he is not, what do you say about the disciples who had the same mind? Was Jesus talking to them about this so called metaphor before the woman came up? If you say yes, show me the scripture that has this conversation? I bet you that you can’t because you don’t want to accept the truth.
The Bible is not an all inclusive book. Even in Deuteronomy God forbid a Canaanite to enter into the congregation and hated them and remember Esau’s wife was Canaanite and it displeased God and his father. The fact of the matter is, Jesus did not care for the Canaanite woman and neither did the 12 disciples and that’s why she was called a dog. She even acknowledged herself as a dog and because she did that and had faith that Christ would heal her daughter, Christ gave her a crumb. Her daughter could get sick the next day, he did accept her and her daughter.
Do you know that the Samaritan lady at the well was an Israelite? Do you know the difference between a Jew and an Israelite? All the real Jews are Israelite but not all Israelite are Jews. Samaria was the capitol of the northern kingdom which was scattered before Christ came and the Southern Kingdom (Judah, Benjamin, Levi) and they did not like each other. So that’s why she was surprised that Christ spoke to her. She realized that Christ was a Jew, perhaps by his attire maybe language. So how am I so sure that she was an Israelite?
    John 4:12
    King James Version
12 Art thou greater than OUR FATHER Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
She acknowledged Jacob as her forefather. I say that to say, some of the people who you may think are of other nations are actually Israelite! Paul was an Israelite and a Roman. So when you see Paul writhing to the Romans, it wasn’t everybody in Rome, it was to the Roman Israelites (Northern Kingdom) scattered who were referred to as Gentiles because they adopted the ways of their captors. The book of Maccabees explain all of this.
So then you see a Christian take up the book and see that there are no Jew nor Greek, not knowing its a reference to the Southern Kingdom (Judah) and the Northern Kingdom and that the Northern Kingdom was forced to adopt the customs and identity of the Greek whilst in slavery, the use it to say that Greek means every other gentile and that Israel is done away with.
That’s the problem when you read a book that is not yours and wasn’t meant to be taught by you! You insert yourself and start lying on the scriptures just like this guy is doing because he can’t phantom that the image of Christ they painted is a wrong one.
CHRIST SAID OUT OF HIS OWN MOUTH THAT HE WAS ONLY SENT UNTO THE LOST TRIBE OF ISRAEL BUT PEOPLE DONT WANT TO ACCEPT IT.
The sooner you accept it and find out who the real children of Israel are and cling to them, the sooner you get on your path to being saved. If you don’t know who the real people are and you hate them, you are as good as dead! You can’t love God and hate his people.
Edit: Believe it or not, there’s only one group of people who were sent to the four corners of the earth as slaves for over 400 years and people hate to this day with no logical reasoning behind it. I’m not going to mention who they are, you know who they are, but the spirit that is upon you don’t want you to say it. All of this has been spoken of by the prophets. So keep believing the imposters and pretty soon you will say these very words.
    Jeremiah 16:19
    King James Version
19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

GOD has every right to call everyone dogs, he even called Israelite priestly class as brood of vipers. But He forgave them all. Beggars are not choosers. He tested her faith. God looks at our heart and not flesh/race. Maybe he was breaking the norms of racism, when you break a house its dust also falls on you too, you can't escape it. When you try to clean a house, it is obvious you will also get little dirty. When you preach someone from another language, you first learn their language & beliefs and then change it. Isn't it? There were (and still are) different versions of "gods" which belonged to different groups and races, He was trying to break that norm.

That Canaanite Woman was a Phoenician, as said in Matthew 7:26, and Jesus stating that he was sent not, but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, that is what she was.
Phoenicians are from the Hebrew Tribe of Asher, who mixed with the Northern Canaanite Tribes, and follow Canaanite Polytheism, because of their Hebrew mixed Canaanite Heritage.
This Phoenician Woman was a lost tribe of Israel, cause she is descended from Asher, one of the 12 sons of Jacob/Israel.
Jesus was never talking about these evil spawns from Judah, when saying that he came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

I think he was bantering with her. He was a real human being, 100% man, while also 100% God, so he had a sense of humor as well as all the other emotions. He had fierce anger such as when He chased the money changers et al out of the Temple grounds. (incidentally, this is the start of the "International Whip a Banker Day") He cried when His good buddy Lazarus died. He hid Himself at times.
So, He had the full range of emotions just like any other healthy human being. The way I see it He was teasing the woman, her reply brought her a reward. She had a wry sense of humor as did Jesus.
He called her a dog and she claimed to be a puppy. How can you kick a puppy? No, you would give a puppy, even a wild puppy, food. Jesus had heart!
Here, the story of the gentile woman not only proves Jesus’ mercy and his power to cure a child from a distance, but it also builds up suspense in a series of ten passages that refer to food, with a minor theme of not understanding:
Jesus and the disciples had no leisure so much as to eat , so they went into a desert place (6:31-32)
      Feeding the 5000 (6:33-44)

      Feeding the 4000 (8:1-9)
Disciples are hungry and have only one loaf of bread (8:13-14)
Jesus warns the disciples about the leaven of the Pharisees and they reason, "It is because we have no bread," showing they do not understand (8:15-17)
Summary by Jesus of the two feasts (8:18-21)
Also During that time period dogs was just another name for a Gentile. A non-Jewish person.
Also No one called the Romans dogs. It was basically just the Gentiles. Jesus says to the listening crowd, that he had never seen such faith in all of Israel, meaning that this gentile had more belief than any of the jews establishment.. See, Jesus knew the woman would remain faithful, and he knew that among his disciples, some were offended at a Gentile woman asking food from him. Because many of Jesus followers were Jewish supremacists. So he teached them this lesson, that his teachings and charities were for everybody, be them Gentiles or Jews. And eventually all his disciples understood that

That's the biggest "crock of bull" I've ever heard.
Jesus was a Jew, therefore, he followed the doctrine of the Jews...............that is, Jews are God's "chosen people". Everybody else was INFERIOR.
That's right Jesus was RACIST...................I repeat: RACIST........the disciples were just as RACIST. They kept telling Jesus "Send her away. She's not one of us (Jews)".
Apologists like the guy who made this video will always find "ways around it" to fit their narrative.
Of course, those who don't open their mind will just lower their eyes and continue their "belief".
This guy says "At this time in Jesus life" he's there for the Jews not for the "low lifes"(the Gentiles).
In fact, even to this day, Jews continue their belief of SUPERIORITY.........look at what they're doing to the Palestinians.
In fact, their doctrine says that Gentiles will be slaves to the Jews. Google it. I believe it's in the Talmud/Torah.

study the blessings & curses of Moses, the prophecy of Daniel, etc so you can understand that Jesus isn't just some Jew...how can you say He followed their doctrine when He attacked their doctrine.... and was thrown out by his own people or even crucified.

Their god?! God is One. He's common to all the world and is above all His creation inspite of how men with their limited knowledge attempt to comprehend Him and derive conclusions. Absolute truth isn't denied or nullified by perspectives that lack wholesome understanding that's obtained by consideration of well-known and accepted facts that reflect reality. God reveals Himself to those who need Him and no science that doesn't see things as they are with a wide vision can comprehend Him!!! He's too marvellous for the natural human mind, unless it's divinely touched to know/understand Him.
P.S.: Jesus never had the habit of insulting. He didn't insult even those who abused Him though He showed His fierceness whole confronting the hyprocrites who knew the truth and yet didn't take it as anything serious, rejecting God's goodness, perfection, love and justice by their actions. Jesus is known for His meekness. He's the perfect reflection of God and anything contrary indicates that it's far from truth.
