Daydreg Lol, why you gotta lie? We both know that things don’t always get better when you’re older. There’s a reason why suicide rates are at the highest they’ve been in 28 years for adults and that’s because life is never gets better. It’s the human condition and you know what? Life will beat you down to a pulp if you let it. That’s why you gotta stand by your two feet and push through a wall when you hit it. Doesn’t mean that there won’t be more walls after but sometimes life lets up a bit. That’s what makes life awesome. It’s the tragedy of living but the purest of gifts.
That's one of the unique charms of Regina. Many of her songs are written in the "voice" of an old man. Get an old male folk singer to sing "Sailor Song", "Us", "Ode to Divorce", "Après Moi", and few would notice a 20-25 year old short adorable woman wrote it.

This is a cover, the original is by Regina Spektor! The season finale was already making me bawl but adding this amazing cover made me SOB! What an amazing second season. They really do it right with this show!
Agree. What a touching last episode. Adam's storyline broke my heart. He was so tormented and lost, but seeing his parents fall apart made him realize what he was missing.
Hey, you may have found out in the time since you posted, but Regina Spektor wrote this over ten years ago. Her version is more pop and less lofi, but I think it carries the same, if not more emotion. The strings in this are a bit much... a little overly sentimental. I think it's more melancholy in Spektor's version.

Indubitably one of the best Netflix shows, if not one of the greatest TV shows of all time. Easily memorable. Simple yet complex. Seamless in creating a compelling narrative for EVERY character and having it fit with the story to near perfection. No show, NO show can execute the amount of profound character developments this show brings this well. Some characters don't change at all, but care is still poured into them in order to be consistent and create a larger effect on the audience. I was especially surprised by Remi as a character in season 2, who struggles to change yet his consistent narrative is one you could appreciate. Overall, you can immediately appreciate the amount of heart and effort that when in this ambitious endeavor. It's monumental to see the number of characters, major and minor alike, grow in a SINGLE, eight episode show. It's unlike I've ever seen in TV at all. Nearly flawless. Although I'm barely a TV enthusiast or expert, it'll be difficult to find another piece of medium that resonates so distinctly with me. I feel like I could ramble on and on about the characters and how every scene they're in conveys a new aspect about their arc.
Usually it's easy to find comments like yours on things that are popular, and usually they irritate me, as they're usually done from an inexperienced perspective... But I just have to agree with what you wrote. Very small amount of time and such big development. Not just that, but they went out of their way to make songs just for the series and remade songs to fit better. They put a lot of effort in, and it does show. Above all else, I think it's a show that absolutely everybody, from 15 to 60, could still enjoy. It gives everybody a 'relate-able' character, and not one that is unrealistic or dramatised, they are all very real, very relate-able, and executed perfectly. Loved it.

br_ed137 Whoa! I honestly can see it. I mean they love each other. There’s not much more you can do after that. This honestly felt like a perfect finale.
Good lord!! This should have way more views.... Chip Taylor....sir....please don't ever stop....I just heard your song thank you for the offer You are blessed and God sent!! ♡♡♡
i will never forget when this song played right at the end of SE.. maeve's storyline meant so much to me as i had gone through such a similar deeply traumatic experience only a month prior, i cried so much and this song was like therapy to me. and when i later experienced my first heartbreak that year, i always came back to this. listening to it now it takes me straight back to those feelings - a warm, bittersweet nostalgia.
I binged watch the show... AMAZING! I then heard the song and had to download Shazam to find out the name. I listened to it twice and I got on my knees and I prayed... and I cried... I thought of all my brothers that have took their lives...anyway... I needed to express that emotion... thanks
Oh how I cried. How beautiful. I am dying, life is going that way but this song, these words this voice so deep so strong so true has me crying tears full of joy of sorrow of life well lived. I did it I lived this life. Thank you.
Its a weird feeling listening to this for the first time it made me really feel sad but really amazed at the same time his tone and the way he whispers the song is powerful and the lyrics are incredible
"While we were on our knees, praying that disease Will leave the ones we love and never come again!" I want to stop relating to these lines...yet life goes on.
"You're young until you're not You love until you don't You try until you can't" This part makes me feel emotion I've never felt before. I feel so heartbroken over my life being over yet I'm in the beginning, the pain of change, the pain of remembering things they once were but now they're not... so so heartbroken. Is this how aging really feels like?
All the music of Sex education is amazing, like I kind a weirdly wait to end the episode and find another good song. Guess only season of which I have seen the end credits. For sure a song wizard who chooses these songs ♥️
"it's you Maeve.. It has always been you" i love you .. It has been a great 2 season.. Great song to end the season.. And i can't wait for season 3 .. Love the show ♥♥
I cried so HARDDD... I can't even.. This season made me sob multiple times, I don't remember the last time any tv series or movie doing that to me... Just hope that there will be a season 3!
God, this goes so incredibly with the feeling the events of the season's end leaves you with... Excellently executed. Truly incredible... What a masterpiece of a show. I'm so deeply impressed with how precisely it hits the mark with appreciating the full human experience. It doesn't shy away from the shit... And we need more stories like that. Raw, open examples of things that happen on a daily basis, that affect everyone so deeply, without sugarcoating or dimming anything down. Humanity is unbelievable pain and exquisite elation, and this show does nothing if not perfectly display that depth while acknowledging surface-level interactions as people go about their lives, hiding. It takes itself exactly as seriously as it should.
I was holding my tears till i heard the words of the song..... It made me cry.....then i immediately searched this song...... And listen this till i slept.
Such perfect lines to describe life!! I feel like i got a bit more wiser with just those lines. "This is how it works You're young until you're not You love until you don't You try until you can't You laugh until you cry You cry until you laugh And everyone must breathe Until their dying breath."
Chip Taylor to Regina Spektor is the same as Johnny Cash to Nine Inch Nails. The original is amazing, but somehow they manage to make it even better and make you cry your eyes out.

Until their dying breath

You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again
And on the radio
You hear November Rain
That solo's awful long

And all the styrofoam
Began to melt away
And we tried to find some worms
To aid in the decay
But none of them were home
Inside their catacomb
A million ancient bees
Began to sting our knees
While we were on our knees
Praying that disease
Would leave the ones we love
And never come again
And on the radio
We heard "November Rain"
That solo's really long
But it's a pretty song
We listened to it twice
'Cause the DJ was asleep
He was asleep
No, this is how it works
You're young until you're not
And you love until you don't
And you try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
And you cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
Then you take that love you made
And you stick it into
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope that don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again
And on the radio
We hear "November Rain"
And that solo's awfully long
But it is a good refrain
We listen to it twice
'Cause the DJ is asleep
He is asleep
On the radio
The DJ is asleep
He is asleep

Just finished binging the 2 seasons of Sex Education and end up being here...
@@VanHoang-fb7md bro, me too 😭. U are a true legend and I love u ❤️
I just finished season 2
I came here to cry every Friday night
il ove u~
"While we were on our knees
Praying the disease
Would leave the ones we love
And never come again"...
This is where my eyes began to sweat.
Me tooo💔💔💔🙁
All the feels. All the tears. All that could've been. All that still could be.
Sex Education is a masterpiece and I cry every episode.
'I was so caught up in trying to do the right thing, I lost track of what that actually is..
It's You, it's always been You!'
Best Lines from the whole of season 2.. just epic! ❤️
season 1 was in 2019, and now after 4 years this is end, sad but there is nothing we can do about.
Aside from rewatching 😅
Still gives me chill remembering that ending of SE 2 with this song. Ahhh omg.. still hits hard this cover..
I think that:
1) 1st season is the fundament of the story
2) 2nd season a crescendo
3) 3rd season will be a climax
br_ed137 Whoa! I honestly can see it. I mean they love each other. There’s not much more you can do after that. This honestly felt like a perfect finale.
Bro they are looking for season 4 too☹
Don't think so dude
Good lord!!
This should have way more views.... Chip Taylor....sir....please don't ever stop....I just heard your song thank you for the offer
You are blessed and God sent!!
♡♡♡
This song sums up human essence in its purest form
I LOVE the original by Regina Spektor, never thought I'd hear a cover like that but WOW that's so beautiful thank you!
i will never forget when this song played right at the end of SE.. maeve's storyline meant so much to me as i had gone through such a similar deeply traumatic experience only a month prior, i cried so much and this song was like therapy to me. and when i later experienced my first heartbreak that year, i always came back to this. listening to it now it takes me straight back to those feelings - a warm, bittersweet nostalgia.
This remind me to Otis and Maeve ☹️☹️🥺🥺they will never be together :(
Until season 3 🥺
you dont say
1 year later...
Until season 4
i need season 3 :c
Add spoiler alert please :)
kinda shipping Otis and Ruby tbh. Maeve's overrated
“Then You take that love you made and you stick it in to someone else’s heart pumping someone else’s blood” 🥀💔
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again 🌷
As soon as I heard this song in Sex Education, I immediately fell in love with it 💖💖
First Maeve, Now Otis
C'mon man don't make me wait 1 year.😣
That confession to this music was so fucking amazing.
Big ups to Eric and Adam.
Thank you.
I watched this vid 4 years ago after ending season 1 and here I am again.
Its a weird feeling listening to this for the first time it made me really feel sad but really amazed at the same time his tone and the way he whispers the song is powerful and the lyrics are incredible
"While we were on our knees, praying that disease
Will leave the ones we love and never come again!"
I want to stop relating to these lines...yet life goes on.
A perfect intersection of happy and sad. This version slays me.
I wasn’t expected the end!! It’s very sad 😔 i wish meave and otis be together:)
"You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't"
This part makes me feel emotion I've never felt before. I feel so heartbroken over my life being over yet I'm in the beginning, the pain of change, the pain of remembering things they once were but now they're not... so so heartbroken. Is this how aging really feels like?
I feel for you, it's really pretty hard with me also
It really is hard. Growing up sucks but i hope you know you're not alone ♥️🥺
Literally This Song... Made Me Cry. #LiveOnLove
All the music of Sex education is amazing, like I kind a weirdly wait to end the episode and find another good song. Guess only season of which I have seen the end credits.
For sure a song wizard who chooses these songs ♥️
Who else is here after having their heart shattered by Sex Education?
🙂
ME ME ME ME . It never felt so good to get one's heart broken. Yet it has never hurt more.
I feel ya mate😢
Yesss😭
I swear i hate bloody isaac wheelchair or not
Of you listen carefully, the silence is beautiful.
aga bunlar ne zaman kavuşacak
Especially in this season, I think the music was incredibly good, it brought so much emotions with it... The ending was just heartbreaking for me😭
"It's you,
It's always been you.
I love you, Maeve."
I listen to this song when I need to calm down every time I feel stressed and anxious. Such a beautiful song!
What a fitting ending with such a soulful voice singing this amazing song on Sex Education
"it's you Maeve.. It has always been you" i love you ..
It has been a great 2 season.. Great song to end the season.. And i can't wait for season 3 .. Love the show ♥♥
I hate sex education for messing with my emotions so much. Just as in season 1, first you laugh and at the very end you cry.
Makes me cry, it is so beautifull!
Seriously misunderstood series in my country........i really love this masterpiece
I cried so HARDDD... I can't even..
This season made me sob multiple times, I don't remember the last time any tv series or movie doing that to me...
Just hope that there will be a season 3!
This moves the deepest parts of my soul.. amazing.
Wow now I cry hearing this song again after just finishing the last episode!
I love it when the melody just drops 3:32❤️
Needs instrumental verse
Just finished Sex Education, was a really nice surprise to hear this song at the end because i've loved Regina Spektor for years.
This fucking series made me cry so much
I almost cried when I was hearing this song on the last episode. I hope a new season is coming soon. There's still good music around in this world.
Thank you for this pearl, Sir. Greetings from a Saturday evening in Italy.
What an amazing song, fit to finish season 2 of sex Ed of one of the best series out there
I just finished watching SE season2.. and the last scene and the song were so sad and it makes me cry..😭 I cant wait season3!!
After listening this..
I just wanna rewatch
WHAT A SONG! So moving, I'm in a place of complete contentment listening to it. Thank you sir!!!
Ahh!!! That second verse just wrecks me😭....so glad to find this version due to sex education season finale!!
I was holding my tears till i heard the words of the song..... It made me cry.....then i immediately searched this song...... And listen this till i slept.
that ending...
Make me cry
Otis and maeve pls :´(
Such perfect lines to describe life!! I feel like i got a bit more wiser with just those lines.
"This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath."
The BEST cover to Regina Specktor's song!!
I'm absolutely in love!! 😍
Can't believe I miss him again after watching this bloody good show. :')
I love this song but listening to it just makes me sad because of how season 2 ended 😭😭😭 also @ 2:00 is the part where it plays at the end of season 2
Dammit it’s such a good show. That ending along with this song made me feel so many emotions. It’s wonderful.
Perfect song and fitting for the final episode. Fingers crossed for season 3.
I don't know why I cry everytime I hear this song..
A great thank you to Sex Education, who let me to discover this powerful song
This song is so beautiful it makes me cry🥲
Love Regina spektor, love this version too! Made me second guess if Regina's version was a cover lol
Chip Taylor to Regina Spektor is the same as Johnny Cash to Nine Inch Nails. The original is amazing, but somehow they manage to make it even better and make you cry your eyes out.
oml i’ve been looking for this cover for ages
