Norfolk & Western 475: West Bound to Strasburg (7-9-23)

On Sunday, July 9th, 2023 the Strasburg Railroad fired up their former Norfolk And Western locomotive 475 to take over the excursion trains for 89 which was due for her 92 day inspection.
475 is a M class 4-8-0 “Mastodon” Locomotive built in 1906 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia. She hauled freight and coal loads on the N&W as well as branch line duty until retiring in 1958. She was eventually purchased by the Strasburg Railroad for restoration in 1991 where she resides today.
