    How very interesting. You can clearly tell it's Greek by the way it sounds but it's still so different. My Greek isn't exactly the best but I can barely understand anything in this video.

    I grew up with Homeric & Attic Greek, at home with evil mother &, later, in school. Knowing Greek & Latin, Italian & French helped me appreciate Russian & Portoguês. Japanese is totally different from Greek, German & Latin. I didn't know this Spartan language until I bumped into this gorgeous bundle yesterday. Thanks across the languages & dialects.

      Visit Tsakonia, and ask around in Tyros, if you don't stay there though you won't have anyone to speak it with..and even in Tsakonia it's mostly spoken by elders nowadays.

    I have a question, what is the plural genitive case in Tsakonian, how should it be expressed?

    • @anglotsakonas6711
      @anglotsakonas6711  Рік тому +3

      The genitive plural isn't generally used in Tsakonian, apart from in fixed expressions like 'ριουφάλι δυ ναμερού' ='a kid (young goat) of 2 days' ie a kid which is 2 days old.
