Thank you Adam for the updates about life in Ormoc City. I used to frequent that beautiful place sin 2001 until 2013 and that place is really great very peaceful, you can have lots of places to go especially the beaches and mountain trekkings.
I had lunch there once, which resulted in a funny annecdote in one of my videos. Btw, guys, I published the final episode of "Ormoc Revisited" today. I've been back in Belgium for less than 5 months and I already miss the place! I hope your boat trip will be smoother than mine. I really had two terrible crossings on the Supercat last February. I wonder if I would have less turbulence on the big boat. Enjoy Bohol and don't forget to go on the Loboc River Cruise. That was the favourite part of my visit to Bohol 15 years ago. Take care!

I hailed from the far north in the big island. No dice of me riding a ferry there. 80 cents per rice kilo and $4 per 30 eggs is less than 2x Walmart price. Could be temporary inflation. Tender red bananacue is a juicy snack.
Thank you my friend. We hope inflation does subside a bit everywhere. Ferries for Ormoc to Cebu is common with so many leaving on Monday for work and returning later in the week 😊
@Adam, when you first move here, did you get sick when you swam on beach or a natural spring fed pool? Just curious if I am ever going to acclimate. I get a cold/bacteria infection every time I swim.
I never did my friend. I found the water here far cleaner and fresher than beaches in the UK. As the water is warmer there are more corals cleaning it 😊
@@AdamandJanesLifestyle We stayed with mom and papa to save money at first. It's not all that clean here deeper in the province as it is up north toward the cities. However, I figured if it wasn't killing them it wasn't going to kill me, so I just jump on in. Lots and lots of trash washes up from everywhere. I even find trash from airlines. Chinese and Indonesian markings. She will not let me swim at the beach anymore due to hacking up stuff the next few days. I really want too.

Be there in Ormoc my home town in Three months. I see a lot of improvement since the last time we we’re there 2014.. Ps the grilled banana we don’t call it dangdang Q it’s either ginangay, ginanggang.Never heared it dangdang Q .your wife might forgot the bisayan word for it thats she made it up dangdang Q. If your wife is from Ormoc then its ginangay or nilangkay, ginanggang. We used to sale those bananas by the way fried or grilled.
We love Ormoc. It’s a beautiful place. Dang dang Que is very commonly used here in Ormoc and all throughout Leyte. The word dang dang means to broil, broiling or grill. God bless you my friend 😊
I can’t speak for everywhere my friend but in Ormoc there are rubbish collection points where you can dispose of. You’d need to drive it to the end of the road but we find it convenient as we can dispose when we want to stop rats by bins 😊
