I have been using a Comet pump for the last 12 years. It is still functioning like new. I only replace a diaphragm once in a while. I am buying another Comet this week.
Know where to fill oil on a p48?
How do you remove oil cap on aps96, turns back and forth can't remove, been sitting for 6 years, want to start using it, thanks.
What do you use to clean inside the water passages? We have some build up in them. Aps141 Used in fruit orchards.

How can I remove the pump from the motor?
Hello Carlos. The pump is secured by 4 bolts from the gearbox to the motor. Those 4 bolts need to be removed to disassemble the pump from the motor. If it still doesn’t come off the motors shaft it may take some prying but will need to be careful to not crack the housing. We have in the past also used a torch to heat up the female part of the shaft to get the pump to release. There is lack of technical advisor to take proper maintenance of pump. Spare not getting easily. And it's to costly.
Funny how the video skips the actual removal of the valve plug, which is an enormous pain in the ass on older pumps.
