"Cherry" Lyrics:
Whoa Whoa
Cherry
Sittin’ in the corner graceful as the Virgin Mary
You’re a halo in a smokey room
Halo in a smokey room
Glowing smokey bedroom room
Whoa Whoa
Cherry
I can be your author you can be my sanctuary
Why don’t you gaze into my eyes a while
Gaze into my eyes a while
Give me a Lolita smile
Ever since the dawn of creation
And ever since the dawn of time
This way it’s always been
With it’s own reason and rhyme
Ever since the dawn of creation
And ever since the dawn of time
The Man has got to have the Woman
Where’s the crime, where’s the crime, where’s the crime?
Well, I’m no Margaret Mead
But I’ve got a bead on your cultural need
Oh Cherry, oh Cherry
You need a lover not a backseat steed
Cherry
Sittin’ on a pillow
Singing like a crazed canary
Promise that your love is true
Promise that your love is true
That may only mean a month or two

B.O.C.. is such a versatile Rock band. The are one of the all time greats for sure. 🎸🎸🤘👍!
A song proving how eclectic BOC have been are still are. A classic r’n’r with a Status Quo vibe and tongue-in-cheek lyrics…. So BOC! Long live this supreme band!
Come on! Are you serious? Status Quo is way way heavier ! And this track comes from some Beatles tribute band. It’s shit and not BOC trademark sound.
Obviously, they're serious, just as you are of your unintelligent opinion of the song.
@@scottcauley6862 answering for someone else - is a sign of your bad manners. You’re pig ignorant and ignorant pig. My opinion is intelligent and you’re aggressive and silly. If you like this shit, you know nothing about HARD ROCK OF BLUE OYSTER CULT. Keep praising this Beatles tribute garbage. I pity you.

Maybe My favorite song of the year!! I love that 60's vibe, great for BÖC keep rockin'🤘🏻🎸😎🤘🏻
They're always having their fun. "R U Ready To Rock" anyone ? They're reeling in the decades also. '50s, '60s or whatever. They never fail to amaze me. Here they do their Status Quo thing. They do the Dictators thing too and so on with numerous other things... Cool song as summertime is near. BÖC for ever !
This is a super tongue-in-cheek song, something BÖC has always great at. They know what they’re doing. These are trained professionals. Do not try this at home. 😂
I like the early 60's vibe.
Playing the music they knew
Another really good song, thanks BOC!
Just got my CD yesterday-LOVE IT❤❤
Such a good tune! I love it!❤
I love this song. Keep it up boys! ❤🍒
Went old school, love it
Bucks quick solo rips here. Sounds almost like something that wouldve been on his solo album!
Both of his tunes on this album do! I love it
It’s different but
It Rocks
Good tune, works for me.
Oh yeah Rock and Roll !
LOL love the horse!
That's what got Shawn and I rolling too, Al!
Tootin’ !!
Apparently a lot of folks have never listened to Buck’s other stuff. If you don’t like it, skip it! BOC can handle it!🙏🏻
Like it, great rockin' tune!
So many haters with bad taste. Keep on rockin BOC 🤘
Dig it!
It gave me that feeling.
This reminds me of early era Beatles!
So... who wrote it? The cool thing about classic period BOC is that everyone could and did write songs. Sounds like a Buck Dharma tune.
Strong quo vibe on this one
Was this video made in 2008 on a second generation Mac Book? Holy shit. I’d say maybe $500 went into making this.
Uh..I could do without this one..always been a big boc fan. Ill check the rest of these
Totally agree. It sounds like it's something from the 50s or 60s.
@@kengray8831 *Like something out of the 90s trying to imitate the 50s or 60s.
It's terrible, hopefully the rest of the album is better.
I love this song! A real Rock n roller
@@zodiac6968Thankfully the rest really *was* better. Gun and Shot in the dark are highlights
Great addition, they have the most diverse catalog!
LOVE B O C, HOPE THIS WONT BE IN LIVE SHOW SETLISTS. SORRY BUCK AND ERIC.
That's 70's
"Going through pubescent bloom." I shall never look at Eric the same way again. 🤣
At 0:45 does anyone elese hear You Make My Dreams by Hall and Oates?
I was thinking more of a revolution by night reject but I like it nevertheless LOL
Well, it isn't exactly Astronomy, at least is fun, but if I would buy this album, I'd better choose a CD so I could skip things like this, I don't feel at all as thrilled as when the last album came out, I ordered the LPs right away in advance, this time I'll wait some months before I decide if it's worth it to expend some money on this new one!
Well they did say they were doing unrecorded stuff lol
Mmmkay
If the truth be known, the author of “Lolita,” began the book in a rented house across the street from where I grew up. He was a literature professor at the time. While the subject matter is uncomfortable, it became a famous novel of the 1950s. I saw the movie on TV years later, put down some lyrics and Mr. Dharma did his usual magic. I wonder why so many female school teachers are being caught over the last few years in compromising circumstances with their students? I guess that’s the downside of equality.
WHAT? BOC ?
Well...that was unsettling.
Cool Beatles song.
I like it. Lyrics are great
A bit pedestrian for BÖC standards. They could have sold this to Status Quo.
No. Saying this you disrespect Status Quo, as their music is much more, way-way heavier and interesting than this Beatles tribute shit.
@@VictorMelnikoff Status Quo were VERY good in their psychedelic period.
This sounds like something that wasn't good enough for Mirrors. It's inoffensive, but not very good.
I find it offensive in the words pubecent and lolita both give bad images
It's ok, sounds like an out-take from Mirrors...
Yip sure does
Should have put this cut on agents of founture PS legalized mushrooms
Blue more like Boo Oyster Cult
This is sounds more like the longshoots (what is greenday in reality)
That's not the Blue oyster cult I grew up with.
Sounds like it would fit in on Mirrors
Yeah, this album just came out, but evidently it was recorded between '78 and '82...
Well it's the early 70s again, not that I was there first time but damn 🤣🤣
Always did love that era of music but lyrics were always awful 😂😂😂😂
doesn't sound like BOC to me
Not to me either until mid way through. It’s terrible. This one would have been better left in the offcuts vault.
It’s fun
It's not
Cool 60’s vibe song but that’s not BOC to me.
Uh.... that's kinda disturbing.
Quite
Jailbait songs are not very pc now but the music sounds to much like left over mirrors era, not a good boc era
I agree its offensive
Jailbait? Just sounds like a typical teenage kicks song (truthful too)
Now that I know that you're offended, I'll never listen to it again. That is just how much your delicate sensibilities matter to me.
I love Blue Öyster Cult, but this song is horrible.
It is terrible
@@RemodelingByRyis this Beatles (and I hate Beatles for light and weak music) tribute band? Very disappointed! I disliked this video.
Which is why it never made it on any of their albums
God awful, bordering on serious pedo territory. Wtf were they thinking. This is the problem... they're really kind of lost without Sandy Pearlman and Albert Bouchard.
Worse than this is “Mommy” a bonus track on Secret Treaties
Damn, such negativity. B.O.C. Forever!!!!!!
This is feel good music 🤡🤡🤡
Super catchy, but the lyrics are awful. You need a lover not a backseat steed. Uggggg.
It reminds me of how Eric Bloom got ahold of the song that would go on to become "Lips in the Hills". Buck's original lyrics went something like, "All I want to do is hug and kiss you, hug and kiss you." Bloom and Meltzer turned it into "I am gripped, by what, I cannot tell." This song never went through that same transformation. 😅
Didnt need to say pubecent or lolita... Kinda makes me cringe because of those 2 words .. come on guys... Just dont push that imagery
But those are proper words used here correctly and in context?
How’s that a problem?
Because people are weak now.
No thanks!
This sucks dong.
As Beavis and Butt-head would say what the hell is this crap
Shite
LAME .......
Is this Beatles tribute band? Very disappointed!!! DISLIKE!!!!
Oh no! Anyway... Back to the great song.
