Most of the AI tools, I check them out once and never use them again! 😄Although I see Al created content everywhere now. So it has already become a part of our lives. and glad we won the match.⚽

Thank YOU! As for AI, I think you should give it a try since it can automise so many tasks🙈
Have a good night as well❤️

I don't use AI. It's just a collection of words based on interrogation of Large Language Models (LLM). There's no originality.
Plus, anything you use it for will be being recorded somewhere. This could be used against you in future. Imagine the amount of personal information a criminal could get about you if they could hack one of those systems.

In my mind, it makes sense to use AI for automatic, mundane tasks, that don’t require much creativity because you then have more time to do things that actually matter, that make more impact, and allow you to express yourself. As for online security, you have a very valid point which definitely should be the focus of more IT specialist nowadays. I don’t think it is relevant for everyone, but even if you don’t use AI here most of the information about you is online like your medical records, your passport data, banking information, etc. It is heavily protected, but if a genius criminal wanted to get to it, they probably could anyway

@@mariaaalexandrovna For example, imagine that you used AI for preparation of teaching materials. If that were to be found out, your employer could argue that students could learn directly from AI without the cost of employing a teacher.
Just because something is mundane to you, doesn't mean it doesn't have a monetary value which could be exploited.

As far as me using Al for developing teaching materials, I have to note that I use mine to create tasks that are used “form” student’s lexical or grammatical skills (I need to be very careful with the terminology here, in Russian there are two different words for main types of skills - there are “automatic skills” aka smth that students’ brain learn to do automatically/subconsciously, and actual communicative skills that require people to think and make conscious decisions). AI is great at designing drilling tasks (for example, fill in the gaps) that form the so called “automatic skills”. Obviously, teachers can come up with their own drilling exercises but, honestly, they will just be wasting their time because there will be no difference in the quality, and they won’t be paid for it.
While drilling exercises are great for “habit” formation, they don’t have a communicative aim, which is essential for developing communicative skills, and this should be the focus of every educator. If teachers can spend more time on designing meaningful communicative activities that encourage students to express themselves, it’s better for everyone, even the employer. In fact, there are hundreds of teacher conferences every year which are dedicated to AI usage in education. Using AI as a tool for optimizing your work is strongly encouraged.
As for AI replacing teachers: every educational standard in Russia outlines 3 groups of objectives for teaching any subject/discipline. The first and the MAIN aim of any teacher is personal development of their students, in the second place is the development of their meta skills, and only in the third place is the development the skills related to the subject that you’re teaching. AI can be a tool that you use to design simple exercises that will help you with the 3rd objective, but it won’t help you with the two main ones which is why teachers are not going to be replaced by AI in the foreseeable future here.

My first response was the same as in this comment, but I’ve just read your last reply and it actually makes sense to me. I didn’t get the stuff about the skills, but I don’t think I need to since I’m not a teacher. It was interesting to learn more about the standards and goals
