How about those titles for the design books? These videos have been great. Really helped me thru these times
Carrol Smith is where I started my journey. These books are older and don't cover modern road race technology but they are where many current engineers started.
Are you going to make a Fox IQS setup for the new 2020 Polaris General XP 1000.
@Shock Therapy LLC through my question with line of force, what I was meaning to ask is that in a trailing arm you have a very obvious pivot point that the tractive moment reaction rotates about and and the line of force changes around. For a dual a arm the moment is constrained by the 4 a arm bushes/spherical joints on the chassis setting the geometry and the 2 point on the hub in the yxz that are constraining rotation. How do you look at the change in line of force in that system? The book resources you mentioned would be helpful. I have struggled to find a decent engineering book on suspension designs, most helpful things I’ve seen have been Baja SAE papers and formula SAE papers. Thanks for taking my question!

I have read it and it does predominently cover road racing setup, but there is an offroad section and it covers literally every type of suspension.
I have not read this one yet, but I have a copy of it that a friend who owns a couple of Herb Adams Chassis loaned me. It is supposed to be excellent as well, I am not sure how much it covers suspension design it may be mostly chassis design.

Can Justin talk more on the a/c he's putting in his polaris. Who makes it and how it works and connects i have a pro xp and I'd like to do this as well i just can't find any info thanks
It is very complicated and currently possible fir the non turbo XP engine. It’s about 100 small parts from a Ranger AC kit we are making work. Polaris has a side cover fir the xp engine that replaces the stator with a belt driven alternator and ac pump. We got the condenser and vents and sensors from that kit and made the rest ourselves. Not easy and at least 7 pages of micro fish parts to get this together.

I have a base 2019 120hp x3 i wanna upgrade the suspension and im torn between xds shocks with ST RIS and iQs. Whats your opinion on which way i should go. And what can you do with the WE Velocity shocks? Are the WE worth the extra cash?
Your stock shocks with our work rides the best of those options you mentioned
I have the same 120hp machine and upgraded my stock shocks with their spring kit. HUGE difference. I ride alot of woods and rough trails.
Do you set up suspension for short course/Mx for my Xp turbo?
We have a baseline set up for you but we don’t go to the track and tune on site
What’s the best 32” DOT tire for can am x3 max?
I don’t like any of the DOT tires. Around here no cops care about the DOT tag. So we use anything
