Guys, you NEED to watch this film The film is an experiment, Paramount seeing the financial bomb will look at it like "oh people must not be watching it because they don't like this so let's never do this again" We NEED to secure a sequel, we NEED them to see that this is peak, that this is what we've wanted all along or else we may never get another transformers film ever again, let alone Transformers Two Even if you've already seen it, see it again.
It's just annoying because there's no way the budget needed to be 70 million. Between that and the poor marketing, it might be too late for there to be any hope of a sequel

I just happened to that guy on Twitter (we all know who he is) advertising the movie and my friwnd had just finished his midterm so I said "Wanna see Transformers One to celebrate?" He knows NOTHING about Transformers. He was so into it by the end! He was wrapped up and he even says he'll get into Transformers now! This movie is a breath of fresh air after all the stuff Transformers has gotten in the last few years and I *NEED* sequels to this!
I’m not even a massive Transformers guy but this movie felt like not only a good jumping off point for any further Transformers movies but it also felt like a genuine passion project with the references to G1 and the like. It felt like Transformers fans were working on this movie and it turned out great because of it. My favorite is when Alita says to Optimus “You do not have the touch, you do not have the power” I’ll admit that good a chuckle out of me
Can confirm. I took my son to this thinking that he would love it and I was blown away on how good and fun it was. Lots of cool fan service, they didn't undercut the serious moments, and I thought they stayed true to the TF lore, while expanding on it in cool meaningful ways. This movie is a showcase of how you can put your own spin on things and please longtime fans at the same time.
Broooo the fan service was amazing! My favorite part in the whole movie was Elita making a Stan Bush reference. As someone who loves the original Transformers movie, it was greatly appreciated that the producers actually studied up on it.

As a transformers fan, this is the best one. The Bay movies don't scratch the itch, but the 86 animated movie and Bumblebee are still amazing...Transformers One is just so perfectly executed
I hope this movie gets more recognition because it really does deserve it. We've been eating well with robot movies both Transformers One and the Wild Robot

Lifelong, hardcore Transformers fan here. My fiancee and I went to an early fan screening two days prior to its actual release. We both loved it so much, even my fiancee, who’s prone to falling asleep to anything we go see in theaters, was awake and invested in the movie the whole time. It’s genuinely crazy just how much love and effort went into making this movie, and how much it respects both casuals and hardcore nerds like me. We *desperately* need a sequel to TF One!

This kid Zach caught a "Ladybug" in the locker room in 6th gr and named it "Optimus Prime." Anyway in 4th gr I was talking to this other dude Robby about who we thought was the 1st person in our school that would smoke cigarettes. We both said Zach. He became an avid smoker in 8th gr and was in fact the first person in my grade to smoke tobacco. I moved in 7th gr but Robby and I kept talking and he confirmed it for me. Anyway, thanks for trigger because I want a slew of drugs now.

I even read somewhere that Chris Hemsworth spent time with Peter Cullen to get the voice right, and it shows in the movie. As the movie progresses and Orion evolves from Orion Pax to Optimus Prime, his voice becomes more recognizably Optimus-ish.
I read this over and Zach / Robby are some generic ahh American names, but all of this is true. I tried reading it from an untrustful POV and it seems like I added too many specific details and it seemed fake. Then I thought people will think I said THAT to throw them off. But what if i said THAT to throw them off? It was an endless cycle of panic and I wish I didn't get so high b4 typing this bc I'm uncomfortable. I wish I could zap y'all in to my brain so you know I mean what I say, bc it's stressful when truth comes down to various perceptions and trust levels of strangers. I had the honor of doing my first interview/junket with the director of Transformers One, Josh Cooley, and it was clear that everyone involved was passionate about the project. They were all true Transformers fans, and the movie turned out amazing. The atmosphere at the Sydney premiere was truly something special.
First transformers movie by micheal bay got me into transformers. Would love to see transformers getting some love again, youre doing them justice tho dafuq. Maybe in the distant future, you can direct a transformers movie.

I took a friend who wasn't very familiar with Transformers to see it with me yesterday, and because he knew who Prime and Megatron were in passing but didn't know that these were younger versions of the characters, he was blown away by the whole thing. honestly made the second viewing so much fun.
The follow up to Bumblebee which was by far the best Transformers film, should have been a damn sight better than the mid-mess of Rise of the Beasts. It should have been the beginning of a heavily Cybertron focused trilogy.

1:50 nothing heavy? Their transformation cogs were stolen from birth and they were forced to slave away in the mines. They had vital parts of themselves ripped out of them and were forced to mine Energon...
Not to mention an oppressive class system that is also centered around said transformation cogs and surprisingly a couple violent deaths of some cybertronians in this film.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between Orion Pax and D-16 as best friends. Because it hits even harder when that friendship turns into bitter enemies, which then begins the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.

As someone who has lived and breathed Transformers since watching 07 movie at barely 2 years old, listening to Charlie talk about one of my favorite things ever is really nice. And hearing him give my movie of the year the praise it deserves is even better. It's a shame the movies advertising has really done it dirty, but here's to hoping that the more people speak out about how good it is, the more it can prosper. I desperately need them to make a sequel or expand on this iteration of the franchise in someway, as this has definitely been the most refreshing release in a while.

Thing I like most in the movie is that they treat the serious moments AS THEY SHOULD, not have the joke character throw in some shitty quip to soften the impact of the scene
The scene where Megatron ripped Sentinel in half and killed Orion left my theater in shock. Even the children. I saw a mom and her toddler walk out at that moment. This movie was so fucking amazing. I cant wait to pick up the 4K UHD in a few months.
And that's why I hate when people judge a whole movie just based off it's marketing. Like don't prematurely judge a movie until you actually see the full product and make your own decision about it
I have to disagree. Marketing's entire purpose is to get people interested in the product, people times is precious so you have to entice them to watch your product afterall..marketing itself is an artform so dismissing it is wrong..but even if we ignore that. What markeing? This movie got 0 marketing aside from the first trailer(which is mandatory so I won't count it). Like even the people that knew it existed didn't knew it came out, because paramout did NOT market this movie at all.

The ulterior motive hidden in my original comment that I didn't make clear is that people nowadays will judge a film prematurely, aside from the marketing, based on if they think it is "woke" or not just by the cast or the protagonist. And they'll come up with bad excuses like "no one asked for this" or "they're pushing an agenda" based off zero analysis and they just want to see a studio fail for no reason at all. But then when shows that nobody asked for like The Penguin or a show with an agenda like The Boys comes out, it has raving reviews and everyone loves it. So I think projects are very unfairly targeted nowadays, having people declare the project as bad without having seen the final product yet.

The Set, the characters, all of it was beautiful, colorful, and to be honest, I hope in the sequels the colors fade every movie a little bit, it would be awesome to watch the bright colors slowly fade as the war for cybertron rages Also I love how they made it so you could really couldnt root for Optimus or Megs, it felt like they were both right in different ways.

Its so good, i watched it twice. Its a shame the promo campaine was so bad. I think they were just confused on who the target audience should be. Hope it doesn't flop, its literally the best movie to come out all year( Even better than deadpool and wolverine personally).
One idea I have for a transformers game is that when you party up with 5 players you can combine into a combiner like Devastator and just wreak havoc. The host will control the combiner bot but each limb that the players control are responsible for shooting rockets and guns from their respective limbs. Just imagine a battlefield style transformers game where people just roll up as tanks or dive bomb as jets and transform to fight on the ground. The possibilities could be limitless.
I have a friend who went to Annecy International Animation Film Festival where Transformers ONE was screened for the first time. And he guaranteed me the first trailer we got was a terrible representation to the film. That for Transformers fans, "we wouldn't have to worry". The writers ACTUALLY did their lore research for this movie.

Guys, we need to appoint that TFHype guy from twitter to be the next prime of movie marketing and discard the "false prophets" that have been messing around for ages.
I took a friend who wasn't very familiar with Transformers to see it with me yesterday, and because he knew who Prime and Megatron were in passing but didn't know that these were younger versions of the characters, he was blown away by the whole thing. honestly made the second viewing so much fun.
If any TF Movie deserves to be a success is Transformers One without a shadow of a doubt!

The follow up to Bumblebee which was by far the best Transformers film, should have been a damn sight better than the mid-mess of Rise of the Beasts. It should have been the beginning of a heavily Cybertron focused trilogy.

As someone who has lived and breathed Transformers since watching 07 movie at barely 2 years old, listening to Charlie talk about one of my favorite things ever is really nice. And hearing him give my movie of the year the praise it deserves is even better. It's a shame the movies advertising has really done it dirty, but here's to hoping that the more people speak out about how good it is, the more it can prosper. I desperately need them to make a sequel or expand on this iteration of the franchise in someway, as this has definitely been the most refreshing release in a while.

The scene where Megatron ripped Sentinel in half and killed Orion left my theater in shock. Even the children. I saw a mom and her toddler walk out at that moment. This movie was so fucking amazing. I cant wait to pick up the 4K UHD in a few months.

I have to disagree. Marketing's entire purpose is to get people interested in the product, people times is precious so you have to entice them to watch your product afterall..marketing itself is an artform so dismissing it is wrong..but even if we ignore that. What markeing? This movie got 0 marketing aside from the first trailer(which is mandatory so I won't count it). Like even the people that knew it existed didn't knew it came out, because paramout did NOT market this movie at all.

The ulterior motive hidden in my original comment that I didn't make clear is that people nowadays will judge a film prematurely, aside from the marketing, based on if they think it is "woke" or not just by the cast or the protagonist. And they'll come up with bad excuses like "no one asked for this" or "they're pushing an agenda" based off zero analysis and they just want to see a studio fail for no reason at all. But then when shows that nobody asked for like The Penguin or a show with an agenda like The Boys comes out, it has raving reviews and everyone loves it. So I think projects are very unfairly targeted nowadays, having people declare the project as bad without having seen the final product yet.

The Set, the characters, all of it was beautiful, colorful, and to be honest, I hope in the sequels the colors fade every movie a little bit, it would be awesome to watch the bright colors slowly fade as the war for cybertron rages
Also I love how they made it so you could really couldnt root for Optimus or Megs, it felt like they were both right in different ways.

Its so good, i watched it twice. Its a shame the promo campaine was so bad. I think they were just confused on who the target audience should be. Hope it doesn't flop, its literally the best movie to come out all year( Even better than deadpool and wolverine personally).
One idea I have for a transformers game is that when you party up with 5 players you can combine into a combiner like Devastator and just wreak havoc. The host will control the combiner bot but each limb that the players control are responsible for shooting rockets and guns from their respective limbs. Just imagine a battlefield style transformers game where people just roll up as tanks or dive bomb as jets and transform to fight on the ground. The possibilities could be limitless.

I have a friend who went to Annecy International Animation Film Festival where Transformers ONE was screened for the first time. And he guaranteed me the first trailer we got was a terrible representation to the film. That for Transformers fans, "we wouldn't have to worry". The writers ACTUALLY did their lore research for this movie.
