    Good stuff with the grigri man! Missed the gutter by inches!!! 😇 can’t say I’d climb it with the power lines and rotten branches and all. I’d probably bid it for a lift or pass it up 😂 can’t wait to see part 3

    No spikes ?

    • @StihlChainsaws
      @StihlChainsaws  3 місяці тому

      I had spikes on...they are just small pole gaffs though. They are much lighter than tree gaffs & much smaller/easier to use IMO.
      THANKS FOR WATCHING BROTHER
      STAY SAFE

    Could you have zip lined them into the trailer? Or in that direction

      I speedline what can "safely" be speedlined, in the next part. Speedlining on a dead maple isn't the smartest idea. Most guys are so used to doing straight evergreens & have no idea that tree with multiple tops have multiple failure points. They aren't normally straight up & down so because of the lean they are NOT as safe to speedline from. Speedlining puts a shockload of side pull on the stem & I wanted compression into the stem & not side pull

      That space wasn't as big as it looks. Maybe 10ft

    Ok your tree climber/trimmer at least.
    Why climb a tree you have stated felt unsafe?
    Why not use a bucket and cut & hold?
    Why not use a second person in another bucket to hold while you cut?
    What could possibly be the reason to take unnecessary risk to house, power lines, peraonsons helping and lastly your self?

    • @Equals488
      @Equals488 3 місяці тому

      Or zipline it away from the powerlines or use a near by tree to act as a guide?

      Not just spouting or hating.
      When we are nervous that's OK, but when it elevates to the edge of fear.
      Fear is your body telling you "your at your limit of knowledge, ability or working outside of safe.
      You even admitted by saying" we got lucky "
      But you learned and became a better climber that day.
      When you hit that point again, stop think act and review.
      Look at what your other options could have been.
      People that may think less of you from walking away from a tree, are fools.
      Because you didn't lead your self into a trap.
