IMO, this was his best performance. Delivery, vocal range, crowd involvement, stage presence, and musical interpretation were all on point. His individual performances the last two weeks, by comparison, were more subdued and less impactful. (Although his duet with Oliver Steele was thoroughly engaging and well done!) I have high expectations that Iam will return next week, belting out another winner with his beautiful voice and iconic island style.
If you listen to Sam Cooke's live 1963 version, sung at a more up tempo, you'll realize as great as that version is, Iam's paean to the great song has more of a romantic edge to it. It's his best performance of his entire Idol journey.

i think idol is his to lose, but the other contestants have been very very good,i agree with the judges,i think this has been one of their best groups in a few years.. of the top 5 i think we" ani will be a big star,,along with zaccheria..and the the other top 10 will have success.
