    Good video mate and what a top spot eh, we frequent up there and absolutely love it !! Going to camp up there soon I think. We’ve been chomping at the bit for it to reopen after all the fires and stuff - didn’t know it was open already. I know where I’m off to next free weekend 😉👍
    We loved doing that quite long crossing along the river, great fun 👌
    Thanks guys for the good video.

      Lake Lyell was spared from the fires. We didnt see any evidence of the latest fires that ripped through. ZigZag on the other hand was insanely burnt out. Was speechless at the devastation the fires did to Clarence and the surrounding area.
      I heard Lake Lyell was closed for abit due to algae blooms in the lake and coxs river. But with the rains it must have cleared it up.

    Great video.
    Iv been in there a few times and apart from driving up the creek and the last hill climb, i didnt recognise any of those tracks. Goes to show how big that area is.

      Yeah we went there in October last year and explored one side of the coxs river. This trip we wanted to chill and explore the other side. Good variety of tracks all over the place.

    I was up there just before the massive amount of rain we had recently. It looks a lot healthier now!

      Yeah we were there in October last year and the place was dry as. Water levels had dropped on the lake and most of it was a dust bowl.

      Thank you. I try and make these videos better each time. This one was a little harder as more editing and the computer couldn't handle the rendering so had to cut the colour grading. I am glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the comment. Means a lot.

    Great video mate! What tracks did you take to criss cross the cox and drive up it as well? Heading there end of April. Cheers

      Hi Chris,
      We entered the area from the Old Western Road.
      We crossed the Cox's river from near Fire Truck Hill (The Friday Crossing) If you know where that is head towards the hill. Turn left and cross there. Two different sections to it. The main crossing we didnt do as we didnt know the depth. But once across you turn left and will hit the Cox's river again (Main crossings in the video). Thats the start of the river crossings in the Video. A lot of our trips are not planned. Some of the South Coast ones and Turon/Baal Bone Gap trips are planned as we know the areas. This was a explore and see what we find.
      Dave

    Hey mate, the track you took looks really good, me and my sons we want to go up there this weekend are you able to send me the tracks you took from start to finish please?
    It looks like its something we can do without going crazy and can be enjoyed just to spend some quality time away from all the city hustle. Thanks.

    • @DestinationOffroad
      @DestinationOffroad  4 роки тому +1

      They are awesome tracks. It is hard to say or send every track we did as we just explored and had an adventure discovering all the locations. You enter via Old Western Road and head all the way down past the houses to the lake. From there you have tracks all off there.

    Thanks for your vids much appreciated ,Bro can you tell me what set up you have on the challenger are you running 33's ?,diff locks ? Suspension lift ? , body lift ? Both maybe

    • @DestinationOffroad
      @DestinationOffroad  4 роки тому

      Thank you.
      My Challenger runs 32x11.5x15 BFG KM2s, Twin locked, and a two inch suspension lift only.
      Ryans(Silver) runs same size tyres in this video but COOPER Mud tyres, he is front locked but has the rear locker sitting on the bench waiting to go in. And very similar lift but more.

    I'd love to see what Ryan has done engine wise. I know what you mean with lacking power . I saw 2 x 3.5L Pajero engines complete with auto for sale for $500 each recently. This might be an option for me later

    You skipped most of the good hills any reason??

    • @DestinationOffroad
      @DestinationOffroad  4 роки тому +1

      We did a few other tracks and hills but didn't record them due to high traffic on the weekend. We went to firetruck hill on both Saturday and Sunday but both days had either broken rigs half way up or groups of 20+ sitting at the bottom. We didn't go there to do Mount Walker either as some of the rigs are heading to the Vic High Country in a couple of weeks.
      This trip was more of a explore. Don't worry we will be back there and hitting the more exciting tracks later on.
