Minnesota Zoo Rescued Northern Sea Otter Pups Chapter 8: Transport

"So it is a lot of stuff. A lot of water, a lot of food, a lot of towels." Prepping for the otters arrival at the Minnesota Zoo was a huge logistical undertaking. From working with our partners at the Alaska SeaLife Center after the northern sea otter pups' initial rescue, to providing rehabilitation supports, to sending Minnesota Zoo staff to Alaska to build relationships with the otters, to the actual transport by plane, plane, and automobile, there were a lot of moving pieces that all had to come together at the exact moment to make for a smooth transition for all.
