I think it's good that the ride deck no longer counts toward your 50 cards because decks that suffered from a need for more deck space will now have 4 more spaces.
Bruh, i just bought/upgraded the Gramgrace deck and then built a Regalia deck from scratch. I have to go buy 8 more cards now, fuck. Well i guess I should put back in my 4 copies of Drilling Angel and buy 4 more for the Regalia deck. I should at least be grateful that this game isn't as expensive as Yugioh.

Energy seems to be well thought out, so I'm excited to see how it is developed. Now, I'm also excited to see how they can modify it, because we have the Energy Generator crest. But, with how it is worded, we can have SO MANY MORE OPTIONS for other crest. For this comment, I'm going to call them RD Crest (Ride Deck Crest). Random ideas on the top of my head for other RD Crest while I'm typing this. - A RD Crest that has a max of 5 Energy but has faster generation. - A RD Crest that focus on soul charging / counter charging. - A RD Crest that works with specific decks, which could potentially to lead widely different mechanics for said deck. I wouldn't be surprise that at least one of the new 6 bosses heavily uses energy. (I'm expecting at least 1 to use a lot of counter blast, and another soul) so a good way to expand on the mechanic quickly is to have one deck focus on using it. Welstra would be cool to be energy (Cause machines), but probably not, unless the new Welstra doesn't play with his old support at all (Which would suck, and I'm assuming that's not going to be the case and will he is just an upgraded Welstra). So if one of the new decks has energy as a focus, it will probably be the keter deck, cause MC showing off new mechanic is pretty standard.
The Divine skill probably has something to do with energy. Since it's supposed to be a really big skill that can change the tide of the game, it may be safe to assume that it's an "ENERGY CHARGE 10 activate the effect".
@@someoneoutthere4844 I don't think they all will use Energy... but at the same time I can see that happening that you need to Energy-Blast at least five to use the skill. Hopefully it won't be too long before we start getting the reveals.

The energy mechanic is cool and all but man does it feel bad that it's hidden behind the Starter Decksets innitially. So it'll essentially be buying the staples, a new Grade 3, some accessories, and a gacha pull with free vanilla cards, wish it was priced cheaper (for global release).
My thoughts on this are very simple. First, I am thankful that Bushiroad isn't rebooting the game again because I feel like the game is more playable since overdress. Second, I think the energy counter is an interesting idea so seeing how this new resource becomes used will be interesting. Finally, I'm excited to see what this new mechanic will do for current decks like Youthberk.
Man, the energy ride crest really adds another layer of decision making when more cards are added that use the energy crest. I think the addition of a third resource is great in terms of differentiating D format from other formats as well. I think D format can really be proud of the system, I mean personally I really like it. I think Divine skills would probably use energy blasts as well, because they're divine beings like the cray elementals lol.
I really didn't see vanguard gaining a new resource system and for that i don't really know what to think of it. With standard not having trigger pgs, having the extra 4 slots in the main deck is nice.
So energy activates as soon as you ride on your first turn (unless youre griphoseed) and it acts as like speed counters worked in Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds meaning you get a charge every turn
Really like the energy system, having a free renewable resource that has implications for offense and defense really excites me as paying attention to how much open energy my opponent has is one of my favorite parts of shadowverse evolve and one piece. Now I just got to hope I have those 4 extra sleeves/oversleeves for my decks
Used to be the whole left side of playmat, then g zone took it over, same with order zone, now there's a whole new half zone above it, the damage zone is so small haha

It is interesting/unfortunate that they are going to be printing cards that are effectively vanillas in premium due to having no energy counters. Standard already has poor conversion into premium and this certainly doesn't help. That being said, I do like this addition as it opens up the design space to really cool stuff. I can imagine archetypes revolving entirely around EC and EB, bosses getting extra utility through EB skills, and maybe some cool alternative costs like "CB1 or EB3". I also wonder if they'll print cards that can interact with the opponent's energy since, at the moment, it's a resource that is just ever-present.
This Energy Mechanic sounds interesting, and definitely adds a bit of strategy to the game, the one thing I'm worried about this mechanic is that they might start making absurd units that might break the game. When the new trial decks were revealed for the first time, I was excited, when I learned that most of the units in these trial decks are vanilla, I was annoyed, but then I learned that the new start decks are really leaning towards teaching newer players especially children to play Vanguard, I began to understand on why they did this and to be honest I'm okay with this direction if it can help them increase their player base. (okay the trigger gacha is still somewhat annoying but I'll let it slide).
I like the fact the ride deck doesn’t count to the 50, but I bought some cool blackout sleeves and daybreak sleeves for some of my decks and don’t know where I put the remainders, so I might have to buy a whole new pack of those sleeves which sucks a bit
main question now for old D standard is how broken new energy cards be compared to older support costed cards. Also if energy gets main deck chargers (similar to cc and sc). Will there be also divinez for older decks down the line or just updated energy based RG support. Lastly how will energy costs be equivalent to other costs in gauging if one skill is over costed or not (so far with the cray, if standard is in increments of 2 then 2 energy means = sb 2/3 or cb1)
I think it's good that the Energy mechanic doesn't feel too OP at the moment (although we'll see how it goes in the coming releases) and feels more like a sidegrade instead of an upgrade like the Stride mechanic is.
I do wish the energy crest had a defensive skill by default instead of a draw skill. something like "once per turn: pay as much energy you want and get 5k shield for every two energy". I get it may interfere with what's planned, but the game really needs more built in defensive mechanics. The heals needed to stay at 20k shield. Heck, from the start fronts, draws, and heals should have had +5k shield, whether it be through an effect or by default. If you have effect triggers, they should have more interesting skills then a skill that is just +5k shield. When you add such a boring skill to an important card to the game, it really shows you messed up and you don't have the guts to change things at the foundation, even though it would have been no challenge to do so at all. And will it be for all clans or have the problem of astral planes (only for genisis) I personally like Shadow Paladin , Great Nature and Nubatama I was a boomer vanguard player pre corona i quitted in 2020 (Zazan xD ) Well .. weeks ago i saw videos that the game is nearly dead (not so many video games all this stuff ) but actually there are projects for improving it . I really like the game , especially how it's more custom , lore and playstyle heavy than nearly other card games .. Crest and set order goes to seperate zone. You can run energy crest (more like you need to run it to have a legal deck) in every deck since it is a game mechanic

Very unlikely. Theory is that Dear Days will end after triple drive booster stuff is added which marks the end of the Dress series and right before these changes would take place. Also, no new wave of DLC has been announced for Dear Days either.
I'm not that smart. I need help explaining the new crest. Why is it beneficial for going second? Because it says that you get one when riding. Player 1 rides first. Doesn't that mean Player 1 gets energy quicker? Or is this like when 1 player rides, both players gets the crest?
The player going 2nd gets 3 more energy after getting the crest compared to the player going 1st, so the player getting the crest going 2nd has as much energy as the player going 1st after their next turn.

soulblast and counterblast is fine but it hits wall in design space pretty fast imo. Having additional resource system on paper is very good for the game imo, it does make game a bit more complicated and I understand if some ppl are discouraged, but personally I think this is in very good direction. for 'older' decks at the very least energy will give you a card draw, and there's that new cray elemental that also usable by older decks

Do we know if DivineZ is gonna be its own format like D/V/Premium? Or is it an addition to D and/or "Standard"?

Honestly I don’t think people are thinking enough about how having a higher deck size is going to effect how many triggers you see in a game
if its a deck of 50, this means the nations vault will be almost impossible if you have outer sleeves.
