It's a lot of junk laying around. What I need to do is find a day so i can get rid most of them. Yeah the bead breaker was a fun project, works pretty decent for what im doing. I have some squire tubing that were laying around for 7 years and finally found something useful for it. thanks for watching
I think it would be easier if you went counter-clockwise when putting the tire on. I also have seen guys lube the duck head also to help with putting it on.
Nice! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the materials to make the modification to the tire changer? Just received my duck bill from Amazon, now I need to start building the arm setup!
How big an air compressor do I need to get the bead to pop onto the rim when mounting tires on small passenger car size wheels? In other words.... What’s the cheapest harbor freight one that will do the job?
a cheap 1 gallon air compressor will work just fine but will take slightly longer to fill the tire with air VS. a 10 or 30 gallon air compressor. the problem is getting the bead to seal. you'll need a bead blaster. in some situation i do use it but in most case i don't need it as often. if you don't trust the tire shop and like to do it your self a bead blaster is a good investment. if you're going this route, make sure your air compressor is adding air into the tire while the bead blaster discharge. i hope this helps!!!
For home shop, 30 gallons or better in 2 stage. Keep at 90-100 psi . If serious mechanic, 60-80 gallons. Myself own 80 gallons with 130 different type air tools. All depends on you.
I’ve noticed on the “automatic” machines that the duck head runs the opposite direction, but in my experience with these manual machines it just doesn’t work well. It seems to work a LOT better to run it “backwards” on these things. I go counter-clockwise whether I am removing or installing tires on mine.
You should always go counterclockwise. When you were installing the tire, you reverse Direction. That is incorrect. Yes, you made it, but when you get into stiffer sidewall tires that won't work.
That's an impressive setup. I respect it.
I sure hope you got some garage shelving and and steel-toed shoes by now. That said, your bead breaker device is nice piece of work.

I wear my composite toes everywhere, couldn’t be without at this point I’d end up breaking my toes too use to kicking stuff.

thanks for the heads up.
Right on both counts. Much easier with lube.
CCW for tire on and off
noticed that too.
Very creative sir, your shop is not messy, thats the way a mans workshop is suppose to be.
thanks. finally someone understands me
Sure bet it''s not the wifey LOL!
Do you usually use your duck head for steel rims?
Yeah and also for Aluminum wheels too
Good up-grade on tire changer, where'd the balancer and weights come from?
the balancer i got it from Harborfreight. i reuse the old weights that came with the rim. thanks for watching.
Nice!

Fortunately these are scrap steel from an employer i work with. Good luck on your build.

unless you're talking about the bead is not seating correctly while the tire already filled with air?

Would be real nice if you let us know how to make the tool to be used with the H,F manual tire machine.
Thanks
I'll keep that in mind on my next tire change vid. The one I made here is similar to the one you see all over youtube. Thanks for watching!!!!

just so you know, you are going in the wrong direction with the duck bill head you have but looks like it works for you

You need to remove all weights before balancing. You left the one on the backside of the wheel
I know. Thanks for the heads up 😁
Don't for get to like and subscribe for more tire changing videos!
Good job, but maybe not so much talking next time, lol

Thanks for the info.
Почти у всех всё переделанное китайское. Неужели китайцы сразу не могут сделать такой вариант?
yes, Ebay.
Get better lube, sounds awful.
Naw, just water and soap.
Nice tool … now learn to use it correctly.
It's not a tool. It's a talent. Got the job done like the professionals. 😁
