- crepe paper costumes are not what they seem. they may look beautiful in those drawings from the 1920’s, but if you’ve ever wondered what they look like in real life, here you go! i tried my best to recreate this bat costume from a 1920’s Dennison’s magazine and it did not go well. at least I got a cool hat out of it!

I think you look so cute in this!!!!! You did a lovely job of constructing it.
I love that you recreated this!
Your efforts are commendable and the hat is really cute. If you had lived in the 1920s there's a good chance you would have sewn a lot of your own outfits, so some of the instructions would have been intuitive. The costumes with the crepe paper would have started off with a fabric base and the crepe paper added on top. They were never meant to be worn a second time. Crepe paper was a very disposable product.
This is extremely cute! I love the way the skirt and hat look ands the tunic isn’t bad at all. Sorry you can’t rewear it but it is adorable ;)
This was so funny omg
Did you use instructions? :o I tried looking for instructions, I couldn’t find them anywhere 😭
