Just enough to get us hyped for the next Scream movie
As surprising as how many kills there were they may not have been as ferocious as in Scream 5 but Ghostface in this makes them look just as ruthless and makes it more emotionally fucked up to witness as somebody is just killed. It's amazing to watch a fan film let alone a Scream movie and it is just as captivating as if it was a wide released movie. I don't know if it's too soon to say Scream Legacy tops Scream 5 as my favorite Scream sequel but to me it's damn close to doing just that.

The voice gave me chills
i gave this a chance, i thought it had some strong actors but a thin plot. I could go into but I just want to say it was a fun way to end my night before bed and it had some well acted scenes.
Scream Legacy was really good. Congratulations Zenhouse Studios & everyone involved. The story was interesting and I cared about the main characters. I enjoy watching good fan films & this one is a success.

Being a fan film I definitely lowered my expectations. That being said, I wish I could agree with your assessment, cause I absolutely wanted to love it, but I couldn’t overcome the acting, dialogue, and a number of shots that unintentionally made me laugh. Much respect to the filmmakers who clearly put their heart into it.

@@lionelwilliams1646 Funniest for me is where Ghostface chases the podcaster into the kitchen, then she tries but fails to hit him in the face with the freezer door, then she falls down for no apparent reason 🤣

What if Scream 6/7 reveals Ghostface himself to actually all along have been an obsessed Maureen prescott stalker from highschool that wants to ruin Sidney’s life because he psychotically wanted maureen’s love way early on. He’s been the one behind the knife every movie and the revealed killers are just his braggadocious minions. I feel like Ghostface not actually having an identity is what holds it back from actually crossing from suspense thriller into actual horror. Give him a face and reasoning.
I watched it and it was a great effort but the acting and story execution was just hard to get over. Some things seemed way too ridiculous like how the boyfriend wanted to meet Katie and they had only known each other for a couple weeks… WTF was that?! It was laughable when the Podcaster was attacked for absolutely no reason other than she said she wanted to get to the bottom of the killing. And when she fell in the kitchen after having NOTHING happen to her to make her fall then she army crawled for no reason. I have no doubt that the film making was great but this wasn’t it for me.

I can tell they poured their hearts into it and made something they love, and that's great. I'm glad other people love it so much. I don't understand why, I thought it was just okay. Some things in it didn't make sense to me, the dialogue wasn't very good in my opinion, and I didn't buy the story. Definitely some good things in it though, the way they mimicked Roger Jacksons voice was amazing. A couple of the chase scenes were really fun.

I just watched this fan film and I fricken LOVED it!!!! Much better thought out than the current Scream movie! The only problem I had with it??? Once ghostface is done killing off the main characters before the big reveal??? There's only ONE person left who it could be, and that's who it is! But their true identity is quite a shock!
I do have one question about your review though.... The song you play when you flash the Scream 2 poster.... It sounds so familiar, is that a Tears For Fears song????
It was definitely a good watch. I'd actually watch it over Part 4 any day.

7.5/10 Story was there, acting was good.. I would not put it up there with NHA. Maybe a step below, but there was some spots in filming or editing that took me out. Gets a little jumpy at times… I know, it’s a little knit pick.. I would recommend this to others.
The killer motivation was a billion times better than the most recent movie

i loved this fan film. my only complaint if the killer was so predictable. as soon as they were on screen, as their regular character, I knew they had to be the killer. However, their motive wasn't answering

A old house is destroyed. New family comes to springwood Ohio they buy a property that's on sale cause nobody wants to touch it cause the history not being from there they careless things happen everywhere they build on the property it just happens the old property was a child killers former place where his house stood now a new house the street still had the presence of Freddy Krueger one of the sons end up having nightmares and guess who comes back slowly thru through the family sibling by sibling spreading fear on the same street several decades later Freddy comes back to play you get the point right sounds like it'd work
Do fan films have to get Copyright clearance?
I don't believe it's an issue as long as they don't make money off of them. But in some cases I have heard of the rights holders shutting people down.
I agree about some of the acting and appreciate the effort. Overall the story and cinematography are not very good at all.
Definitely was solid. I agree with Mike, just personal changes here and there. Other than that, it was good.

It was ok. I’m a huge Scream fan and still found it hard to finish. That being said it looks great, it’s shot great. The acting isn’t awful. Was hoping the killer was gonna end up being the killers name from Dead by Daylight. Thought that would have been a cool tie-in.

Having worked for the major studios for years, half the time the "professionals" can't hit the mark and make something that feels cinematic. These guys nailed it and they did it without the Hollywood bullshit. Phenomenal.
Hells yeah man, they nailed the whole Scream vibe.
