Is it though? I'm not even 10 minutes in and I want to stop watching. What reason did the guy have for throwing his phone while running to the door? He was struggling to unlock the door, but it is somehow unlocked when he moved away from it... why did he crawl to the... why did he go to the window screaming help.... the whole beginning scene was beyond stupid.

It’s best to just watch the entire film, cause I think it’s good, despite some scenes being stupid, even though all the canon scream’s had stupid scenes as well

Not going to lie fan films NEVER hold my attention I usually stop watching half way through but this was amazing I already watched it twice. My fave scene was the cemetery scene when Beth asked for Sidney’s number…the eerie score in the background is perfect it definitely builds suspense in a subtle way. Can’t wait for a physical release of this to ad to my Scream collection up on my shelf👍🏼🔥

Well in that case you should check out the harleen fan-made film it's basically a fan-made film of what they want to see as Joker and Harley Quinn in the future the Batman sequels... not all but most people are smart enough to realize the whole end scene of the Batman where we saw the Joker in The Riddler and Arkham Asylum was pretty much set up the sequel.
A great example of this is the deleted scene that a lot of people saw on UA-cam between the Batman and the Joker or the Joker with pretty much like an FBI profiler profiling The Riddler. It would be pretty cool if it turns out that the Joker was a corrupted FBI profiler after all in the deleted scene of the Batman The Joker did not have chemical burns like Jack Nicholson Joker, The Joker in the deleted scene of the Batman seems more like he had third-degree Burns like he was in some kind of altercation with the Batman that caused him to look like that.
it would be kind of interested in the sequels if we see like a younger Robert Pattinson Batman fighting the Joker because at some degree they will have to show that to the audience because we never saw the Batman locking the Joker away... even when you watch the Batman you saw Bruce Wayne's files it said like year one or year two so Bruce in the Batman was already Batman for at least 2 years

Although the description notes the events of Scream 4 and Scream (2022) are ignored, I love how this works as a Scream 5.5 and suggests the reason for Sidney's absence in Scream VI. Regardless ... pehnominal job by both cast and crew! Incredible composition and spine-tingling sound design. I loved the brutality and the subtle Craven campiness around Ghostface. Can't beat it.

This is one of the best youtube recommendations that ever came up on my account. I was expecting this to be the typical non-budget "me and my friends made this" type of fan film. Turned out to be the best fan film I've ever seen. It was great, the acting was great, the production values and editing were top tier, you guys should be enormously proud.

The Scary thing about Ghostface is him under the mask he's just a perfectly average looking man who's all too capable of blending into society. He's not just some Hideously deform creature or a raging psychotic. He is just the co-worker you occasionally talk to at the officer. Ghostface is a Monster that hides in plain sights and great for playing innocent.

What can be said, this is an OUTSTANDING fan film. Any scream fan would love this. The story of Sidneys daughter is brilliant. The scences with ghostface are outstanding, everything looks as good as Hollywood quality. The music was used fantastically, with nods to the movies.

Normally I wouldn’t expect that much from a fan movie, but, as someone who’s never been scared of the actual Scream movies, this was ominous in a way that sends shivers up your spine and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I shouldn’t have watched it as late as I did, but it was worth it! This Ghost Face is more menacing than the others, and I’m glad you didn’t scrap the film’s sense of humor. I was captivated throughout the entire film, and if you had told me this was legitimate, I wouldn’t have blinked.

Felt like the killer shouldn’t have been able to teleport in the final act between inside and outside, made it seem like 2 killers. Also how old was this guy? He said he was 10 when Billy died yet he’s dating a girl the same age as Katie when Katie was born much later. I needed more scenes of the killer before hand to really be sold on him.
Other than that this film was spectacular all around from script to cast and beautiful cinematography congratulations to the entire team on an outstanding feature. Hope to see more

For what it’s worth, this is a great fan made film. You have to watch it as such, and not try to compare it to a director such as Wes Craven.
Is the camerawork and acting the best? No, but the dedication this team put into the script and the overall experience is 100% felt. It’s amazing in that aspect. It also felt like it’s something you’d see on TV.

I have an idea for a Scream fan film for you to make. Title: Requiem for a Ghostface
Opening Scene: Interior - Woodsboro High School - NightWe see a dimly lit hall with lockers spread along the walls. We see Sidney, the main character, walking down the hall. Suddenly, a figure in a Ghostface mask jumps out from behind the lockers and stabs Sidney before disappearing into the shadows.
Sidney: (gagged and struggling) Mmmpfh! (Translation: Help me! Help!)
The camera fades to black.
Act 1
Scene 1: Interior - Sidney’s Bedroom - MorningSidney wakes up in a sweat, gasping for air. She gets out of bed, and we see her look at the picture of her mom on the wall. She’s determined to find out who is behind the Ghostface mask.
Sidney: (to herself) I will stop this killer once and for all.
Scene 2: Interior - Woodsboro High School - DaySidney walks through the same dimly lit hall as in the opening scene. She sees Tatum, her best friend, who seems a bit troubled.
Sidney: Hey, Tatum, what’s going on?
Tatum: It’s just the usual high school drama. You know how it is.
Sidney: Yeah, but something feels off.
Tatum: Don’t worry, Sid. We’ll figure it out.
As they walk, they notice that they are being watched by a figure in the distance.
Scene 3: Interior - Woodsboro High School - DayThe figure in the Ghostface mask is revealed to be Randy. He joins Tatum and Sidney and they walk together.
Randy: Hey, how’s it going?
Sidney: Randy, you scared the hell out of me.
Tatum: Yeah, what’s up with the creepy mask?
Randy: I wanted to see how you’d react. That’s all.
They arrive at their next class, which is English.
Scene 4: Interior - English Class - DayThe class is watching a horror movie. Sidney gets uneasy, and we notice that she’s remembering the killings.
Sidney: (whispering) This is too realistic.
Billy: (whispering) Relax, Sid. It’s just a movie.
Suddenly, they hear strange sounds coming from the hall.
Sidney: (whispering) What was that?
They investigate and find nothing, but tensions are high.
Act 2
Scene 1: Interior - Sidney’s Bedroom - NightSidney is on her computer, texting Tatum. She gets a message from an unknown number.
Unknown: Hello, Sidney.
Sidney: (typing) Who is this?
Unknown: The one who killed your mother… And will soon kill you.
Sidney freezes, and we see the killer in Ghostface mask outside the window.
Scene 2: Interior - Woodsboro High School - DayBilly comes into the courtyard and notices something strange with Tatum.
Billy: Hey, Tatum, you okay?
Tatum: I’m fine. Why do you ask?
Billy: It’s just that you look pale.
Tatum: It’s probably just stress. I’ll be fine.
Randy approaches Sidney.
Randy: Hey, did you hear about the party tonight?
Sidney: No, I haven’t. Why?
Randy: It’s just something we planned to take our minds off things.
Sidney: I’m sorry, Randy, but I can’t. I need to stay focused on taking down this killer.
Scene 3: Interior - Sidney’s Bedroom - NightSidney is in bed, trying to sleep. Suddenly, she hears a sound and gets up to investigate. She finds Ghostface in her closet and screams.
Sidney: (screaming) Who are you?
Ghostface: (In a deep, scary voice) I am the one who haunts you in your dreams.
The chase begins, and Sidney ends up in the backyard, where she tries to escape. She climbs up onto the roof, but Ghostface follows.
Sidney: (struggling) Leave me alone!
Ghostface: You can’t escape me, Sidney.
Final Act
Scene 1: Interior - Sidney’s Bedroom - NightThe final confrontation takes place in Sidney’s bedroom. Ghostface is revealed to be Roman, Sidney’s brother.
Roman: You didn’t think I was actually dead, did you?
Sidney: (gasping) Roman? How did you survive?
Roman: My death was staged. I watched you all from afar, waiting for my time to strike.
The battle ensues, and Sidney manages to take down Roman. She collapses on the ground, exhausted.
Scene 2: Interior - Sidney’s Bedroom - DaySidney, Tatum, and Randy are sitting together, relieved that it’s all over.
Sidney: I never thought I’d see the end of this nightmare.
Tatum: But we made it. That’s all that matters.
Randy: You know, we make a pretty good team. Maybe we should do this again sometime.
Sidney: (smiling) Why not?
The camera fades to black as they chat and laugh.
End of Film.

This was so good. I've been obsessed with the Scream franchise for my whole life. Ghostface is literally my favorite character ever. And this movie was exactly like watching another scream movie, and I loved it.

I gotta say , I don't normally watch fan films all the way through because they lose my attention but this one was amazing. I enjoyed it. The ending was really interesting and I thought it was a damn good movie. Special shout out to the cast and crew who made this possible. 5/5 Stars. Literally the only movie I've enjoyed watching all the way through for a fan film.

All the callbacks I think is the term, is what I liked the most about this. Something that even the actual films often fail to do (apart from mentioning Billy and less often, Stu, over and over again, as if they were the only ones who went on a killing Spree...)
Here they mention Roman, and Castillo is still dealing with some PTSD after witnessing Roman's killing Spree. They Also mention Mickey and Ms. Loomis, Windsor college, and so on. Absolutely loved that aspect.

This was recommended to me by a friend and I didn't know what to expect since most fan films aren't typically that great. This however is some top tier work and the amount of love the team has for the franchise shines through with the attention to detail. This movie easily belongs in the franchise and I'm considering it cannon. Wish this could have been longer, Amazing work!

As someone who considers herself a diehard Scream fan, this was genuinely & shockingly good. For a fan-made movie, you guys really made this feel like it belonged in the franchise. You followed the formula, which admittedly made the killer, red herring, and hero all predictable, but kept it fresh! This’ll be one I watch in conjunction with any rewatches I do in the future! Incredibly well done and thrilling! The music even felt like it was plucked straight from a horror movie score! 10/10 will be tossing this my fellow Screamers ways!

Got that right. These people did their research and actually knew what they were doing. If you are going to make a fan film, do it right amd make it good and show that you atleast made an attempt to put in some effort to keep it close to the actual film.
found this through instagram and had almost no expectations. I am actually thoroughly surprised at how great the production value is. I really don't think this should be considered a fan film due to the great production value, acting, and attention to detail. Great job!

@@ZenhouseStudios if I ever see a good movie I would give this movie a thumbs up I don’t know if this is seven or six movie but the bad thing is Prescott was on the phone with her daughter and that’s sad when the grandmother dies I don’t remember when she passed away but her granddaughter really misses her so she went to the graveyard and went to go visit her grandma and scream actually killed her grandpa she thought that he was home the whole time he was texting her it was scream who was sending her messages but this freaking movie I would recommend it to 13 years old kids that like scary movies three-year-old and five-year-old are not meant to watch this so don’t make your kids watch it if they don’t want to watch it and if they’re in to scary things let them watch Encanto that’s another good movie for a kid or a girl or twins whatever you have. :-) Happy face happy to know all my peeps like scary movies and scream movies goodbye?

okay After fully watching this I can finally give my constructive criticism as a writer myself here were the strengths and the flaws
Your strengths:
The actors did an amazing job with the simple dialogue, Everything felt clear, and the story leading up to the killer kept it a mystery the whole time without even trying, I kinda figured it was the quiet sweet boyfriend however The money was more on the Ex-boyfriend or even the woman that seemingly ignored Prescott daughter about the whole number thing at the cemetery everyone acting in this film for it being just a fan-made film did fantastic overall.
The music was amazing, felt eerie, thrilling, dramatic in places where most movies seem to never hit where they should, I felt on edge the whole movie due to the atmosphere just feeling overall horrific, kept me engaged in watching, none of the characters in these movies were uninteresting or abnormal, they were likable and left nothing to be desired as they all had their own unique personality which is more atone to the realism of human beings in real life, the more it feels real the better the movie turns out, Acting nowadays in Hollywood seems fake even though it's fake it isn't believable they have lost their touch one that I hope you don't lose your touch on by allowing money do to you what it does to most people.
the plot was interesting, You didn't see any of the original cast and that is fine, this is a fan-made film that was much to be expected however it was interesting how your writing was able to explain where and what, how and the why was blatantly obvious so there was no need, Other words I didn't feel like any of the original characters were shit on if anything I felt like they were respected and given as much credit for the previous films.
your weaknesses:
When it came to the special effects you lacked the special effects or rather the setup points to showing the knife wounds hitting and the special effects revealing right on the scene, however, this is to be expected from a studio that did this for the fan base purposes but is something to try and improve on in the future.
The acting in terms of the character's reactions and reaction times were a bit clunky and off, for example, Prescot's daughter seemed way too calm in the situation where her dead friend was lying on top of her she should have been screaming her brains out frightened as all hell, nobody Idc who you are would have been able to go through that with a straight-up calm demeanor. I have other examples but that one was the one that bugged me the most, certain reactions should have had people screaming or I don't know is a bit more afraid of the situation made it seem weak in terms of the killer having any fearful effect over anybody from a psychological standpoint, physically and knowledge-wise those cops would not have gone down that easily, the ex-boyfriend also hesitated when there was literally no need to, each fight or kill scene should have been a struggle till the last possible second cause that is most likely what would have happened.
Granted again I realize this is a fan-made film for what it was, it definitely outperformed parts 4 and 5 in terms of writing potential you guys definitely kept me on my feet which is something a slasher film or slasher films in general lack these days, some times its the little things that get overlooked when money gets in the way of fine production, again overall I would still rate this an 8 out of 10 because it shows Hollywood up and makes them with all they have to look like amateurs. YOu guys did a fantastic job overall and I wish to see you guys make your own movies down the line outside of Hollywood and try and get them to sell, you guys have amazing potential and I hope you guys succeed.
