In the 1997 - 1999 you should definetley add the concert where they played in roundhouse sydney austraillia!! Its a really good concert and a great setlist
I literally JUST finished rewatching the first two episodes!! Also, funny story: Apparently Green Day crashed at my friend's dad's place once! The story is that it was early in their career, definitely before Dookie, and it was at a punk house in Connecticut where the band played a show, smoke a shitton of weed with everyone, and then proceeded to pass out for the night.
Honorable mention: Geek Stink Breath was debuted in 1994 on GD's first SNL appearance as their second song. Minor lyrical differences but so cool as it was not the song they were supposed to play.
One of the most underrated eras that I wish we had more of, there's so little live material of Insomniac in terms of deep cuts which I guess adds to it's intrigue or mystique(?). Also, one thing I would like to mention about the Prague show, one of the camera people in the proshot straight up dropped onto the floor into a seizure due to the strobe lights at the end of 86.. Nuts (and hope they're doing well nowadays wherever they are) Again, another great video, please continue with these ♡
ua-cam.com/video/RCafqE65A08/v-deo.htmlsi=ad2APxK4N3Wen11f here's a show you didn't mention that I feel should have been mentioned it's a show in Rochester at the War Memorial and has the only other known audio of No Pride being played live with electric guitars
bad information at 31:15 mark. Green Day wasn't banned from Gilman St. Billie was-- for drinking alcohol in the bathroom with a bunch of other people (who also got kicked out until they came to a meeting and apologized. Billie never went to a meeting to answer to this indiscretion). It's good to not spread misinformation. Besides that you're video is fine. Lots of love and research
Favorite songs off Insomniac??

Thanks for the shoutout, brother! Always happy to help!
You are doing gods work
A Green Day vid in September, how fitting
I sometimes forget just how deep Billie's singing voice used to be. He sounds way higher nowadays
I think part of it is that he was purposely singing in a lower octave and also he was smoking a lot of shit back then (cigarettes, pot, and some meth)

Kerplunk is still my favorite of theirs as good as Dookie is...middle school memories. I tried dying my hair blue with Kool-Aid...mistakes were made.
Nice! Been waiting for this one, my favorite Green Day album.
I think the Insomniac live show era had their most entertaining performances. Sound was very tight as well despite how fast they played.
I was born in March of 1996 so its cool to see what was happening at that time!! Another banger video about green day!
Lets fucking go, Another Green day retrospective!!!
I enjoy this a lot, please continue to do this :)
So excited to watch this! I was just finishing the Mario Sunshine video too
When's the next SOAD Live? Keep up the good work btw bro
When you do the retrospective for Nimrod, be sure to mention how Billie would take his pants off during King For A Day to reveal his leopard thong 😁
The best Green Day song is Holiday.
YESS FIANLLYYY
It’s dumb how Prague 199(6?) wasn’t fully released, I saw a recording on UA-cam, but it got deleted so yay.
