Back when i was playing league pc shen was also one of my fav champions. It's good to have him back he's very agile, can protect his teammates, can change the tide of battle, very annoying cc and really tanky champ. Even me as a support main the only other lane i'm playing is the baron lane which is perfect for shen
@@Johndada517 I don't feel like it... I believe that his ult is op by giving a massive shield all across the map... But it is just the way Shen works with stacking hp, and the builds for him are there... Either way, BOTRK is perfect against Shen, and Divine Sunderrer, so you have items in the game that counter him. Shen is pretty much the same as he is in League PC. He should be really durable, and deals damage slowly as tanks often do. But We will see how he doas in the long run, similar how Sett was judged... Also, Sett with Divine Sunderer and Darius can counter Shen pretty good...
I’d recommend divine sunderer on shen, it’s really good on shen gives hp as well. Since we dont have titanic hydra or rift maker, one dmg item on shen is good
ive tried it and it feels really lackluster, maybe because magic damage is just better because all champions naturally have less magic resist compared to armor. I recommend going full hp items instead, so you rely on grasp of the undying + your Q + sunfire aegis for damage

Because the important skill of shen is his ultimate, he can save teammates from getting ganked and turn the table. That's why riot want you to learn to look the map more frequently
for the people who also want to play shen (if your reading this comment) he is one of the few heroes alongside garen who teaches you how to learn macro in top lane. the reason is because 1. he teaches you positional awareness thanks to his spirit blade mechanic and 2. is that he also helps you learn map awareness with his ultimate. And also if you want to play shen top your job is to only hold your lane while also help your team mates and pressure your enemies with your ulti though winning your lane is also good. Though all of this is just my personal opinion i hope this helps the people who want to play shen.
The best trick I could give is to position the sword in lane,that value is insane.Don’t hesitate to use it for early trades cause Shen wins almost all early games if played correctly.A great combo that isn’t that “basic” is to use E from the enemy’s side into ur side so u taunt them and then u call the sword(pressing Q obv)as well having them Taunted+ slowed plus an easier way to kite in top lane that matters a lot,since u can’t really stand in a fight and spam abilities.Shen is the king of cheap trading while being extremely supportive for himself and his team.Now the biggest factor that most new players forget about Shen is that u can’t have an R to help u kill someone and that’s how they play Shen wrong.Upon getting 6 u must raise the overall map awareness because that’s what u must do whoever u have the R.Make each one more beneficial than the other.Last tip for the most “hard” combo is using flash while pressing E.While u see the E animation going off like 0.6 secs of it ,u use the flash to increase both the time that it takes to cast it as well as make it more unpredictable.Also for builds don’t expect much cause wr lacks the truly good items for Shen same goes with runes(sadly no river Shen 😪).
Btw Shen can use full AP built, because his first and ultimate scaling with AP, and with AP built u can deal a loot damage because his first skill enhance his basic attack that scaling with enemy HP, the higher your AP the higher his first skill scaling enemy HP.

at 14:39, you may be wasting the max mana but the item is designed to spam abilities so you don't have to look at the mana but more at if you want to spam abilities (it also work with frozen gauntlet and the "ap" version abyssal mask) and sweet tooth not only give more mana but also more hp so if you want more "sustain" in lane or if you want to survive the lane because of a bad matchup, you can still for sweet tooth
I was murdered by a full AP Shen earlier today lol, his dmg from s1 enhanced strikes were ridiculous!!! His passive wasn't as good but his s1 and ultimate were insane! His s1 dmg based off enemy hp was over 20%. His ultimate shield was around 1.7k hp.
A little shen mechanic you can do to get someone out of their tower is a backwards taunt. Only use this when you have a big HP advantage over your enemy. Basically, if they're under their tower with low HP what you can do is get very close to them, and then E away from the tower range and use q immediately to get that range and get 3 empowered AAs on the enemy

if you dont know who shen is and why he looks like zed, they're basically rivals, akali is shen's student, zed's student might also be released in wild rift because the devs said about the next champs being an edgelord
His character design reminds me of both the similarity and difference between him and Zed--Similar in that they're both agile and has the 'assassin/ninja' look and the difference is that Shen would want to frontline and doesn't encourage a cowardly, pussy and dirty cheapshot playstyle.

I’ve been playing a bunch of shen and I think divine sunderer is a very good second or first item for him. He can use his abilities a lot and keep activating the bonus damage and he scales well with the ho.
The third skill with a protobelt and flash looks huuuge to stun Multiple enemies. I liked Shen more than Karma, he gives a different play style to the game, and Karma seems like Morgana on my opinion.
I'ma Shen main, and once I heard in that first post that Shen, Karma, sett, and Yuumi would be coming to Rift.. I immediately lost interest in playing anymore until he dropped and I'm SOOOOOO fuckin hyped about it broooo
When i play shen on pc sometimes i play AP Shen its so fun to play and the enemy will not expected the ult barrier will be almost full health of your teammate and all of his abilities are ap scale i did not try it yet on wild rift😂😂😂
@@rivershen8954 I know, but his damage output mid to late game is really low even with grasp. Grasp wouldn't provide much mid to late game, while aftershock will make you tankier and deal some damage. But of course, for laning the Grasp is better...

I usually pick Teleport more than Stoneplate whenever I know the team only need my presense on objectives and teleport back on my lane to split push or buy time. I use Stoneplate if there's foreign player on our team (Sorry Viet and Indo players). Because their playstyle are more agressive regardless of situation and I have to compensate on their mistakes. With this current Patch, I'm looking forward on Gauntlet since it has hp and armore (Probably will replace DS on extensive trade capabilities.

Aftershock rune stacks really good with Shen's 3rd ability, and it is better for tanking teamfights.... But Grasp is better for lane matchups....
grasp is better overall, gives health when proc'ing and deals more magic damage that scales with your own hp so building full hp items is good
