In this video we need to program a BIOS chip (EEPROM/EPROM) on our 8800GT Graphics card. But the GPU is not detected by the PC. So how can we do this? We use an EPROM programmer. This same technique applies to Motherboards that will not boot to the BIOS or any electronic item that has been 'bricked' with a suspected corrupted BIOS.

I had an easy memory read from a KH 25L 1606E eeprom the other day - using my CH431A. Removed the rom from a small pcb with my Metcal tweezers and "begins with f", after failing to connect with that clip. I then used a clamping soic-pdil adaptor to the zip socket. Quite straightforward, once I decided to do it.

I have a chl8228g mosfet controller chip that I had to replace. I was told that now I need to program it! I have another card I can get the information off of, but I can't figure out which pins and programmer to use. This is a 56 pin chip. Do you know anything about this? So basically sometimes If a fan cooler doesn't turn on, if the computer won't boot, if you tried new power supply, new cpu, new rams, if you grab a tester and check voltages, etc,etc and everythings looks good, then:
This mean the EPROM the chipset corrupted the bios?
what if the everything powers on but no display, no post, but fans are on?
@@Robbie-mw5uu when that happen is because rams got dirty and you need to clean them with alcohol, and then put it back to the motherboard. If that fixed the problem then you are good to go, if not then rams are damaged and you need to replace them with a new pair of ram.
