imagine a dev coming out in the future to say "yeah a lot of these types of 'fixes' we made were actually bullsht and was placebo we were just tired about people complaining about things they 'felt' were wrong with the game so me made it all up"

Well if you actually see there's clips of people getting shot by people they can't see. But yeah, "placebo".
you can tell just by the video the characters animation when swinging is less aggressive, you can actually see whats going on, more responsive. This has been a good update.

I mean yes, but it also introduced lagspikes for many people. My game sometimes randomly freeze for ~2 seconds.
Mine was doing that before the update. Also occasionally crashing when rounding a corner and seeing smoke.
I've never had the rubber-banding issue Flom talked about before, first game after update I got it like 4 times, and one of them was literally like 5 whole steps back
I keep getting occasional dropped packets every 5-10m (notably doesn't happen in dota2 ever, isn't my internet; it's something specific to cs2). the snapshot buffering setting helps a little bit with it, and we're Getting There, but it's definitely still got a couple minor technical issues.
i have a modest amount of faith in volvo to get it done right tho
my game crashes in the worst times, usually followed by that freeze
@@vandrar3n mine has crashed 3 times. Each time it’s a quick peek rounding a corner and then seeing smoke. Game will freeze and go black screen. Can’t recover at all.
My game legit never use to crash but ever since this update I’ve crashed 3-4 times in about 5 hours
I've been having super unsmooth gameplay after the update. Constant micro stutters throughout the whole game.
I'm gonna need a more in depth description of where you are "feeling it" hahaha
Basically, when he is inputting movement, his muscle memory and experience knows exactly what is going to happen on screen and what should happen. However, sometimes when you shoot someone or start getting into gunfights, you notice the rubberbanding effect (probably due to ping) and on such a micro level, during that moment you strafed left but felt your character either A). Not respond or B). Go the other way. This happens almost instantly or within a few frames. I know from experience cause I play on 360hz and every kill I kept getting with this update, there was so much delay, it didn't feel instant. Idk if its cause of my ping or dog pc but this update does feel weird at least for me. Also I noticed when just holding W, I kept feeling the rubberbanding effect more than usual.

24k hours in CS2 and I’m still hovering around 125 😂
They still haven’t fixed custom games or match highlights in demos. If you queue into a custom game everyone but the party leader gets kicked. It’s been like this since September

they should add a vote option in game to disable automatic bans for teamkill and team damage for the rest of the match (on your team) so you dont lose your teammates at round start when youre just having fun
Idk, I was playing when the update dropped. In regards to my own movement, things are terribly laggy, even after all the patches. I rubber band, my nades or weapons don't always switch out when I press my keys. The thing where you throw a nade but it doesn't actually work is happening again. It's just really frustrating. NA servers.
dont get it twisted guys you can still get peeked and destroyed while holding angles, its still the best to jiggle yourself while holding

it's very possible to be placebo since I remember they said they fixed the subtick a while ago and it was still 64 bit and then nothing changed
The concept of sub tick was to ensure smoothness, precision and to have more control over how the game state changes with respective game server. They reduced that peeker's advantage because they had such control after switching to this sub tick model. This would have been impossible to do in csgo. But since we had already adapted csgo as it was. This never came as a bother. So it means..the xantares peek could have never been stopped in csgo. I know there was no need to do this in csgo since the ticks were consistent and everyone had adapted. But as a dev point of view you can even control those types of things using sub tick. Sry fr the long text.
Also. If you turn the tracers off clean up shader cache in directx . You'll notice that there is no placebo and it is actually a little better than before.
Subtick is how the client works, the 64 ticks are for the server. It is possible to fix and change things in the client without changing anything in the server. The tech illiteracy in the CS community sometimes bewilders me.
@@JerryO1995 that is what I said right. If they are not updating the server to 128 ticks but enhancing the subtick capability on client side. That still gives you smoothness and precision. How else do you improve things without changing the server?

I'm honestly not feeling any difference, being wide swang and insta dinked by mp9s/pistols from 50 feet away as soon as the guy moves out of cover and shit (I always have 9 ping max). Valve has faked changes before, they changed the latency display to show a lower number to test what people would say and everyone was like "oh my god it's so much better, I'm not lagging anymore" and they'd have literally changed nothing.
Peek advantage feels worse now.

the game definitely feels better. it was literally unplayable for me with constant stutters and packet loss but now it feels *smooth* and these connection issues that were specific to cs2 are gone
Its the opposite for me. I mean, spraying and mechanics feel better, as well as fights around corners. But now my game gets significantly less FPS and is not nearly as stable as it used to be. Doesn't seem to be a problem with just me either. If they can do something to increase my FPS then Im gonna launch into CS2 again.

I have constant packet loss and teleport in gunfights now... great update.
It's made the game terrible for me. It's like playing with 200 ping or something.
I'm hitting shots I know I missed, and getting zero damage for half a mag into a guy from 10 feet away.
Hopefully it'll come good.

The game is feeling a bit better but Valve really needs to work on the anti-cheat because this game is still infested with those douches.

Doesn't feel any better for me. Before and after the update sometimes the game plays perfect, other times rubberbanding and peekers advantage is so painful. Today it was on the better end of the spectrum, but my molly still rubberbanded back into my hand on nuke ramp while defending B site, and on inferno the second half of my game was plagued with peekers advantage. All I can say is that for me it doesn't feel worse at least. But the issues with everything still feel kind of random. I play with 35 ping, and it's just hit or miss when the problems arise .

It feels like they went to 64 tick. The subtick registering hits on the tick before sounds like the recipe for rubber banding and the game feeling sticky. (Disclaimer I have no clue what I’m talking about)

The game feels better, Premier felt a bit better. I'm about to hop in a Faceit game. I can say that I can awp once again, I haven't been able to AWP since starting CS2. Just hit 10k in Prem too so I'm curiouis if the update will help push me a bit higher in rating. Curious how the update will be on 128 tick.
But faceit has the same "sub"tick tick rate. It's hard coded in the game.

The hacker problem is industry wide, if there was a fast and effective solution it would have been found by now. It's frustrating but we are going to have to be patient.

Welcome to fucking online gaming I guess? The only way to remove peekers' advantage completely is playing on LAN, you can't just code the laws of physics out of your game. Either deal with it or go play Animal Crossing.

It’s funny because, no1 seems to remember the Ferrari peeks in csgo. There were tons of times were you would get absolutely destroyed by some1 that you could never react to.

can't make it a better game, phsyics are trash, and somehow with 20 years experience and the last decade of csgo being the game with the highest % of players cheating out of its entire player base than any title to date, and somehow still make a worse anticheat than the previous title, not only does the game feel and play worse, but theres even more cheaters now than before.
this fixed nothing. played one game, got me some headers from russian 100 h accounts while they were running, time to wait a few months for the next update i guess. dont even care anymore if its because of networking issues with ping differences or actual cheating. i just wish csgo back with all the gamemodes, the cheater bans and the better matchmaking.
