Manitou Incline | Barr Trail - Barr Camp | Colorado Hiking

We did the Manitou Incline with packs to the 1800 step mark and took the bailout trail to get on the Barr Trail to Barr Camp for the first night. My heart rate was over 160 the whole way up and was very hard to catch my breath from the high altitude. I decided to take it easy on day two while the guys went up to the Peak, but I met them just below the treeline to descend together. We crashed early again on the 2nd evening after a big spaghetti dinner provided by the Barr Camp staff. We had a great hike back down on day three with perfect weather and much less traffic on the trail.
