Hello . My son left to BMT few days ago .. was curious how is mail call done in the airforce bootcamp ? Is Sunday only day they get mail and get to write letters ? Thank you for your videos helps us as parents as well to know what our babies day will be like
They should be able to write letters during any down time however when mail is passed out to trainees is very sporadic and at MTI discretion, but about once or twice a week (ish lol)
As a 39 year old, almost 40, seeking waiver for the army or Air Force what should I expect different from the young lads? I did my test yesterday and got a 75. I got good line scores though with the lowest was 106. I will go do MEPS next week.
@@dwayneplummer12 I’m the same age as well planning to take my ASVAB but still studying for the math portion trying to get that together and be confident so I can score good as well
@@FitnessKoko14 The math part was actually the easiest part to me as it was mainly reasoning and simple formulas. The auto comprehension and the electrical parts were quite challenging to me because I have never done any of those things in school
Do they have an Episcopalian service? I'm just asking for gp. I'm Episcopalian, which falls kinda between both Protestant and Catholic. Either way, I'm sure I'll be good.
Hello! So I grew up Episcopalian as well (specifically A.M.Episcopalian) and so when I went they did not but hopefully it is an option soon or a similar service is made available in 2021!
@@michaelainman wow!! That's awesome that you can relate! I'm looking forward to the overall experience. If they haven't integrated an Episcopal service, I think the Catholic services will suffice.
Would you say BMT is manageable for shy people? Or more challenging since most of us get stressed when we’re being yelled at? Also, are you able to go to more than one service on Sunday?
BMT is manageable for shy people AS LONG AS one can build up the confidence to respond to MTIs in the moments when they are yelling at us. Just be able to answer their questions and pretty much all the rest of BMT people are able to keep a low profile haha
@@michaelainman Okay, I did a lot of sports with coaches who yell so I think I'll be okay I just tend to get really mad at myself for messing up hahah THANK YOU!!
I ASKED THE SAME QUESTION. When I was in BMT there wasn't a Baptist/Pentecostal/AME/(you get what I'm getting at lol) church service available but hopefully in 2021 that will change! :D
Hey, do you regret going into the air force enlisted? I’m considering enlisting and just got my degree in broadcasting. I just want to get different perspectives. Is it that much of a difference?
Hey Sergio, if you've spent at least 6 months to a year pursuing a job in your degree-related field (broadcast journalism) and it hasn't worked out then I definitely understand looking to the USAF or one of the other branches for job stability and to launch a career - However - definitely have a solid plan on which jobs you're open to and what you hope to make out of your time in service. With no plan.. you'll feel lost and trapped... and if you commission instead of Enlist... you'll still feel lost and trapped if you don't have a plan going in. Hope this helps!
@@michaelainman thanks for your insight Michael! I’m contemplating the reserves or ANG as I’m currently freelancing for cbs and ESPN. It sounds fun but jobs are inconsistent and offer no benefits 😫
@@iEatMunsters It sounds very fun but I totally get the desire for consistency and the great job benefits provided by the military! Before joining the USAF I actually interned for Disney/ABC and ESPN was right across the street lol
When I went they didn't... they also didn't have a gospel service (e.g. pentacostal, AME, baptist, etc.) but they did have a contemporary protestant one which wasn't bad in my opinion
@@michaelainman thank you for your input. My granddaughter wants to enlist and she is very involved in the church. She will be 17 on August 27th of this year. She got a 77 Aftq score on the ASVAB.
I'm not positive on the specifics but I do remember there being religious accommodations available for trainees! Recruiters and MTIs can provide specific answers for each religion. Hope that helps!
Hi Michael! My son is finishing WOT 1 tomorrow and I got a quick 5 minute call from him yesterday. He’s doing great but was emotional from not talking to family for 8 days. Are phone calls usually helpful or do they make it harder for trainees?
Yes and no. Yes meaning you can have them in your civilian luggage and store them for tech school (wouldn't reccomend bringing too much), no meaning you won't be authorized to read them or store them in your wall locker security drawer or your backpack during the duration of BMT. I believe there's exemptions for religious texts, but that is a question for your MTI. If you've already shipped to bmt then disregard the reply.
Even when your talking about something boring I feel inclined to listen, I really like your content man
Hahaha thank you, Sir! I'll try to get better at cutting out the boring stuff nonetheless! :)
That bag and flip flop thing is sooo smart!!!
I can watch these videos all day. Cant wait to join The Air Force this summer!
Aww thanks, Adam! Best of luck on your enlistment process!
Love that they are offering Wiccan services. They didn't when I was in Army basic but that was in 2001.
Thanks for the videos! It’s really smart to look at other belief systems.
Just recently found your Chanel and love it keep up with the good work!!
Appreciate the info thank you for the constant weekly content
My pleasure, Sir!!
I love you videos!! They’re so entertaining
Thank you!!

Usually, they are really great Spirit rechargers! If that's a thing haha
Is dagre spec ops? Everywhere I look it says they are but I thought they weren't. HELP
So I'm unfamiliar with that term but a local recruiter should be able to answer your question. Thanks for checking out the video!
Can you attend multiple services a day?

Do you purchase your own shower shoes flip flops
Nope, those are provided in your initial supplies issue upon arrival!
I love your videos, they're so informative!👍🏻
Please make them a bit faster/shorter though, I watch them at 1.25x usually.
Good info but videos are sooo hard to sit through
