Good review. If I get that issue with the auto parking brake then I would manually set the brake before you shift into park. If you are putting tension on the parking pall in the transmission then that is not a good thing.
How did you get a sun roof without the premium?
Everything with these new Gen 4's are nice....however just the Turbo on a 4cyl will most likely have issues .

The 4 cyl turbo has been used globally for many years, also the Lexus NX has been using this same motor configuration for a long time
Like I said on a different channel the only thing that comes standard is the stupid passenger side grab handle the new one they added on the roof by the passenger window. Come on toyota don't be so cheap.
It’s a nice truck, but the value just isn’t there compared to everything else in the midsize segment. You can get a similarly equipped Ford, GM, or Nissan for thousands less, and you can actually order what you want. Also better performance specs on the GM and Ford.
70’s on 7. Great choice!
I'm seeing 21.1 mpg combined over 1800 miles
Another great video. Always nice hearing from someone who drives what they sell. Unfortunately I was waiting on TRD Off-Road Hybrid (with 6' bed) but doesn't look like they'll be offered in 24 (only available in 5' bed ?). I have a Cabover camper and definitely would like the additional torque/HP with the Hybrid. Maybe for 2025
Nice for first time Tacoma, but not for me. I had 4 new Tacomas over the years and last new one was 2023, since it was the last year for V6 engine. Sorry, V4 on a truck seem very silly.
I set up the ebreak to manual instead of it activating every time I put the truck in park. I leave it in neutral, then activate the ebreak, then shift to park and that way I don’t have tension when shifting into reverse afterwards.
Thanks for the feedback. Great idea. 👍
250 miles on a full tank cant be right, right? whats the range on a full tank you are seeing?
About 285. The gauge shows full for about 45 miles, and then starts to go down. It’s a slightly smaller tank this year. Wish they had made it larger instead of smaller.
Thanks for all the info! Where in the Northwest are you located?
Springfield Or.
Won't these turbo's have issues with overheating if you tow?
Great question. TFL trucks did an interview with chief engineer Sheldon Brown. They had a chasis with just the motor and transmission. Your question came up, and he explained how they have a 3” water inlet thru the motor to help keep it cool. I’ll see if I can find the video for you.

How much$$$?
TSRP was $51,400 for the TRD Off-Road upgrade package with the bed step, and spray on bed liner
