It’s cramped, way overpriced, inefficient hybrid that’s still slow, and there’s nothing it does better than the competition. You cant just make a new product without surpassing rivals. Thats R&D and time completely wasted
I Totally have to agree with your assessment, Because as an owner of a 2020 Black Edition Ridgeline, I was expecting this, > $55,000 13 Camera Tacoma to be better at every Way, Over My Wife's Ridgeline , Well it just doesn't, #1 it's Way slower none V6 Naturally aspirated engine, #2 It has No room in the Rear seating area, Sure it will go off road, But it doesn't even do that well, Especially from the Video TFL did on the one breaking the front shift coller or whatever snapped, Not even doing anything special except it being a hill. 😅
these 4 doors are too long to be an off road king tho, you need something tight. unless you are in a desert a 2 door wrangler is still king of an offroad trail just because it can do a 3 point turn the tightest. and comeon driving through a mudpuddle in a parking lot is not going offroad.
Yes the 3rd gen front end looks awful looking compared to this 2024. The 2024 looks much cleaner looking in the front,than the 3rd gen front bottom lip sticking out was a bad piss pore design front bumper

To be fair, 2024 Tacoma does offer 6 foot beds on TRD Offroad, Sport, Prerunner, SR5, SR as long they are not hybrids.

Weird, I found the engine to be a lot better than the previous generation.
It is better but who knows what the long term reliability will be .
Any of these Tacoma's are great. Greater if you wait two years as well.
