I was recently diagnosed and I'm struggling to overcome mental illness. I wanted to thank you for your videos that are so beautifully done. My wife and I are preparing to go on the road and live the van life and you have been an inspiration to both of us. You've also been there when I have been trying to find a way forward. God bless you, brother.
It is a privilege to feel like this journey was made just for me. Chad is like that friend you want. I feel like I should have chipped in for fuel. Thank you so much, Chad, for taking all of us along . I life long dream came true.
Thank you so much for taking us to the Arctic 🥶 We love all your videos! I have a Q. How does the drone survive out in those frigid Temps? And....do you have to get permission to fly over the pipeline?
Chad - Your personal motivations for taking road trips are truly inspiring. It is evident that this journey means a lot to you and your passion is truly admirable. Your dedication to excellence is all over every production!
The scenery is unreal. It’s so beautiful and majestic but yet deadly. I was in awe of how vast the landscape was and I was getting anxiety of how cold it is. Chad thank you for taking us along your adventures.
Happiness starts with yourself and a deep understanding of who you are and what you like and don’t like! I think your finest video yet, Chad! Thanks for bringing us on your journey!
You do a great job of telling the story with amazing cinematography and photos. Being alone while doing this is a lot of work. It also takes a lot of skill for these captures. Thanks for sharing it with us.
The footage you capture with your drone while simultaneously driving is just extraordinary. Been watching your channel for many years and have loved the evolution of your skills and capabilities but you still maintain the excellent commentary and friendly feel of your older videos early on with the Volkswagen
i wrote down the quote, “when you sit at home and anticipate how hard something might be, its easy to talk yourself out of those things (or those challenges), but, if you actually hurl yourself into the unknown, you push your limits, you can actually unlock special things within your heart, within your soul.” Chad, you are such an inspiration to me in so many ways and your videos have provided me with a wonderful source of motivation and encouragement as well as comfort and happiness for you and your continual successes. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into the Van Life, not just for all of us but for yourself. Keep on trucking!!!
I think everyone has said it but the cinematography, narration, production, content. You feel like you are really there. Unparalleled work Chad...bar none and that includes all the pros.
I have learned more about myself traveling solo in my van than I thought possible. I am improving daily. Your videos are inspiring. Thank you for hearing your adventures.
Chad, after episode five, I don't even know if there are any more words that I haven't said in comments during previous episodes. I think I can only repeat myself when I say thank you so much for allowing me (and us) to join you again this time on this adventure full of spectacular scenery and excitement. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday!!🎄I can't wait to see the next episode as well!
OMG....Chad! Your message to us as you watched the sunset brought tears to my eyes😢 and touched my ❤️. I wish these young people I worked with heard that message that you only need to prove stuff to you and no one else. You're a beautiful man. I've waited patiently for each episode, as I'm sure all of your followers have. Thank you for the breathtaking views and for taking us along on the journey! Prayers 🙏 🙏 🙏
I feel that passion and touching moment through the small screen, and we speak different languages、living space and even religion. But no word can describe how I feel seeing this Mother Nature❤ thank you so much, Chad. Love and respect from Taiwan.🇹🇼
I'm 76 and you inspire me. I truly believe that your never to old to dream. Now, I'm sure I'll never have the opportunity to make the same trip as you. What I can do is watch you and dream about it. I want to thank you for giving an older man, not old but, older man dream dreams. Ne careful going home.
Hello Dean. Thank you for the wonderfully kind words. Much appreciated. I’m so happy to hear that journeys and adventures like this help inspire you. That truly means so much. Thank you for watching. And thanks for being part of the channel.
No better feeling than being home under a nice warm blanket in the safety of our homes and being able to watch videos like this makes you feel that much better. Keep up the amazing work Chad ☝🏼
Spectacular, breath-taking, unprecedented, the cinematography and editing are without peer. What a wonderful treat for those of us who can only dream of such an adventure.
every time i feel bored, i just open youtube and watch Chad's adventures.. It feels like I'm doing those adventures myself. Many thanks bro.. you are right.. prove it to yourself, not to others 👍
Thanks for including route map segments in the last coupe of edits! This roadtrip is no joke! Living vicariously through you at the moment - but this kinda trip is on my bucket list!
I’ve been pushing this video off because I knew I needed 36:55 mins of uninterrupted time lol. Absolutely awesome Chad!! Thank you for bringing us along on this adventure. 🤘
To All of us from only you. You keep on giving, footage phenomenal, story telling timed perfectly and just gets better and better. I read trough most comments and they are just great where people really put sensitive and positive words in. Let's all give something back. Share so we can get to 1 million, support the channel in anyway you can. Simply. We want more. Hehe.
I'm glad it wasn't the heater itself that was broken. I would be inclined to have a back up heater when you do these arctic trips. Yay for the easy fix!
My Sprinter is totally my "walk about" facilitator. I had to smile when you said that. The other thing was when you said “when you sit at home and anticipate how hard something might be, it's easy to talk yourself out of those things". I've been doing a bit of that lately and needed to hear this. Thanks for another great episode. I'm glad we didn't need to read about you freezing to death on the Tundra when your heat went out. ;)
I just found your channel. I watched a few minutes of your first Arctic adventure and ended up watching everything you've made from the very start. I'm hooked! And I am thoroughly enjoying every one of your masterpieces! I'd love to think of myself as "adventurous", and maybe sometime earlier I was. Unfortunately, I also managed to clip my own wings somewhere along the way. Sadly, but not finally. I may not be able to drive to the Arctic, but your films have managed to help me come "face to face" with some of the most beautiful mountains in the North, at extreme heights even. I'm sure it's nothing compared to actually being there in person, but it was awesome none the less. You have an artistic eye for film and photography, and the wonderful stories and information to captivate the senses. Your timing is perfect and we'll balance. Thank you for your words of Wisdom. You've inspired me to remember I still have my own wings to flex and unfurl, and that it's never too late to start using them again...
That was an awesome journey and to end it off with that almost fatal diesel heater failure, now that's some real Steven King stuff. You really had me sitting on the edge of my chair. Well done.
Glad you figured your diesel heater out, had my diesel gel up one time in my Webasto in Whitehorse when I filled up in Seattle (diesel #1) and then forgot diesel #1 doesn't have cold weather additive like #2 does lol
Awesome video as always Chad. These adventures to the Arctic are so spectacular and so amazing. You really capture the beauty of the landscape thru your films. It's been a real privilege to ride along on theses amazing adventures.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful van life with me. I love everything about this channel. The scenery, the meals you cook, the footage, hearing your heart and your why behind it all. You get it and live the real abundant life. God bless you, and Merry Christmas!
Chad, thanks so much because many of us will never have that wonderful experience but, through your cammera and hard work we have almost lived this experience. This is a great job done.
OMG!!! amazing drone shots, congratulations on achieving your goal and thanks for documenting it for us, viewers. Admiration and envy that you accomplished this in winter!
Amazed at the beauty this earth has to offer for our adventures and appreciation of this world and life. Thank you for sharing your journey, what a beautiful gift you share.
WOW, Thank you Chad for bringing us, What spectacular scenery Those mountains are amazing and landscape in general so rugged and isolated Unbelievable!, You are truly blessed to experience this. Hope all went well through the night , look forward to the video. watching from Ontario Canada
This was my favourite video of the series. Main reason, we saw some real personality and humour come through for you Chad. I feel sometimes the commentary can be a little robotic and repetitive. This one feels like you went a bit ofd script, which was great. Epic adventure, loved it! 🤙🏼
Your cinematography and general quality of episodes have continued to get better and better. They are definitely professional level now. I really appreciate the effort. Thanks.
Thank you, Thank you & Thank you for taking all of us on this journey. I don’t have the knowledge or the courage to take up such a winter-time adventure.
Stunning, captivating, mesmerising. So many times the adjective ‘awesome’ is misused - but on this trip it’s the right word to describe the scenery! What joy to sort out the heater problem!!
Thankyou very much Chad for sharing this amazing journey of yours with us .As you said" getting out of your comfort zone " that is what made it possible for us to see . All the way from South Africa not even our Freezer rooms get so cold . One thing for sure you must know and understand Van's setup very well . Enjoy your Van life .
my dad worked on the pipeline in 1975-76. he was at pump station #4 in the Brooks range. he left cassette tapes and photos with him talking about working and living there at the time. it is SO COOL to see this!!! I had hopes of one day seeing it for myself but im in Arizona. long long way away and im not big on solo travel! Thank You.
Thanks Chad, Incredible adventure. The starkness of the landscape, the black and white scenery is amazing. Your describing the research and preparation that goes into an adventure of this magnitude is very cool. As I watch your experience, I’m reminded of a few of my own adventures. The night in remote northern Minnesota when I had a furnace failure in my FWC at -35 degrees F in my camper. I woke up to bitter temperatures in camper. Like you I hit the remote start on my gas powered F350. As I scrambled to get warmer clothes on, the cab of the pickup was warming up. I was able to rectify the issue in the furnace switch and get the furnace fired back up. My 6 days of dispersed camping with temps well below 0 taught me the importance of backup systems and proper precautions for the worst case scenario. I have watched your experiences and can truly appreciate your efforts and the locations that you have shared. Adventure on!
Wow! Chad that was very scary. Thank God you found the problem quickly and it was a simple fix. Hope nothing else arises doing you trip back home. We are all watching in any case, You just keep downloading your video and keep your subscriber up to date with any potential life threatening situation. We will defiantly find a way to have everyone in the FIND AND RESCUE service to get to you as quickly as possible. Hope that it won’t come to that. God be with you. 👍
Chad you truly are magical!! You do things people only think of!! Second round with artic circle!! Can’t wait to watch video! Plus you play the best music!! I watched round 1. Looking forward to round 2!
Drove the Dalton Highway from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay in 2013. I remember every single place. Thanks for these awesome memories. Great movie. Greets from munich, Germany.
Epic journey brought to life, with incredible cinematography. Been watching this channel since the early days of the Vanagon, but the film-making and the vehicle are both now next-level.
This is bloody grouse Chad. You cracked me up when you said, Now what do I do. I thought the same once when I tracked across Australia from south to north.
I was recently diagnosed and I'm struggling to overcome mental illness. I wanted to thank you for your videos that are so beautifully done. 💯 feel the same , it’s like he does them for you personally and that you’ve been palls for ever .
Absolutely, this trip is not a joke.
Thank you so much for taking us to the Arctic 🥶 We love all your videos!
I have a Q. How does the drone survive out in those frigid Temps? And....do you have to get permission to fly over the pipeline?
Same to many, who would love to do it themselves but they just cannot do it for various reasons. I watch every single post of this channel.

Totally agree. He is the best 👌
What an amazing experience, and you got a sunny day too. Beautiful video. Very profound.
