    I also have a RAI Motorsports downpipe with high flow cat.

    This is the best exhaust sound demo video I've ever seen on YT period. Let alone for the vw 2.5 5-cylinder. All exhaust demos should be just like this one! I subbed because of it. Much appreciated and cheers from Houston, Texas! 😎👍

    Does it have bad droning on highways this is my daily driver and I plan on driving this everywhere. But also locally. Cross country and to the local beaches. I like loud

    • @PacificRacer
      @PacificRacer  3 роки тому +4

      If you like loud, then you will like it. As for the drone, it only really drones bad around 60mph in 5th gear while cruising. Even then, its not to bad. Before i got my bigger downpipe, the drone was even less.
      This car was my daily for about 3 or 4 years. The sound was very easy to live with. If you drive it light and accelerate smooth, the sound can be very reasonable. At medium to full throttle it can get pretty loud at the higher rpm range. And thats why i loved this exhaust so much. The sound is very easy to control.
      I have gone on a few road trips with it, ranging from 3 hour drives to 6 hour drives with my wife in the car. 75mph roads are very reasonable sound wise, and i can still have a conversation with out raising my voice. Mountain passes however can be loud. But i mean, who is going to take a mountain pass slow with an exhaust that sounds this good.

    hey man. I have a rabbit 5 speed with an AWE exhaust and I'm trying to make the pops and bangs louder. Would you say the down pipe does a good job with that or do you recommend a tune. I already get small ones here and their just want to make them louder and more noticeable.

    • @PacificRacer

      @@chadxferguson7966 Check out Integrated Engineering. I got their Power Package that comes with tune (redline now at 7200 RPPM), air intake manifold, and cold air intake. I had that for a while and you can really hear the niceness, even without the upgraded exhaust. Then about 6 months later I put on the AWE exhaust, and nice pops and bangs galore, I think...
      I freaking love my Rabbit but it's not stock anymore. I am thinking of getting a 2008 Jetta, or a MK6 Golf with the 5 cylinder, just to have around. And they are both cheap as chips. This might be because people like the turbo engine better coz you can mod it a bit easier?

      I have only heard two MagnaFlow systems. One on a mk5 Jetta and another on a mk6 Golf. Both did not have resonators and had pretty bad drone and a little raspy on the top end. I think if they would have had a resonator they would have been on the same level as the AWE system
