quite an interesting engine option for a golf 5 , i think only us market got that engine
Came in both the MK5 and MK6 on North America. They're everywhere and engines are $200. Lol
@@COMotorsports I saw some engines for cheap a while back and last night I checked they were 1000 bucks with 150k miles !! My rabbit has 175k
Link an engine please
Its the close up of the bird shit for me 💯
B-roll professional's
What exhaust y’all go with?
Why would you put a slower detonating fuel in a n/a ? Do these have high compression? My experience is high octane detonates slower and you use that for force induction or high compression engines.
Although I agree, it's all it calls for from factory.
Hi mate great video can I ask you a question I’m thinking of doing a secondary set of injectors on my mk5 golf tfsi 2.0 I know on one of your videos that you were talking about doing it can I ask how or what you need to do it ? Or do you have a video of you doing it and if you do could you send me the link to the video cheers 👍
The key is figuring out what you want to use to control them.
I'm trying to replace the exhaust on my 07 Rabbit. What are some good brands and how much should is a good price to pay for the part and labor?
All depends on quality of parts, and labor rates in your area. Also expect that the studs are rusted to nothing (depending on where you are) so expect some extra time for that.
What exhaust setup is that?
Put a tune on the damn thang!!!!
Run NGK 5960 plugs. It will pull even more timing. OE laser platinum for 05-07 is too hot.
The uk never got that engine. First time I have ever known about it!
It's really good and everywhere here.
What exhaust was it?
I have a question. What size tubing is the oem pipe vs the new one? Or were they both the same size? You mentioned a new exhaust but didn't say anything about the diameters. So I'm just curious.
2.5" on this one. Stock is smaller.
@@COMotorsports ok thanks. I think his car is a 2007 since my rabbit is also a 2007 and according to the specs this year makes 150 hp. I believe the 2008 they changed to the 170hp. My car is about the same as his, all stock but 4 doors.
@@myshots101 There is a difference between wheel hp and crank hp... keep that in mind also.
@@COMotorsports I stand corrected. I guess I was just thinking of the year specs when I heard 150hp. By the way great videos. I have just started watching your channel.
@@myshots101 thanks, appreciate you following along.
I ran high octane fuel, the highest that Canada offers from the pump, and it did nothing but fawk with my mk4 golf's 02 censors. I currently run a mk5 09 rabbit and have yet to put "supreme" in it for fear of the same thing happening.
That's a coincidence, and nothing more.
@@COMotorsports cool beans, thanks for the info.
What’s type of exhaust is this I have been needing one for my 2.5 2011 that’s not over 700 dollars
Good luck, metals expensive
Please dyno with 91.
Link the parts?
I can’t wait to see the laughs when I bring my 58 Beetle supercharged/EFI “40 hp” to the dyno. I’m hoping I will be the new low hp record. I’m thinking 70hp/95 lb ft? But percentage wise over stock, that’s a lot for a driver
We just had a really crappy one on there.. it'll be hard to beat. lol
I thought later 07k had 170hp stock. Bit dissapointing. But that engine sounds great with new exhaust.
This is measured at the wheels, which is different then crank HP.
Thats 08 + models
Needs more goodies
I just got a 08 2.5 5 speed. Im a truck guy with the bad roads in northern Arizona. Ive owned many vehicles over the years. I just want slow and reliable and 29mpg 😂😂 I im used to torque and turbo and diesel-powered trucks. This car has torque but its slow if that makes sense 😢
It's basically the most base module VW offered, all of what you're saying is expected lol
@@COMotorsports i like the gas milage for sure. These cars dont seem to be real common herw
Where did you buy the exhaust?
CO Motorsports
You gents planning on going to imports vs domestics in Maryland next week?
HECK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@COMotorsports bringing any merch, shipping to the US is insane.
@@jerrysroka997 email us with what you want. We can bring it.
@@COMotorsports sent email let me know if I need to place order online
@@jerrysroka997 Hey Jerry, I had emailed you back, maybe it went to your spam or maybe you're just not interested anymore. However we're leaving in a couple of days and if you're still interested in getting something let us know what and what sizes ASAP.
Mine is stage 1IE 93 octane and cold air intake and both mufflers deleted idk what the power is I would say close to 200hp
Not at the wheels it isn't
I did 167whp with cai, high flow cat midpipe and larger exhaust. I later got a um tune but I never dynoed. I'd say 175-180whp at best (fast enough to smoke a 2.0 brz with an intake lol). Fun enough in first and second and sounds amazing which makes it unique. No means is it fast though.
Can all vw Mk5 models be tuned
I would say yes, in NA anyways.
Have you guy's put a turbo in a 2.5l
lots
@COMotorsports It must be an old video...I'll keep looking.
Love to get my mk6 TDI on there and make a whopping 140 hp haha
