Great install. I installed in the same car. I zipped tied the device to the inside top of the glove compartment. Keeps it clean and out of the way and gives me access. I did need to reset it twice in the first month, so I preferred to have easy access
I will ask again just so my Question is visible. Why does he hook up the 3 wires when it is 100% not necessary? It would turn many people off DiYing it!! Have a Cushie Day!!
My Landcruiser bottom modules are different from the video. In the video he has Am-sat, Fm, Disc-Aux and scan . I have AM, FM, Disc and TA is the product still compatable with my Landcruiser 2009?
Yes it should work as long as the stereo has factory navigation. You can also send us the photo of your stereo to the email support at gromaudio.com We will review it and let you know. Please email the photo of the stereo and screen while the stereo is playing in FM mode.
I need help. I bought a Vline 2 unit and installed as instructed. My Land Cruiser is 2015 model, and it has no Disc button. How can I activate/choose VLine interface to use it?
Hello, I saw your VLine installation video on the 2008 Toyota Land cruiser V8, and I decided to purchase this system. CarPlay on this vehicle is great. However I have some "bugs"! Sometimes the system no longer responds correctly, especially the sound that cuts out and the image that no longer responds to touch! I had my VLine installed at Toyota who were not aware of this system, and I took care to send them your video for the installation. But I wonder if the VLine connection has been made on the DVD input as you explain. Is there at the back of the DVD block another entry which could have been used by mistake and thus generate the bugs observed. And in this case should the connection be made to the port as you describe? With thanks. Best regards. G.D
More information is needed to help you. When you say the system does not respond, is it when you run CarPlay or the other app installed directly on VLine? If that is the app that is installed directly on VLine, check your internet connection. I recommend you to contact our technical team at gromaudio.com/support.html They will help.
Hello, Thanks for your response. Sometimes CarPlay disconnects and the following message appears: "CarPlay has stopped working due to a poor Internet connection". While on my iPhone the 4G connection is present! What do you think? My other question concerns the input on the back of the DVD player. Do you have to go through the entrance you used during installation? my vehicle is the same. Thanks. Best regards.
You can try to restart the iPhone and see if that will help. The other you can do is to fully reset the CarPlay connection between VLine and iPhone, and reconnect again. Please check here how to: ua-cam.com/video/a8VVVxwnW5k/v-deo.html Regarding to the DVD player I do not fully understand your question. For the installation please make sure that you carefully follow to the install instructions, as shown here: gromaudio.com/docs/vline_manuals/installation_lex5_web.pdf
Yes you can install the VLine VL2 system into the Lexus LX 570 2009. The stereo must have the factory LCD touchscreen, to be compatible. Check here what is compatible with your specific stereo: gromaudio.com/store/all-toyn_lex5_.html We will make the video once we get a hold of such vehicle.

If I understand correctly the passage of the video where the installer speaks of the 3 wires is not relevant? The harness supplied with the VLine is fully wired and connects without modification! Thank you for your answer, I live in France where Grom Audio has no distributors or installers and I will therefore do the installation...myself.

please make a new vid. the unnecessary splicing of wires for no reason is putting many people off. It is 100% not needed! Blue plug in the screen. 12 pin in the player below. ready to test! I have sold hundreds of them but I don't like sharing this. And I don't work on cars anymore! 🕺🏽🕺🏽
please explain how misleading this video is. The wire splicing shown here is 100% unnecessary!!! One plug in to the back of the screen. one plug in to the player below. done!!! Also the instructions are for a Lexus which is fine but the 12 pin harness plugs in to an empty socket on Sahara It's not behind the screen it's lower down on the player. if something is plugged in there make sure it's not an aftermarket accessory for an ipod etc

Please send us a photo of your stereo while playing in FM mode, to the email address support at gromaudio.com We will review and let you know.
Can it split screen? Can I see the nav and music at the same time?
You can see the music controls, but you cannot see the actual player if you are in NAV.
Seems easy but also kinda not! 😆 I think my husband would have a heart attack if he came out and saw the cruiser’s entertainment system gutted!
Of course it depends on someone's technical ability. Also there are plenty of car stereo installation shops that can perform the install.
