I can personally testify that Erics method of training works and works FAST! I came to Eric for help with a huge GSD that I had just adopted. He was leash reactive and knocked me down upon seeing another dog on one of our first walks. His bark is LOUD and he's very talkative. Terrified my grandkids who stopped coming by to see me because they were afraid of him. Erics training not only gave me the confidence I needed with my boy but also showed me how to get him to stop the negative behaviour. He's a smart dog and learned real quick what not to do. Erics training does not hurt the dogs - his reasoning makes perfect sense and it works. Thank you Eric!! The Grandkids are now coming over to swim and my boy is showing them he can be a gentlemen!! Night and day with him.

I was trained by Eric, his techniques work and have resulted in a marvelous and obedient German Shepherd. I receive compliments on her behavior all the time.

This video is spot on!! Eric is BEST dog trainer ever!! Our 4th trainer & attempt at having our Australian Shepard & Poodle mix behave well. We were hesitant to use punishment as we love our dogs, but Eric is a great teacher & taught us how to train our dog well! She now has a much better quality of life and rarely needs to be corrected.

As always my friend, a great video....BUT...this was more than great...it was awesome. It is a subject that so many people do not understand. I will share and hope many will, also. I have raised my dogs with your guidance since 2007 and have not, ever, had a problem with any of them. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and Rachael, Scarlett, and Spencer. Y'all hold a special place in my heart.

My grandkids are being raised in Finland. Punishment is not allowed.Children in class can talk on the phone get up and walk around, , swear at the teachers and there is no consequence. As a result many children don’t feel safe. I have spoken with those who feel that dogs should only be trained with positive reinforcement. They say the dog will hate them or not love them ,at the very least, if they do anything negative. I feel that the methods I have been taught by Eric have deepened my relationship with my dog. He respects me and knows that I have taught him how to be safe and happy in the world of people and I have learned how to understand the subtle language of “ dog”. I’ve had 5 dogs before this one but I feel the closest bond with Ryder because I have been educated. I have been trained to understand how dogs think and and act and why. It was so easy

I have been receiving Eric’s emails and watching his videos for years. As someone trained in behavioural modification at the degree level, I find his videos great and refreshing. Bullying is a perfect example!! I have seen the schools talk about the perpetrators’ rights for years; first with a child and now with a grandchild. The bullies have more rights. Punishment has a place in any training. Naturally, torture and excessive “punishment”, really aggression do not. Keep up the great work!! Too bad people put on blinders not to listen to other opinions on why punishment IS part of any modification.

@@eletendre1 Master Eric, you are most welcome. We watched this episode on our in house theatrical big screen well done. Just remember the online algorithms on UA-cam . The higher number the viewership globally the lower the reported numbers and the higher, especially the ridiculously high number of supposed view for ridiculous content is always algorithmically fabricated.🤩❤️🙏🐶

Anyone who says "always" or "never" lives in a dream world. The NEVER punishment crew and those who say you HAVE TO punish both live in that world. Don't abuse but use the tools available PROPERLY.

He is dead on! Balanced training ( rewards & punishment ) is the best approach! Use what works and discard what doesn’t!
Have a springer doodle who was out of control. With no distractions he was great , but the lake was just too big a distraction. Working with a e- collar on just the recall issue he really turned around. As soon as he came I would grant more freedom. So he wasn’t punished for returning ( also treated when he returned).

When i went to training with my favorite local trainer, honestly, i was shocked with the punishment AT FIRST... but guess what- after a few sessions my dog would hit me on the knee with her nose after 10 minutes on a walk if I did not give her instructions and commands (we were told to practice 10 min per day). She just loves it and has loved it ever since.
