When a really good Player is playing and narrating his thoughts, chess seems so simple and almost transparent. You're just sitting there watching and thinking to yourself "oh yeah that's really obvious, I would totally have come up with the same idea" And then you jump into your own shitty 1200 game and they bring out the queen on move 4 and you just got NOTHING
@@100SideDiceWhat about when you don’t have any obvious solid moves? Like either low piece count or like just a completely solid defense on both sides (where both me and them are just strong and have equal middle ground)
I crossed 1100 twice to almost 1150 and then got kicked backed below 1100 . It's a very sad. How did you join 1500? I dont find any details, cost schedule etc. anywhere. It's just a waiting list.

Back to under 1700, frustrating doesn’t begin to describe how I am feeling. Why does this happen without fail, you go on a winning spree then lose like 20 games in a row. I have forgotten how to play. So angry
Why not White play pawn g3 at 1:45:40, kicking the Black Queen immediately? I am a new player and think maybe there is something I’m missing, and I feel like the simple Pawn g3 stops any of @Chess Vibes Knight g4 ideas. But I suck at 145 so I know I gotta be missing something. A little help?
In almost every game, I play you see that ruy Lopez bishop pinning the knight 3rd move. When is the right time to kick the bishop and should you ever play the second pawn move forcing the bishop back further. This Is a situation I see in 75% of my games and I’d like to know some of your feelings on what to do with it
58:47 Nothing wrong with that random number generator: repetitions in a random sequence are not as unlikely as our flawed human intuition would have us believe. The only real cure is doing the maths but some simple coin toss experiments might also help convince.
ahh, you had a beutiful tactic that you missed in game three (i think), when your opponent (masterliner, like 50 min. in) played h3, if you played e5, deflecting the dark square bishop away from protection of the pond on g3, and opening op for the ultimate fork of the queen and the king with your knight on e4. would have been sooo nice!
Not sure of I'm calculating correctly but wouldn't e5 just lose the pawn? E5 does not deflect the f4 bishop. White would just take the kinght and threaten the queen. And if queen recaptured this would just become a queen trade and still leave the e5 pawn hanging.
That first game, certainly that persons a cheater no, 2300 ELO on a 6 month account? It's either cheating or smurfing - or is 2300 elo in 6 months of chess play a normal thing? I'm pretty new so still a bit unsure on timelines of progression, but that seems insane
Really enjoy these videos! Do you have any ambitions to improve event further / go for IM norms or anything like that? Not that i think you should or anything just curious wether or not that is something you are considering?
Oh my God I laughed so hard when you blundered that mate. I'd be already screaming, cursing my bloodline and blame my mother for giving birth to a failure LOL. I am only 1800 but I know exactly how you feel. Calculating, planning, counting, thinking... Probably overthinking. And then boom I forget my queen is hanging or wait a moment, I am getting mated. I spend a minute on the move and 0.5 sec after I do it I realise what I've done. And always the most simple, primitive way that a beginner would see and counter easily. Well at least I am not the only one
Was the guy "zianchiu" a cheater? Tried to look him up but couldn't find his profile so I'm guessing he was due to this. Irrespective I love your content Nelson it just fits with my thinking style and you don't speak to your user base like shit (a la Gotham). Keep it up man.
What does that even mean? People cheat against 1500s all the time, so its really not a great point you made. Just because one player played bad, doesnt mean the other player didnt cheat.
@@crazyboysince1998 @1:00:00, Bg4, is already a positional mistake. It allows h3, and if the bishop retreats to h5, white gets a crushing position by playing g4, Ne5. Nelson is a NM, and played the opening like a beginner. For that, he accuses him of cheating? Lol. Nelson played like a total noob in the opening. That's why he got crushed. That's exactly what I mean. Sounds like your interpretation of my comment is incorrect.
Out of all the chess tutorials, seeing how a good player calculates has been super beneficial for me. Thanks!

If you don't know, play just a solid move.

I have very little free time, what time commitment is necessary for the class?
It's self paced so you can take your time. Also the group calls will be recorded so you can watch them later if you don't make it live.
