Nice bike.. I also have an '06 of the exact same color. I have owned it since new, and it remains my all-time favorite of many bikes I have owned in my lifetime. I do still like the Bandit 1250 though, a LOT, but, it's not as versatile, and no where near as comfortable.
Going to by one for 3000 dollars my first bike with 4200 miles same bike hopefully it is good as yours for as reliable plan camut to work 50miles a day
Ya nailed it. The autoban 6th gear is not designed for American "legal" limits. But as this vids been out a while and most people speed I use mine more than used to. Also have a 650 which love also. But highway the 1000 is a time machine and time is on your side!
Lyle - I'm confused. Back in my dirt bike days we alway increased the tooth count of the rear sprocket if we want more RPM per given speed, i.e., lowering the final drive ratio "higher numerically". This guy suggests that decreasing the rear sprocket will put the engine in it's power band at lower highway speeds.
Nice looking bike even after all its been through. Did you by chance buy the bike used, I ask because they come stock with a 530 chain, a 520 is used for conversion to get more power & mpg a little ? Best, yl

It's not a bike review! It's a gadget review!
Wow very clean it looks like new, like the idea of sliders mounted fog lights

I have a moto mule trailer as well. I'll be posting a video of it soon on my VentureTube channel. Thanks for watching!
i m between two these bikes....vstrom 1000 and bandit 1250...can you tell me some things to help me what to choose//?
Great video
The givi trekker panniers and top box will snap right on to those racks and they aren't round on top so you can load gear on them easier.
