J. Render’s: Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Cole Slaw, French Fries & Nancy’s Banana Pudding Review

This is a taste test/review of the Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Cole Slaw, French Fries and Nancy’s Banana Pudding from J. Render’s. They are locally owned and operated. Located at 3191 Beaumont Centre Circle in Lexington, KY 40513.
I ordered from the BBQ Sampler with 2 sides where you choose from Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Beef Brisket, Purnell’s Ky Proud Smoked Sausage, Quarter Chicken, 3 Baby Back Ribs and/or Grilled Shrimp. You can choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 meats. I ordered the pick 2 with pulled pork and beef brisket. My sides were Creamy Cole Slaw and House Seasoned French Fries. For dessert, I ordered Nancy’s Banana Pudding.

Food looks great! But $29 but plus tax and tip which comes out to 35-40 depending on how much you tip seems a little steep for that small amount of food... even for a sit-down restaurant

I love some good pulled pork and brisket, but always lean more towards the pulled pork with some sweet BBQ sauce. Sounds like Nancy did good on that Banana Pudding. Yum! Great review Kevin!

Apparently they have a brunch menu and they do banana pudding pancakes. It’s basically the pudding layered between pancakes, but I bet Tami would like that too!!
