looked forward to staying up late every weekend in Akron. He was the coolest thing us kids had ever seen! 12-15 yrs old was a great time to hang with Ghouldardi! Unforgettable. and now at 71 i love his son's quirky films...Ghoulardi productions. A fitting tribute to his creative and irreverent dad!!
A classic. Imagine you’re an 11 year old sneaking up late at night to watch monster movies, and here is this wild man blowing things up, acting irreverent, coming up with whacky lingo and acting half like evil scientist, and half like an anti-establishment early 60’s hipster. It was a special kind of car wreck! RIP Ernie!
Even better. I was 2 or 3 and being awakened by my older brother and sister (14 years older than me), and watching Ghoulardi blow up shit and act a fool for 2 or 3 hours every Friday night. Crime in Cleveland went down when he was on!
actually, he was not fired....he quit to go to LA so his pal Tim Conway could help him find work there. soon, he was the announcer on the Carol Burnette Show, and he took off from there. His last month or so of shows in Clev. were taped in advance. the TV station was very unhappy that he quit
Actually, the demise was more over his Riff with Dorthy Fuldheim... Parma was just a good excuse. Ernie actually made Parma a famous place. Ask anyone from Parma. Ask, Drew Carey,
Had many relatives who lived in Parma, I eventually went there for a few years, it was at one time the largest burb of Cleveland. Had forgotten about his rift with Dorothy!
Stayed up watching one of Ghoulardi's scary movies one night (14 years old), I think it was the Blob. When the movie was over I had to walk from my chair to my bedroom (upstairs in the dark so I did not wake anyone), it was one of the most fearful walks I ever took!😨 Ghoulardi was pure Genius!
There is bad taste EVERYWHERE. In the neighborhood I grew up in, one of the neighbors had a horse jockey on their lawn. I kid you not! And also, while I don't consider it bad taste but more an eccentric, there was a local lady who drove a PINK cadillac or Lincoln Town Car who they called, "The Pink Lady." The "different" people and those with bad taste are everywhere.

The crime rate went down in Cleveland on Friday nights, for real. Everyone watched Ghoulardi

My parents were never passed out drunk, so I could sneak and watch late night tv.
Ernie was brilliant and we all left the dancehall in time to watch him...now that's love. So, cool it with the boom booms group .
Great memories of Ghoulardi, Big Chuck and Houlihan... and cousins Patty, Donnie, Freddy, and Denise :)

Nostalgia ain't what it used 2b
my high school years!!!
Poker!!! Ernie Ghoulardi was the man!
Shock Theater, Channel 8, WJW Cleveland. Great stuff.
This really brings back great memories!
Yes he was the best every Friday or Saturday night on channel 61,him & froggy, hey hey hey, he always says.
You’re thinking of The Ghoul who imitated Ghoulardi. He added a couple wrinkles to the concept but ya, I watched him all the time.
This is outstanding! Thanks!

Dorothy was a mean old woman who had a big mouth.......
I don’t think his demise was Fuldheim related. He was a bread winner, she was old.

the original could not be reproduced.... or appreciated by anyone not raised in Cleveland
Not raised in Ohio. He , Hollihan and Big Chuck and Little Ron are the best.
"Little John" (Rinaldi)
Pretty much most of the horror hosts that you see are descendants of Ghoulardi
OXNARD!
"THE LOOOOVE BOAT."
I've seen that movie before but I thought there was more to it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What a voice that guy had
Starring The End
Joe Bob Briggs! Not only with blood, breasts and beasts, but WITH KNIFS AND DA BOOM BOOMS! ;D
If Polish jokes didn't exist before there was a Parma, OH, they surely came into being AFTER Parma!

I’m proud to say that the pink flamingo was invented in my hometown of Leominster Mass
Parma??!!
Creature feature

"WHITE SOCK ROCK"
Show some irreverence for the King! Humor is a nice poke in the eye. And we all need to mature to a point where people can laugh at themselves.
