The String of Silence

The inspiration for the composition comes from a verse by Indian poet and writer Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941): “I want to tune my strings, in harmony with the eternal music, and when it sobs out its final sound, put my silent instrument at my silent feet.” The work traces the pipa’s relationship with Indian culture, presenting a study of deep, philosophical contemplation.
乐曲的创作灵感来源于泰戈尔的诗句 “我要调拨我的琴弦，与永恒的乐音合拍，当它呜咽出最后的声音时，就把我静默的琴儿放在我静默的脚边”。作品追溯了琵琶起源与印度文化的关系，呈现出一种哲理性的思考。
