I watched Paul Janeway sing this song on Charlie Rose, and I have never been the same. I simply cannot stop listening to this song and Paul's heavenly voice. I also loved his outfit. Awesome. Will be his fan forever.
Watched this 9-26-17 Never knew this guy/group. He talked about meeting Elton John. Close your eyes, you would never think its a white guy singing this. Or that his wife would let him pick this outfit. ( lol )
martind586 I started to listen to the show with my back turned. My husband told me he was a white man and I was like "he absolutely is not" lol. And then I turned around and his voice does not match his looks in more ways than one...and I love it.
Impressive, yet interestingly odd. This is one of those songs you would want to sing to, but as a strong and powerful straight man, it just would feel weird... Kinda like singing to Adel.

I think its about lowering your ego for your woman since in a relationship the man always tends to have the higher ego than the woman and in the song he'll do anything to please her strong admirable and independent woman. at least that's what i understood if he gave this a metaphorical approach :)
i was referring to the song where he portrays it metaphorically. i agree that men and women both have equally strong egos, i mean I've seen some of my female friends that have strong ego whether in a relationship or any matter. but in the song, the way he told the story, he's like saying he's has high pride as part of his personality but for her, he can step down and let her take him wherever she wants. idk though, it's just my interpretation :)

Nice to see ClaytonNapier guitars getting some showtime. Best guitar I’ve ever had.

Muy McGear - Men and women both have equally strong egos, and the only variance is dependent on the individual human being.

A truly confident straight man would have no problems singing this song
