I do this with anything nonhuman lol. I’ve let wasps that got inside crawl onto my hand to be taken outside. They just fly off as soon as I step out the door. Never had anything be aggressive or nervous without cause.

That's so funny when the tree frogs talked about how Floridians would run and scream when tree frogs jump on them. It reminded me of when I was on the phone with my daughter-in-law and my son was out back changing a light bulb. All of a sudden, there was the unearthly, ear-shattering scream of a little girl in the background. I thought one of their kids got hurt, but my DIL said Oh no, that's your big strong son screaming like a girl and wetting himself because a spider fell on him. Good example for the kids, dad.... 😂
They are all over my house here in Florida ! I have pics where they jumped on my knee while sitting on my porch . Love hearing them sing . Puts me right to sleep . I try so hard to not shut them in my door . I do find them in my dogs water in the house sometimes. It’s very hard to catch them lol
Those little green clingons are cool and quite beneficial they 😮even eat young palmetto bugs. But your so right they will piss all over your hand if you try and relocate them. Can't blame them, their native to Fla, and mistake everyone as a tourist.
I used to be terrified of tree frogs cause they jump on you when you pass by but they're merely trying to survive what's coming at them, now that I live in a farm I protect them from the cats and even carry them to safety, my fear has turned to love.❤
My cats are always bringing them in the house. Lizards too. They don't kill them so I'm not sure if they're trying to help them out, like "hetpy man, you should come inside, there's ac in there. Here, I'll carry you" or trying to have their own pets, or what. But I'm constantly having to catch a bunch every morning and put them out. There's also a large lizard that now lives in and around my Roomba. I can't catch him.
I was cleaning the toilet the other day and one swam up out the hole! I screamed and ran out like a crazy person. Went back. Gone! Next day, frog poop on the rim of the bowl. I can't sit on my toilet now without a thorough inspection first. New fear unlocked for sure.
I used to get as many as 10 of those on my window. They are rather slimy feeling. They aren't slimy..they just feel slick and slimy. and sticky. and yes, they jump on you and it is mildly icky if you aren't used to it. and when you catch them to toss them back outside you just HAVE to wash your hands right away. The aren't dirty..it just feels icky.

We had a tree frog, can't recall the species offhand but it was considered rare, that hung out by our back door. I love reptiles and frogs and he never bothered me but my boyfriend does not like frogs at all. Oh he never wanted to hurt the dude but he hated having to go by him to walk inside and it never failed, every time he'd walk by the frog would jump in him. 🤣🤣 The frog loved him. He'd freeze and be like hurry up and get it off me! 🤣 That was some years ago. That frog hung around for a long time (and never stopped wanting to be on my bf) but then disappeared one day. 😥 What can you do, that's life.
Tree frogs! Never had one jump on me, but they are NOISY! My brother was sleeping on our couch, and came and found me to ask what the noise was....couldn't believe it's just frogs. Some were native FL tree frogs, but there's also the cuban tree frogs, which we're supposed to kill because they're invasive. A couple of years ago, our pool chlorine level went down too far, and I found tree frog eggs ALL OVER the surface of the water the next day! Scooped them off, but you can't get them all....some serious tadpole action was going on. :-)

A friend of mine's mom walked up to the door of her house to unlock it and before she could get inside a tree frog , a huge one, jumped and landed on her bare back. My friend said she screamed bloody murder. She didn't know what slimy thing had just slapped her on the back but it scared her.
Had one jump\fall? off the top of the screen door one summer right into my hair! I'm impressed with how well I held it together to extract the little dude!
