- Thanks for checking out this video of the new infotainment / navigation update for the 2021-2022 Hyundai Veloster N's. This update includes a ton of new features and designs from the previous firmware. Unfortunately, this update was only available for a few weeks when it was released, and since then Hyundai has not released it again. At this time when this video was published it still has not been re-released.

Not feeling the new radio look, and I like the spider graph more. Probably not gonna update. Thanks for the video and showing all the features.
Totally agree, the old bulbs radio screen is the best, the new one looks boring AF like my girlfriends new toyota. I like the spider graph better too and the old one had a race screen option also, didn't see it on this new one.
I hate the new radio look! I like the Retro digital look. It felt more different with the style vehicle I drive. Now it looks Bland boring. If my navigation wasn't constantly saying your map is out of date you need to update I would have never done it.

The extra features in the 21+ models are nice, but it's certainty livable with or without them.
Nice! I just got the latest update installed on my Veloster N as well! The performance menu looks a lot better with the update!
Definitely looks a lot better! I like how the red dot around the N on the circuit moves whenever the car is driving. Hyundai did a good job with the small details.

Thanks for posting this, do you know if there's any way to go back to the old screens if you update and don't like it?
I personally don't know if you can revert it back to the prior software. Most likely that would be a question for a service advisor over at a Hyundai dealership
thanks for the vid, how long did it take to install? update files were pretty big when i looked and i didnt have usb drive to fit all that. dont u have to turn on the car to update? or at least electrical on? was bettery okay with it?
I decided to keep the car on so the battery wouldn't die. But it took quite a long time for the files to load. I don't remember exactly but it definitely wasn't anything short
Would this update the Android Auto and Apple Carplay visuals? Is there also a difference on speed or lagginess
did the update fix the android auto problem of not using the entire screen?
Update is up again, just updated it. Sad about the radio update, i did like the vacuum tube look. Looked different before then any car out there, but now similar to every car out there.
did they put the update back on their website or it is no longer available? I see 2019-2020 and Veloster N 2021 update only. my car is 2022 DCT. is it update back available now?
I have no idea if the update is back on the website yet. If you go on their website it should let you know

I know you posted this video about 5 months ago so I don't know if you'll answer or not but I did the update everything worked fine but now when I click maps nothing happens and when I click nav nothing happens nothing pops up I was just wondering should I try to reinstall again or should I try a different download what are your suggestions
Unfortunately I know there were some problems with the software, which is why Hyundai pulled it, but I don't know what exactly to do
@@Jdawgs_tv so update I actually installed it again and for some reason it worked everything works perfectly just seems like the new stuff is just a hair slower than the old stuff but other than that I love the update
Yo, my VN doesn't have Map/Navigation, does this update works too? My VN is 2022
If ur Map/Nav doesnt work, this is prob worth a shot to make it work dont u think?
what about launch control? looks like its hidden even further in the menus to get that turned on :/
Launch control is still available. It's in one of the tabs for the N mode screen

My voice recognition stopped working after the update 😢.

Okay if you're a youngster you might love this update. They're clearly the dude that did the video he's a youngster so that's why he likes the newer look from the update. If you're older you're not going to like it. I don't like it and I have the 2022 Ultra black VN 6 manual shift stick as well. And I hate the new look the spider web which is so easy you could change everything right there on one screen. This update you have to scroll an individually tap it one two three yay I made it before you just hold it down and hold it across boom you got all your settings done. Yeah it's a piece of shit update is what it is. I'm very happy with the look. Not at all. Maybe if I was my twenties I'd be all Slappy happy. Because you would look just like my Apple phone if I had one and if I was my twenties
True, if you like the Nixie tube radio and spider graph you should skip this, it basically makes it like the more modern Elantra N. Also that race track thing only seems useful on a racetrack, trying to match racetrack speeds on the highway would probably get you jumped by motorcycle cops🤔😏

No. It will not work for 2019-2020 models only for 21+

I absolutely do not like the new Veloster in nav update! They got rid of the spider web for tweaking your custom settings. Now it's all planning looks like shit, just my personal Veloster feelings. Not happy with that at all you got to push the buttons and then you it you'll see if you have a Veloster and you're able to get the nav update. I have the 2022 vn 6MT.
The only thing it kept was I think one location the home address. It updated maps for racing vehicles I live in city limits so I clearly can go racing. Hell I get followed by the local PD driving a speed limit God forbid if I would like release the muffler and let it make a pop or two I'd have to hold damn Fleet on my ass.
I definitely would not have updated if I knew what the outcome was going to look like. Totally not sure if they were more focused on EV screens. But I think it looks like shit and it's not user friendly well for me it isn't. I think it's stupid. Sorry ADHD kicks in only when I get agitated. He shows it in the video custom normal sport that kind of thing I think the spider web effect was so much easier it shows you that too it was just easy very simple this you got to scroll to find shit that can't fit it all in one fucking screen the spider web was like all there. Yeah not happy with it anyway I'm just going to keep rambling on because it's easy to do when you're texting. It took 2 hours and 45 minutes for my fucking car to do the update.
A lot of mixed reviews on do not turn your car off it's okay to turn your car off or if you turn it off it could cause problems Hyundai site do not turn off car it ran for 45 minutes and I was like fuck it if it fucks up it it is what it is. I'm sure if someone fucks up their system there is a way to fix it it just might be a little Financial reset underneath the hood. So I turn the fucking car off came back 20 minutes started the car up and it said update complete. Well that's funny it was only 5% updating when I turned it off. Waste of gas 93% octane ain't cheap.!
I agree, the spider graph and nixie tube radio were old school features, the update makes it like the modern Elantra N rather than old school Veloster N, because the Veloster N still has a dial speedometer and tach🤔😏
I think its a visual downgrade imo
Definitely a bit different, but personally I've been pretty happy with it
i think so too but the N custom looks dope. Would prefer the spider graph tho for an easier customization.
