It was created by a Korean who was moved to Japan during Ilje Gangjeom-gi. Well balanced modern martial art discipline born directly out of historical circumstance. It is is Robert Whittaker's base I believe.

Thats because Kali's core idea is using a knife to strike the vulnerable points of ur eneys, in the jugular vein n stuff. He said its more of a guide for offensive, for killing than self defense cus it involves worryingly harming your eneys that it goes in grey areas of the self def laws in most countrys. (Unless if the knife is replaced with a baton for considerations). Bcus he said that defense is supposed to be a prepared counter againts the harmer, not being apart and violently endangering the harmer as well.

You have no idea what kali is. Look up older videos of kali if you're tired of modern bullshido in western kali. I'm in the Philippines. For East Asian Martial arts I think top 5 most effective are 1. Muay Thai 2. Judo 3. Karate 4. Sanshou/Sanda 5. Taekwondo At the end of the day depends on how well the fighter uses different techniques and applies in changing situations. IMO most ineffective are Traditional Kung Fu styles and Aikido

But it is a grappling technique, mostly...you should preferably know how to grapple as well as strike, so distance/positioning doesn't matter so much (to be at a disadvantage, etc) They all have their flaws...like kick-boxers are typically weak to low attacks, etc That being said, Aikido really isn't that good these days, "New Style" specifically (they don't teach "Old Style" anymore, too many people got F*d up in the dojo's & it is far superior to "New"). it really depends on who are you fighting against...there's too many variables...let's say you are a muay thai and you are facing against a boxer like terence crawford or manny pacquiao...a boxer that has power and speed...I think they can knock you out the same time you throw your legs out or knocks you out faster because of their speed and power plus in a street fight you won't wear gloves...Imagine a boxer hits you without gloves...Legs maybe has the range but I think a fist is more faster than legs...So it really depends on who you are fighting against...
All martial arts would be more effective if hits to the crotch, throat/neck, or eye were legal (used in a serious situation) or if arm breaks, knee breaks, etc were performed.
Muay Thai low kick is extremely dangerous and hurts like hell. They actually train the shin with glass bottle and hitting the bat harden their shin yikes !!
If the rules were kill or die even Muay Thai guys will kick your guts instead of legs and punch your throat instead of your face and a judoka can fold your hand and throw which will not only hurt your back but you'll also have a broken arms. It's original form, made for the Korean Army when he was General Chang, called Teng Su Do (spelling?) is actually pretty effective, as is neither civilian nor sport. Aikido is good for grappling, Judo is arguably better. As far as I recall, both styles are somewhat related as their base forms are Aikijujitsu and jujitsu, respectively... Jujitsu isn't Brazilian tho...even the naming isn't. I think you are confusing the popularity the Gracie family (who definitely ARE Brazilian) brought to it/Gracie family Jujitsu. Maybe I am wrong, but I remember studying Aikido under Shihan Yukio Kawahara, both it's history and style (our dojo had a picture of O' Sensei (Morihei Ueshiba) as well as Jigaro Kano on the wall & he went into that, explaining why we shared a dojo with Judoka, being Aikidoka ourselves (tho he didn't go into the Gracie's, I'm just familiar with them from original UFC etc).
