1st big bro love from 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
According to the manual, available online:
Remove:
•
pin springs (B) Fig. A
•
fixing pins (A) Fig. A
•
Remove the brake pads (C) Fig. B
insert the new ones, job done. No need to dismantle anything at all. I about to fit EBC's to mine so thought I would check the manual first.
The 502 and 502X use different front calipers and pads.
Thanks for the info 😎🤘🇬🇧
@@BenelliTomTRKI just did mine. The manual is incorrect. I could only get three of the old pads out, and the new ones in, without removing the calipers. The outside lower pads on each side would not slide out, or slide in. They use red thread lock on the caliper bolts, one side was hell to unbolt, had to use an extension bar the crack the threads loose. All done now though! :)
That sounds like you had a nightmare of a time. Am happy you got it sorted out. Stay upright bro. 😎🤘🇬🇧. Tom
Is the TRK 502 reliable and are parts easily available? Would you recommend the X version? And which sprocket would you recommend on the 502 and 502X? Thanks
Good man Tom.Great video again.Gentleman.Saving us all a few quid! Superb.
I hope I can save you money Christopher. Thanks for watching bro 😎🤘

Hi Tom, i had the same issue as you when taking it off, so i watched your video to see how to do it👍. I strongly recommend when you change your pads you clean them with disk break cleaner and when putting the pads in put copper grease on the back of the plats and on the spring pins as well as the conecting bolts to the frame this insures that all stay lubricanted and when the time comes to changing them again they are easier to remove.
Excellent advice Angel thanks bro. Tom 😎🤘🇬🇧

Applause. This operation is possible without removing the clamp. The brake pads come out through the caliper.
This is a good way to spend time with the machine.
Thanks Red for the advice. Stay upright my friend. 😎🤘🇬🇧
@@BenelliTomTRK In the short term I will be doing this. Winter maintenance. Motorbike drivetrain replacements, brake service, replacement of some fluids.

@@mbz4652 Parts - no problems. TRK502X - to high for me.
But... Brakes, suspension, sprockets... TRK502 is better for me than X.
Thanks for that will get them changed.mine are feeling a bit worn

Had mine for 4 years . put 33000 miles on it and never had a issue.i am six foot 3 in tall and the X is perfect.if you are not that tall the standard version is best as it has a lower seat height.
BT... Another great lesson. Brilliant!
I just turned 2800 miles on the bike and the brakes feel ok to me. I wish I had a bit more "room" on the front brake pull so I could be smoother with my first and last 5% of braking but that may just be my skill level and not a mechanical issue. I have another 5000-6500 miles planed for this season. When should I look at a pad replacement? Same time I look at tires?
Many thanks and keep the vids coming!!
Hi William my bike only has 1200 miles on it. I upgraded the pads they didn’t need to be changed. But holy smokes what a huge difference it make the front break is a million times better. Trust me mate change your pad’s.

Hey Tom...what does that horn sound like? Would love to see a video show the loudness of it! Thanks Mate! Marana, AZ, 🇺🇸
Ok Steve will do
Were you experiencing issues with the stock brake pads to cause you to invest in new / other pads? Just curious 🤔
I have 4,500 miles on my 502 and have never been given a reason to think the stock pads weren't enough. Great video however! Thx Tom

Hi Steve hope your well mate. No there’s no problem with the stock brake pads. Whoever after upgrading the pads to ECB PADS. There’s a massive difference much much better stopping power. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. Steve if my videos have helped you and you would like to support my channel. Please do at PayPal.me/maher923. Thanks so much mate happy Easter God bless. Stay safe and upright. Tom 🤘😎🇬🇧
Another great video, just wondering do you need to put any copper grease on tha back of the pads to stop any squealing, like you do with car brakes.
Good Question Ian. The old pads had no grease . But if I had some copper grease I would have put some on. Thanks for watching bro. 🤘😎
mate mine is different brake pads mine is a 2022 model trk502x it comes in one piece
502X and 502 have different front brake pads.
nope it depends on the year of the bike
