Vanilla feels cohesive and everything makes sense when you see it, plus the features they add are integrated with the game systems and not just plugged in, making it more stable and feel like part of the whole. That's why some people prefer vanilla. That's also what made Minecraft top the charts, it's simple and clean approach is attractive to an extremely wide audience. Even a lite modpack is often less stable and more prone to crashing than even the least stable vanilla releases as well, unless the only mods you're using are UI and performance mods. The funny thing is, there IS a very old mod called Ugocraft that did a fair amount of similar stuff back in the day, but it was lost with Archimedes Ships in 0.6.0 :)
Watching this video genuinly made me emotional. I just stumbled onto this mod today after a long time of finding minecraft to be dull to the lack of genuinly interesting updates the game has had over the last years I have just found myself getting bored with a lot of the parts of the game. The biggest problem that I have had with minecraft through out the entirety of its life is the fact that apart from visual apeal most builds server absolutely no purpose. Farms in minecraft just seem so chunky and are very hard to make into a visual masterpiece and I feel like this video shows how this mod just solves that issue without a problem. Every room in this build seems to be built with intent and it just completely changes the way you look at each build. The wide variety of transportation aslo brings such a change to the beauty of minecraft machines that always seem very clunky. The machinery is also beatuful in the way that it doesnt actually bend to far away from the artstyle of the game and it really is just great craftmanship. Honestly great props to the developers of this mod. I haven't tried it yet and if this mod runs as smoothly as it looks in this video I might honeslty be tempted to say that this will go down as the GOAT of minecraft mods.
This is honestly so mind blowing, like I feel the same way watching this as I did way back in highschool with industrial craft. Like that's how much it changes the game. It's like Minecraft mods 2. Absolutely unreal work
The brilliant attention to detail and subversion of expectations really make this great. The minecart going INTO the train, the serene bamboo grove being harvested by a hidden contraption, the collapsing arch pulling away…and then still being the facade below are all brilliant ways to show just how fundamentally different this type of minecraft is from the usual way people play it.
I'm a programmer and it blows my mind that this is even possible, let alone that it works so fantastically well, the devs truly deserve a prize for this, especially knowing how badly Minecraft is coded
I just started my adventure with Create. When I saw the train, I was surprised. I may not be a good engineer, I may never used Create, but now, it is time, to begin.
I have no words as to how awesome that was! I am just starting to learn the mod, and to see videos like this gets me so excited to all the possibilities! Thank you!
Here’s a tip for you: when you look through your inventory, you’ll see that the more complicated items will say either “Hold [Shift] for summary” or “Hold [w] to ponder” when you hover over them with your mouse. For items with a summary, doing that will expand the tooltip to show you more info, and for items that you can ponder, it will bring up a full-blown animated tutorial which will show you exactly how to use them. Just look for those, and you’ll have all the info you need to get started! Hope this helps!
This seems like such a massive update to an already extremely impressive mod. I can't wait to play around with all the new stuff. And those tracks look amazing, by the way.
The ability to ponder is probably the most clever feature added. Thanks to it I wasn’t overwhelmed and I managed to make a fully automated cactus xp farm factory. And this is coming from a rookie who just got this mod a few days ago.
Nah, there was a mod that came close, Archimedes’ Ships mod was one of the best mods for MC ever, sadly it was never taken further beyond 1.7.10, though with the new sub-mods for create it seems as though they’ll add Aircrafts, vehicles and submarines to create, a spectacle to see in the future
@@limethechef4372 Yeah, it goes really under the radar, because for years you could only download it from the mod's website, so it basically only spread by word of mouth. Also people assumed the mod was dead because the mod was still on 1.7.10 (it updated, just not to newer versions of Minecraft). There is a work in progress port now to the latest versions of Minecraft, but for now definitely play the Legacy version, because it has WAY more content.
Of course though, there isn't anything wrong with prefering custimization or complexity. This is why they coexist with their modding community so well, most other developers would ignore modders at best and punish them at worst. Mojang encourages it, and even has hired on modders before.
"Vanilla Minecraft is a joke" is a super poorly thought out take and fails to capture the full picture. The only point I agree with you on is that mods are great for people who have mastered the vanilla systems and want more challenge or complexity.

I had a smile on my face the entire time. What a magical video. I'm intimidated by Create but this was so completely wonderful.
If you hold W while hovering over a Create block in your inventory, it will play a short video telling you how to use it. An understated feature of the mod to be sure, but IMO it’s the single best thing Create has done, and it honestly should be spun off into its own Patchouli-style API mod so that more devs can make use of it.

Absolutely unreal work
This mod is everything we always wanted and then some, amazing talent behind each and every fibre of this project, keep up the great work!
The brilliant attention to detail and subversion of expectations really make this great. The minecart going INTO the train, the serene bamboo grove being harvested by a hidden contraption, the collapsing arch pulling away…and then still being the facade below are all brilliant ways to show just how fundamentally different this type of minecraft is from the usual way people play it.
watching all the contraptions work just fills me with satisfaction
I love how the bell and whistle have faces it’s strangely cute for a bunch of steampunk machines
I swear, the devs always have the coolest ways to announce updates!
I'm a programmer and it blows my mind that this is even possible, let alone that it works so fantastically well, the devs truly deserve a prize for this, especially knowing how badly Minecraft is coded
Luckily, there's an engines like Forge or Fabric. And some user's libs. This really helps
I just started my adventure with Create. When I saw the train, I was surprised. I may not be a good engineer, I may never used Create, but now, it is time, to begin.
Good lord is it fun
